                    Sofia's Point of View
When Eric told me that every female in the werewolf community could challenge me so that they could become the Werewolf Queen, I was shocked and hurt. I couldn't believe that Ethan didn't tell me that. No one told me about the challenge.
When I asked Ethan why he didn't tell me, he told me he was never going to let anyone challenge me. He said I didn't have to accept anyone's challenge. I honestly didn't want to fight anyone, but when Eric said everyone would think I was weak if I didn't accept the challenge, I knew I couldn't back down.
"I will go accept anyone's challenge if they challenge me," I said, causing everyone to look at me.
"No, I won't let you fight. It would be useless anyway. I would never take anyone else as my Mate. You are the only one I will ever be with," Ethan said, causing my heart to melt. I could feel in the bond that he meant every word.
"I have to, Ethan. If I don't, everyone will see me as weak. No one would respect me as Queen if I backed down," I said
"I will make sure they respect you," Ethan said
"You know you can't be with me every second of the day. You know I have to do this," I said as I placed my hand on his. Ethan closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths to calm himself down.
"I have to do this, Ethan," I said
"I know," Ethan said, but I could feel that he didn't like it.
"When does the challenge begin?" I asked
"You might not like this, but I think we should do it now. We have so much we have to do, like figure out who killed Vera, and we still have to punish Jane. It would be best to get this over with," Eric said
"But you said every female can challenge me. How are they going to do that if they are far away?" I asked
"Most of the werewolf community is still here because of your birthday yesterday. They stayed because you two completed the mating progress. The territory is full of werewolves right now. This is the best time to call for the challenge," Eric said
"This is too soon, Dad," Ethan said
"No, Your dad is right. I am ready," I said
"Are you sure? I mean, you haven't even shifted yet," Ethan asked
"I have been training my magic with Tabatha. I am ready," I said, and Ethan sighed
"Okay, but I don't like this," Ethan said
"Okay, I will call for everyone to meet us in the fighting field in an hour for the challenge," Eric said.
"Are you sure you want to do this? I will call this off now if you change your mind," Ethan said as we walked to the fighting field. I knew he was hoping I would tell him to call the challenge off, but there was no way I was going to do that.
"I am sure, Ethan. I have to do this," I said. As we got closer to the fighting field, I was shocked to see all the werewolves that were there. Eric, Tammie, Stacie, and my dad were there waiting for us in the ring.
"Hey," Stacie said and she hugged me
"Hey," I replied as I hugged her back
"You okay, Princess?" My dad asked as he hugged me.
"Yeah," I replied nervously
"Everything is going to be okay. You are strong. Remember that," My dad said and I nodded.
"We should get this started," Eric said
"Okay," I replied.
"You will do great. I love you," Stacie said as she hugged me. I could tell she was telling the truth. She had treated me better than my mom ever did.
"I love you too," I replied
"I love you, Sofia. Remember, you are stronger than you know. You are my daughter, after all," My dad said
"I love you too, and thanks," I replied, and they walked out of the ring, leaving Eric, Tammie, Ethan, and me. Tammie and Eric walked to the middle of the ring, hand in hand.
"Silence," Eric said in a commanding tone I knew was his Alpha command. I was nervous as he spoke to the werewolves in the audience. Suddenly, I heard a voice in my head.
"Don't worry, Little Human. Everything is going to be okay," I heard the voice say, shocking me. I must have been going crazy.
"No, you are not crazy. I am really talking to you, and you don't have to worry about anything. If anyone challenges us, they will die," the voice said. That was when I realized who was speaking to me. My wolf.
