                    Sofia's Point of View
When we made it back to the party, everyone instantly became quiet and looked at us. I decided I should say something to everyone.
"I am sorry for what happened a while ago. I thank all of you for coming to help me celebrate my birthday," I said. An older couple walked up to me with smiles on their faces. "You have no reason to be sorry, Sweety. No one blames you for what happened between you and your mother," The lady said, and everyone agreed.
"Thank you," I said.
"Sofia, this is my head warrior Larry and his Mate Leena," My dad said as he walked over to me with Stacie by his side.
"It is nice to meet you, Sofia," Larry said
"It's nice to meet you, too," I replied
"Alpha Don hasn't stopped talking about you since he found out he had a daughter. He keeps telling everyone how proud he is of you," Leena said
"Yeah, He swears he is the reason that his daughter is the future Werewolf Queen," Larry whispered, but I knew my dad heard him because of his werewolf hearing. It seemed everyone heard him because they all started to laugh.
"Well, we all know she did get it from me," My dad said, and I couldn't help but smile at him.
The music started to play again, and everyone went back to enjoying themselves. Ethan took me to the table where our family was sitting.
"Are you okay, Honey?" Grandma Mandy asked
"Yes, I am fine," I replied
"I can't believe Tina would make a scene like that. I am going to talk some sense in her if it's the last thing I do," Grandpa Thomas said.
"Let's not talk about this now, Mom and Dad. Right now, we should be thinking about Sofia and making this day all about her," Stacie said
"You are right. I am sorry for bringing it up, Honey." Grandma Mandy said
"It's okay. I understand why you are upset," I replied, and I looked at Stacie. "I am so sorry about how my mom spoke to you. She had no right to say all of those mean things to you," I said
"You have no reason to apologize for what your mom did. It isn't your fault, okay?" Stacie said, and I nodded.
"Okay," I replied
"Good, now it's time for the cake," Stacie said as Eric rolled out a light blue giant layered cake. The cake was my size.
"Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday, Dear Future Queen Sofia. Happy Birthday to you," Everyone sang as Ethan guided me over to where the cake was. There were eighteen candles on the cake as well as two candles with a one and eight.
"Blow out the candles," Ethan said, and I did what he had asked. Ethan handed me a knife so that I could cut the first piece of cake. I cut the cake and took the first bite, and everyone cheered. Ethan wrapped his arms around me and kissed my lips softly. "Happy Birthday, My Love," Ethan said, and I couldn't help but smile.
"Thank you," I replied
"I love seeing you smile," Ethan said as we danced to a slow song. The night had been going great, and it was nine-fifty, which meant I only had about twenty more minutes until I officially turned eighteen.
"Well, I am happy that you are happy," Ethan replied, and he kissed me on the top of my head. "How about we go for a walk," Ethan said
"That sounds like a good idea," I replied. I knew Ethan wanted to be alone with me because he thought I would get my wolf. We told our parents that we were going for a walk and then we left.
"You know this is the first time I celebrated my birthday. I never even had a birthday cake. Mom never even told me happy birthday. I remember when I was in kindergarten, one of the kids brought everyone cupcakes on her birthday. When I got home, I asked my mom if I could bring cupcakes on mine, and she told me that no one would want to celebrate my birthday. She said that the day I was born, I ruined her life. I went to my room crying that night. I never asked her for cupcakes again," I said. I could tell Ethan was made through the bond by what I had told him.
"I am sorry you had to go through that. Trust me, I will make sure that your birthday is special from now on," Ethan said. We ended up walking in the woods to the lake.
"It is ten o' eight," Ethan said. I was nervous because that meant I had two minutes until my birthday.
"What's wrong?" Ethan asked
"I am afraid my wolf won't surface," I said
"You have nothing to worry about. Even if your wolf doesn't surface, I will still love you," Ethan said for the hundredth time, and I knew he was telling the truth. We sat on a log and looked at the moon. It was a beautiful night. It was warm, and the moon was shining brightly.
Suddenly, while I was looking in the water, I could see the fish down below. I looked out into the trees and could see better in the dark. I could hear the sounds of the people at my party, which was strange because we were far away. Then, I could smell the most delicious smell of wood and pine. I knew it was coming from Ethan. It was the smell I normally smelled on him, but now it was more powerful.
"Sofia," Ethan said as I got on his lap and started smelling him. The sparks that were going through me were way stronger than they were before. Ethan stayed still as I kept sniffing him.
"You smell so good," I purred. Then I looked him in the eyes, and he looked at me with a shocked expression before he started to smile.
"Your eyes are dark as night. Your wolf is surfacing just like I thought," Ethan said.
Suddenly, I heard the words Mate in my head. I looked at Ethan's neck, and my mouth started to water. I had this sudden urge to bite him. I tried to, but I couldn't fight the urge. I hugged him tightly, and I could feel my teeth extending as I smelled his intoxicating, manly scent, which I loved.
"Sofia," Ethan started to say, but I cut him off.
"Mine," I said, and Ethan groaned when I bit deep into his neck.
Tina's Point of View
I couldn't believe Sofia would speak to me with such disrespect. How could she put that bitch before me? She took up for her. Well, if Sofia doesn't want me to be in her life, then fuck her too. I walked into my apartment and jumped in shock when I saw King Lestat sitting on my couch.
"Oh, you scared me," I said
"How did it go? Did you give her the potion?" King Lestat asked. It was then that I remembered I was supposed to put a potion in Sofia's drink that King Lestat had given me.
"No, they wouldn't let me inside," I said
"That isn't what I heard. I heard you were disrespectful and got kicked out. How could you be so careless," King Lestat said
"I had every right to be upset. That bitch," I started to say, but he cut me off.
"I don't care what happened. That potion would have fixed everything. You better hope they don't complete the mating process tonight. If they do, you are dead," King Lestat said, and then he disappeared.
I thought about telling Sofia about the danger that was after her, but I decided against it. That bitch Stacie can help her since she wants her to be her mom anyway.
