                    Ethan's Point of View
"How dare they treat my mate like that? Who the hell do they think they are? I am going to kill everyone that has harmed my mate," Jason growled. After Layla had run away from him. Sofia ran after her, and my dad, Nick, Don, Stacie, my mom, and I were in my father's office discussing what we knew about Layla.
"Jason, you need to calm down," Don said
"How do you expect me to calm down when I just learned my mate was forced to be with another man?" Jason said and he punched the wall creating a hole to form.
"Son, you need to calm down," Don said
"Yes, Honey. You need to keep it together for your mate. She would be frightened if she saw you like that," Stacie added.
"I know you are hurting, but this isn't helping the situation. The best thing we can do is find out everything that has been going on in the Midnight Pack. You need to keep it together because your mate is going to need you," I said, and Jason sighed before closing his eyes for a moment.
"You are right. I am sorry," Jason said, and then he looked at my dad. "Sorry for punching your wall," Jason said
"It's alright. If I were in your situation, I would have most likely done the same thing, if not worse," my dad said, and Jason sat down. A moment later, Sof walked into the office and looked at the wall.
"What happened to the wall?" Sof asked
"Jason lost it for a moment," I replied as Sof sat beside me on the couch.
"What else do you know about what happened to her?" Jason asked
"Nothing really. She barely said anything to us. All she said was that Joe wasn't her mate and that she didn't want to be with him. I asked her if she felt safe and wanted to stay and she told me that she didn't feel safe so I had her pack her things. The only Pack Members that would talk were the ones the we brought with us today. I could tell most of them were afraid to say anything about their treatment," I said
"I need to find out what happened to my mate. I am going to go speak to her," Jason said and he stood from his seat but Sofia got in front of him.
"That is not a good idea, Jason," Sofia said, and Jason growled, causing Don, my dad, Nick, and I to stand up as well. I wrapped my hands protectively around her and growled back at him.
"You need to calm down, son. Watch how you treat your sister," Don said. We knew Jason would never hurt Sofia and that he was just upset about the situation but none of us liked the way he growled at her. It took a lot for me not to rip his head off his body.
"I am sorry. I didn't mean to growl. I just want to talk to her," Jason said
"I know, but you have to understand that Layla has been through a lot. She won't be comfortable talking to you right now because you are a man. I am sure she hasn't had a good male figure in her life," Sofia said
"I am her mate. I would never hurt her," Jason said
"I know that but she needs time. You need to be patient with her if you want to gain her trust," Sof said and Jason sighed. He knew Sofia was right. "I will go and try talking to her. She might feel more comfortable telling me what happened," Sof said
"I think that is a good idea. You two are close in age. She will feel more comfortable talking to someone her age," Stacie said
"Okay, thanks, sis," Jason said, and Nick laughed, causing everyone to look at him
"What is so funny?" Jason asked
"I just realized Your mate is eighteen years old, which makes her older than you," Nick said
"That is what you are thinking about right now?" Sofia asked as she rolled her eyes.
"No, it just came to my mind," Nick said
"I am going to go talk to Layla," Sof said, and she kissed my lips softly before walking out of the room.
"You are younger than your mate?" Nick joked
"Not that much younger," Jason said
Sofia's Point of View
I made my way to Layla's room, which was close to where Jason's room was. I hoped she would talk to me. She seemed really afraid when I walked her to her room.
As I was walking to Layla's room, I bumped into someone. "Oh, are you okay," I asked as I looked at the female I had bumped into. She looked to be around my age, but I had never seen her before.
Before she could answer, another lady around Stacie's age got in my face. "Watch where you are going."
