Sofia's Point of View
The feeling of someone shaking me woke me up. When I opened my eyes, I saw Ella standing above me with a smile on her face. "It's time to get up. You know what today is. It's your Luna Queen Ceremony." Ella said. I was shocked to see her up and excited so early in the morning. It was only a little after seven. I looked over to the side where Ethan usually sleeps and saw it was still empty. I knew he hadn't come back to our room because his side looked untouched. "He slept on my parent's floor. Mom made him. She said something about it's bad luck to see each other before the Alpha and Luna Ceremony," Ella said
"Do you treat this like a wedding?" I asked. Thanking about how it was bad luck for the bride and groom to see each other before their wedding.
"No, Mom is just being extra careful. I think she is a little worried with everything that's going on," Ella said
"Oh," I replied.
"Now get up and shower. Mom and Stacie are in the kitchen making breakfast," Ella said.
"Okay," I replied and headed to the bathroom to shower. Once I was finished showering, I brushed my teeth and combed my hair. A hairdresser was coming to do my hair before the ceremonies, so I just let it hang loose down my back. I put on a pair of blue jeans and a light blue T-shirt. I would get dressed later for the ceremony. Once I was done, I went back to my room to see Ella waiting for me.
We started to head downstairs to the kitchen. I was shocked to see my mom sitting at the dining room table with my grandparents.
"Good morning, Honey. I am sure you are excited for today," Grandma Mandy said
"Yes, I am nervous too," I said
"You don't have to be nervous. You are going to make a great Queen," Grandma Mandy said, and I smiled at her.
"Thanks," I said, and I looked at my mom
"Hello, mom," I said
"I am shocked you are talking to me. I thought you never wanted to speak to me again," My mom said, causing me to sigh.
"Can you act like an adult for once, Tina? Sofia is your daughter, for Goddess's Sakes," Grandma Mandy said
"Really, because it looks to me like she is Stacie's daughter. I mean, she treats her better than me," my mom said, and I just shook my head and walked to the kitchen. I didn't have time for my mom's childish attitude today. It was my Luna Queen Ceremony, and that was what mattered.
"One day, you are going to regret the way you act," I heard Grandpa Thomas say before I walked into the kitchen. Stacie and Tammie were busy cooking and talking when we walked inside.
"Good morning," I said as I walked over to them
"Good morning, Sweetie," Tammie said
"You must be so excited for today," Stacie said as she hugged me
"Yes, I am, but I am also nervous," I said.
"That's understandable, but you were born to be the Luna Queen. The Moon Goddess knows what she is doing," Stacie said and all I could do was hope she was right.
Once they were finished cooking we headed into the dining room to eat. Breakfast was awkward. My mom wouldn't stop glaring at Stacie when she would speak to me. Other than that my mom stayed silent. It was obvious she didn't want to be there. I just tried my best to ignore her. There was no way I was going to let her ruin my day. Today was about Ethan and me.
The hair dresser arrived about twenty minutes after we were finished eating. After my hair was finished a woman did my make up and then I went to the bathroom to put my dress on.
"Oh, Goddess, you are beautiful," Tammie said when I walked out with my long Golden dress.
"I agree. You look just like a princess," Stacie added.
"Thanks," I said
"You look very beautiful," Ella said and I smiled at her.
"I guess you look okay. If you ask me you would look better with a shorter and tighter dress that would show your body better," my mom said. I should have known she would be the one to break the moment. I decided to ignore her. I wasn't going to let her get to me.
"Well, it's almost time and we headed downstairs," Stacie said. A few minutes later my dad, walked into my room. He kissed Stacie softly which caused my mom to roll her eyes before he looked at me.
"You look very beautiful, Princess," My dad said. He had a warm smile on his face.
"Thanks, dad," I replied and my mom snorted. She always did that whenever she heard me call him dad.
"Well, we should head to the fighting ring. The ceremony is about to start," Tammie said
"Okay," I replied. I knew it was going to be full of people because every pack would be at Ethan and my crowning. I was so nervous and also worried because I knew my vampire would appear soon after Ethan and I were crowned because I would be at my strongest.
We all walked to the fighting ring and my grandparents took my mom to sit in the audience while Tammie went up in the ring with Eric. I could see Ethan in the ring waiting for me. Just as I expected the ring was full of members of all the different Packs but I tried to focus on Ethan. He was the only one that matter.
"Are you ready?" my dad asked and I looked at him with a smile on my face
"Yes," I replied and we started to walk toward the ring.
