Sofia's Point of View
"Okay, class. That is it for today. I will see you tomorrow. Make sure you finish the assignment and bring it with you tomorrow," The teacher said and everyone started to leave.
"Thank the Goddess school is over," Ella said as we walked to her car. I had been riding to and from school with her everyday. After our talk I told Ethan I needed some time to thank. He had asked me to give him a chance but I wasn't sure if I should. I was already in love with him and I was worried that if I gave him a chance he would break my heart.
It had been a week since I had been living with Ella and her family, and I found out that Ethan was my mate. Everything had been weird.
Almost everyone had been so nice to me in the castle and even at school. All the people who acted as if I didn't exist were acting like they wanted to be my friend. Even some of the girls that hung around Jane were being nice to me. They had basically turned on her because she was no longer with Ethan. Ella told me they were only friends with her because they thought she was going to be Ethan's Mate. They even asked if I wanted to go out with them. I didn't want anything to do with those girls. I knew they were fake. They didn't really like me they just wanted to hang around me because I was Ethan's Mate.
I still couldn't believe I was his Mate. I was only a human. I wasn't strong like a werewolf. I couldn't defend myself. Ethan and I hadn't spoken since the night he told me I was his mate. I still couldn't believe he was telling me the truth about being in love with me and not really liking Jane. They were together since Freshman year. Even if he was telling the truth it hurt that he picked to be with her over me. it meant that he felt she was the better choice, which to be honest, she was. She was a werewolf, the Beta's daughter. They would be perfect together. I knew most of the pack thought they would be mates. I overheard alot of the pack saying they were shocked that she wasn't his mate. I was sure everyone was upset I was his mate, even though they acted like they liked me.
"Let's stop and get some pizza before we head home. I am starving," Ella said
"Okay," I replied and Ella started the car and left the school.
The pizza place was full. Alot of students from school were there. Ethan was sitting at a table with a group of his friends eating pizza. I was upset when I saw Mandy sitting beside him. They were laughing about something and she had her hand on his arm. She was sitting closer too close to him. I didn't like how sad it made me feel to see them together.
He looked over at me as soon as Ella and I sat in a booth and I quickly looked away. "Hey Sof," Ethan said
"Hey," I replied and Ethan shocked me by sitting beside me in the booth
"I am going to go and order the pizza," Ella said. I wanted to tell her not to leave me with him but she got up before I could
"I didn't know you were coming. I am happy you are here," Ethan said
"I can't tell," I replied
"What does that mean?" Ethan asked and I shrugged my shoulders.
"You seem to have been having fun over there with Mandy," I replied
"Wait. Are you upset that Mandy was sitting next to me," Ethan asked
"Why would I be upset about that?" I asked. Honesty, I was upset that he let another girl touch him.
"There is nothing going on between Mandy and me," Ethan said.
"Okay," I replied.
"I am serious, Sof. I only want to be with you," Ethan said and I stayed silent. Ethan sighed before speaking again. "I was hoping we could go out to dinner tonight. That way we could talk," Ethan said
"I can't. I told your mom I would go with her to the orphanage," I replied. I had been spending a lot of time with Ethan's mom. I went with her to some of the packs houses, the pack hospital, the Pack daycare, and now I was going with her to the orphanage. I didn't mind. In fact, I enjoyed it helping others, especially hanging with the kids.
"Oh. How about this weekend?" Ethan asked
"Okay," I replid
"I don't know, Ethan," I said
"Just please think about it, Sof?" Ethan said
"Okay, I will think about it," I replied
"Thanks," Ethan said and then he started looking into space. I knew he was mind linking with somone. Ella told me that werewolves could talk to others from their pack through their mind. After about a minute Ethan looked at me. "I have to go. My father needs to speak to me," Ethan said
"Okay," I replied and Ethan got up to leave. Before he left he looked at me.
"Please think about it," Ethan said
"I will," I replied and Ethan left.
