Sofia's Point of View
"Mom, I need you to tell me everything you know. Did Mr. King tell you anything about me being a part of a prophecy?" I asked, and my mom sighed
"All he told me was that you were his beloved. The night I left the Wolf Fang Pack I met my father in the woods. He told me that I needed to go with him to see the vampire King. I asked him why and he told me because I was part vampire. I didn't believe him. When I didn't go willingly he had Vera cast a spell on me which caused me to pass out. Once I got there King Lestat told me that I was a vampire just like my father did. I told him that I wasn't a vampire and he must have the wrong woman. He told me I was the woman he was looking for and that I would know soon.
A few days went past and they kept me locked in a room. I started having these cravings. Cravings I had never had before. Everytime one of the human slaves that King Lestat had in his castle walked into my room I would get very hungry. Hungriar than I had ever been before. About five days later I couldn't take the hunger anymore and I attacked one of the women. I jumped on her and my fangs went into her neck. A few moments later, she was lying lifeless on the ground. It took me a moment to realize what I had done," My mom said
"You drank her blood," Ethan said, and my mom nodded
"Yes, I did. I was shocked after it happened. I couldn't believe I had done that. All of a sudden, someone started to laugh. It was King Lestat.
"This isn't funny," I told him as I glared at him.
"I know it's not funny. I am just happy you realized who you really are," King Lestat said
"I am not a vampire," I said
"Not fully, but you are part vampire, and the second you realize that the easier it will be to control your urges," King Lestat said
"I can help you control your hunger," my dad said
"You will need our help, Tina, especially since you are with child," King Lestat said, shocking me
"What? No, I am not. That's impossible," I said. There was no way I was pregnant.
"It's not impossible and you know it. I can already sense the child. It has a strong heartbeat. That let's me know that the child will be very powerful," King Lestat said.
I took them up on their offer to help me. King Lestat and my father helped me get stronger, and Vera helped me with my powers. I felt so lucky to have them help me, especially my father. I thought he really cared about me, but I was so wrong.
"What do you mean?" Ethan asked
"I overheard King Lestat and my dad talking. They were talking about Sofia and how she would be his once she was born. I was about to run, but Vera appeared behind me. I told King Lestat that he would never take you from me and that was when he told me that you were destined to be his beloved. He said that you were meant to be together and that he wanted to make sure you were safe. He said I would raise you in his castle. I didn't want that. I promised him that if he let me leave, I would give you to him when you turned eighteen," My mom said
"So, you basically sold Sofia to him? She is your daughter," Tammie said
"That wasn't what I was trying to do. Vera knew that. She came to me and told me that she had something that you could take to make sure he would never be able to find you. She also gave me a ring that would make it impossible for him to find me. I don't know why she did it, and I didn't ask. I didn't want her to change her mind. I didn't want him to find either of us. I tried my best to keep you from him," My mom said
"You still shouldn't have kept her identity away from her. Also, you should have told us what was going on, Tina. Why would you keep what King Lestat was planning from us?" Grandma Mandy asked
"I was upset. I could tell she would rather have her as a mom instead of me, so why should I? She even embarrassed me in front of an entire pack of werewolves," My mom said
"So you decided not to tell us what was going on? He kidnapped her," Stacie said
"Shut up. I don't want to hear anything from you," My mom said
"She is your daughter," Stacie said
"You don't think I know that? When I found out I was pregnant with her all I wanted to do was protect her. I ran from the vampire King and kept her out of the radar. I love my daughter," My mom said
"If you love her, then why did you mistreat her," Grandpa Thomas asked.
"Because she looks just like him. Every time I looked at her, I remembered everything he did to me. I wanted to be a good mom to her, but I couldn't," My mom said
"That is not an excuse," I said. I was pissed that she always came up with an excuse for why she mistreated me, but nothing would make it right. I was a child. I had nothing to do with what happened between my mom and dad.
"Calm down, everyone. We don't have time for this. We need to learn more about this prophecy," Eric said
"I don't know much about it. Sofia will be at her strongest once she is officially the Werewolf Queen. She is already eighteen now, so once she drinks your blood, Ethan, she will be at her strongest. Vampires are at their strongest once they drink their beloved blood. I guess in your case, mate's blood. King Lestat believes she is his beloved, so he wants her to drink his blood. I am sure she is planning on a way to get her before you become the werewolf queen tomorrow so that I would watch out," My mom said
"Okay, we need to prepare. Let's go," Ethan said
"Sofia," My mom said, and I looked at her. "Can I talk to you alone?" My mom asked. I could tell no one wanted to leave me alone with her. "Sure," I said, and I looked at Ethan. "I will meet you in the car," I said
"Are you sure?" Ethan asked
"Yeah," I replied
"Okay," Ethan said, and everyone left.
"Sof, I am really sorry for the way I have treated you. I was hoping that you would give me another chance," my mom started to say, but I cut her off.
"No, I am not giving you another chance. You have done nothing but hurt me, and I am tired of it. I don't trust you, and I can't be around someone I can't trust," I said, and I walked towards the door.
"So, that bitch won. She succeeded in taking you from me," My mom said
"No, Stacie did nothing. You are to blame for my feelings toward you. This will be the last time I visit you," I said, and I walked away. I couldn't stop the tears from falling from my eyes, but I knew I needed to do this. Tina would never be the mom I wanted her to be.
