Sofia's Point of View
"I can't believe our baby is lying unconscious in a hospital bed," Tammie said. It had been over thirty minutes, and Ella still hadn't woken up. I hated seeing my best friend on a bed, unconscious with an IV in her arm. I couldn't help but wonder who had done that to her. Who would have given her wolfsbane? I knew it had to be someone she knew. Someone who might have had access to her room.
"Mmm," Everyone looked down to see Ella moving around. Then, she opened her eyes.
"Oh, you are up," Tammie said happily.
"I am going to go and get the doctor," Eric said, quickly getting out of his chair.
Ella tried to sit up, but she groaned and put her hand on her forehead. "You need to lay down, Sweetie," Tammie said, and Ella did without hesitation.
"What happened? Why am I in the hospital?" Ella asked in a raspy voice. Ethan quickly got up and put some water in a cup with a straw. He walked over to her and held the cup out for her to take a sip. A moment later, Eric came back into the room with the Doctor.
"Hello, Princess Ella. How are you feeling?" The Doctor asked
"I have a terrible headache," Ella said
"That is to be expected after what you have been through. What is the last thing you remember?" The Doctor asked, and Ella thought for a moment before responding.
"I remember I had woken up late for Jane and Linda's trial because I forgot to set my alarm, so I was rushing to get ready. I went into the kitchen and poured myself some orange juice. I took a sip, and the last thing I remember is feeling dizzy," Ella said
"That is because someone put wolfsbane in your juice," Eric said
"What? Who would do that?" Ella asked, and then she started to frown. "It had to be Amy," Ella said
"What do you mean it had to be Amy? Why would you think it was her?" Tammie asked
"Because she came to my room last night to talk. She told me she wanted us to get along. She said she didn't know why I didn't like her and wanted me to tell her so she could make an effort for us to get along," Ella said
"Did she go into the kitchen?" Eric asked
"No. I told her we would never be friends because I know what she came back to do," Ella said
"What did she come here to do?" Eric asked
"She came back to get with Ethan," Ella said
"What? That can't be true. We are cousins," Ethan said
"Not biologically. I know she wants to be with you," Ella said
"I agree with Ella," I said, and everyone looked at me.
"Why do you say that, My Love?" Ethan asked
"Because yesterday, when she bumped into me, she was very rude. Her mom said that you were going to punish me for Amy. They even called me an omega," I said
"They called you what? Why didn't you tell me," Ethan growled. I could feel through the bond that he wasn't upset with me. He was upset with Amy and her mom.
"I didn't say anything because I didn't want to cause any more problems. We already have enough of that as it is. I could tell they were upset when they found out I was your mate," I said
"Was she the only one in your room?" Eric asked
"No, some of my friends from school came to spend time with me as well," Ella said
"And did any of them go into the kitchen?" Eric asked
"Yeah," Ella said
"So it must have been one of them," Eric said
"No. It was Amy," Ella said
"But you said she didn't go into the kitchen. How could she have been the one to put the wolfsbane in the orange juice if she didn't go in there?" Eric said, and Ella was silent for a moment. "Look, I will question her, but if she wasn't in the kitchen, then she couldn't have done it. I need you to tell me everyone else that was in your room so I can question them as well," Eric said
"Okay," Ella replied.
"It is almost time for Lacy's trial. We need to get to the fighting field," Eric said
"You all go. I will stay with Ella," I said. I didn't want to leave Ella alone.
"Okay, we will be back once we are finished," Tammie said.
"Okay," Ella said
Ethan went over to Ella and hugged her. "You had me worried there for a moment, sis. Don't do that again," Ethan said
"I will try my best," Ella said, and Ethan walked over to me, wrapped his arms around me, and kissed the top of my head.
"I will be back once I make sure Lacy is in Rogue Territory. I will have guards outside of this room. Please, stay with them," Ethan said
"Okay," I replied, and they left Ella and me alone in the room.
"Do you really think it was Amy?" I asked
"I don't think it was Amy. I know it was," Ella said, and I felt she was right.

"Because she came to my room last night to talk. She told me she wanted us to get along. She said she didn't know why I didn't like her and wanted me to tell her so she could make an effort for us to get along," Ella said
"Did she go into the kitchen?" Eric asked
"No. I told her we would never be friends because I know what she came back to do," Ella said
"What did she come here to do?" Eric asked
"She came back to get with Ethan," Ella said
"What? That can't be true. We are cousins," Ethan said

"I agree with Ella," I said, and everyone looked at me.
"Why do you say that, My Love?" Ethan asked

"You all go. I will stay with Ella," I said. I didn't want to leave Ella alone.
"Okay, we will be back once we are finished," Tammie said.
"Okay," Ella said
Ethan went over to Ella and hugged her. "You had me worried there for a moment, sis. Don't do that again," Ethan said
"I will try my best," Ella said, and Ethan walked over to me, wrapped his arms around me, and kissed the top of my head.
"I will be back once I make sure Lacy is in Rogue Territory. I will have guards outside of this room. Please, stay with them," Ethan said
"Okay," I replied, and they left Ella and me alone in the room.
"Do you really think it was Amy?" I asked
"I don't think it was Amy. I know it was," Ella said, and I felt she was right.
