Sofia's Point of View
"Love," Ethan said as he came over to me and hugged me tightly. "Take her to a cell," Ethan said, and the guards went over to where Helena was frozen and dragged her away. Ethan looked at my grandfather, and I was about to tell him that he was on our side, but his words shocked me. "Thanks," Ethan and my grandfather nodded his head. "You don't have to thank me. We are family," He said. I was about to question Ethan, but Tabatha made a moaning sound. She was still alive.
"Tabatha," I said and I stood over her. She was dying, and I couldn't help but think it was because of me. She went against her sister to save me.
"You can heal her," Tali said
Tali is right. It will be harder this time, but you are stronger than you know," Mona added.
"Do what Helena had you do earlier. Close your eyes and feel," Tali said. I did as she said and closed my eyes. put my hand on her chest, and just like the last time, I felt a lot of energy inside of me. I could feel myself healing her. I could feel myself becoming weaker by the second, but I knew I couldn't stop. I had to save Tabatha. She had done so much for me.
I felt a hand on my shoulder, which sent pleasurable sparks all over my body. I knew it was Ethan who was touching me. His touch gave me the strength to keep going. I opened my eyes, hoping it worked. Soon, Tabatha's eyes opened as well.
"You saved me," Tabatha said, and I smiled at her, relieved she was alright.
Ethan helped me up and wrapped his arms around my body. "How are you feeling?" Ethan asked
"Drained," I replied truthfully.
"Let's get you home," Ethan said. He picked me up bridal style, and I didn't complain because my healing Tabatha drained out my energy. It didn't take long for me to fall into a peaceful sleep.
I woke up in Ethan and my bed alone. I looked at the clock on the nightstand to see it was noon. I could hear voices from downstairs. I got out of the bed and made my way down to the family room where Ethan was sitting with all of our family, including my mom and grandfather.
"Love, you are awake," Ethan said
"Yes, so you knew that he was working with us," I asked as I pointed at my grandfather.
"Yes, I knew. I met him the night I went to talk to your mom. He told me he knew what Helena and King Lestat were up to, and he wanted to help us," Ethan said
"And you kept that from me," I said. I didn't know if I was angry or hurt. Most likely both
"I told him not to tell you so you would be shocked when I showed up. It was the only way to make it where King Lestat didn't know."
"Were you in on this too?" I asked my mom. "Yes, I know I made some terrible choices in the past, but there was no way I would let King Lestat hurt you. I know you are upset with me, and you have every right to be, but I really do want to start over, but it is up to you," My mom said
"I will think about it," I said. I wasn't sure if I wanted to have a relationship with her. Not after everything she had done to me.
"That's fair. I will be waiting whenever you want to talk," My mom said
"So, what's going to happen to King Lestat?" I asked
"The Vampire Council are on their way. He will be punished for kidnapping you," Ethan said
"How?" I asked
"He will be put to death, and a new Vampire King will take his place," MY grandfather said.
"How is Tabatha?" I asked
"I am fine," She said as she walked into the room. "Thanks to you."
"I am happy to hear that," I replied with a smile.
"Now that all of that is over, we need to train you. You are one powerful being, and we need to make sure you can control your abilities," Tabatha said
"You also have a very strong vampire. We need to make sure you stay in control. I would be happy to help you with that. I would like to get to know my granddaughter. All yeah, and my name is Damon," My grandfather said
"Thanks, I would like that," I replied. For some reason, I trusted him, even though I didn't know him.
Everyone left, and Ethan came over to me and wrapped his arms around me. "How are you feeling?" Ethan asked
"Great," I replied, and I sighed. "I am just happy all of this is over," I said
"Me too. Though if I were being honest. I am a little jealous," Ethan said
"Why?" I asked
"Because I was supposed to save you, but you ended up saving everyone," Ethan said, and I looked at him.
"I am so proud of you and how strong you are. You have no idea how much I love you," Ethan said
"I love you too," I replied
