Don's Point of View
"Are you upset that I want to come with you to see Tina?" Stacie asked me. We were in our suite, which we would be staying in while staying in the Eclipse Pack. I walked over to Stacie and wrapped my arms around her.
"Of course, I am not mad at you for wanting to come with me. You are my mate and the love of my life. You have every right to be there while I talk to Tina. Why would you think that?" I asked
"I can feel that you are upset about something, and I thought some of it had to do with my wanting to go with you tonight," Stacie replied.
"I could never be mad at you, My Love. I am upset at Tina. I still can't believe she has been mistreating Sofia. I feel like part of it is my fault. I should have been there for Sofia. I missed out on her childhood. I don't get why Tina would keep her from us just to mistreat her," I said
"I don't know why Tina did the things she did, but you can't blame yourself. We had no idea that Tina was pregnant with Sofia. If we had known, we would have been there for Sofia. We can't change the past, but we can be in her life now. You know I have always wanted a daughter, and I finally have one. I plan on making the best of it and making up for lost time. I am so happy that Sofia agreed to go to lunch with me tomorrow. I honestly wanted it to just be the two of us but then Lacy said she wanted to go. Do you think she would be upset if I asked her not to come? I don't want to hurt Lacy's feelings," Stacie asked.
"I am sure she would understand. Just let her know that you want to spend some time alone with Sofia to get to know her," I said
"Okay, I will do that. I am so excited," Stacie said happily, causing me to smile.
"You are amazing, My Love. I don't deserve you," I said, and I connected my lips to hers. We kissed passionately for a moment before I pulled away from her. "We should get going. I am sure everyone is waiting for us," I said, and we headed out of the room.
"This is where you were living with your mother?" My mom asked with a frown. We had ended up taking one of Eric's limos to Tina's apartment complex
"Yes," Sofia replied. I couldn't help but frown when I saw the apartment complex. There were women standing on the corner, and it was easy to tell they were into prostitution. Men were standing outside of the apartment complex, obviously selling drugs.
Eric, Tammie, Ethan, Sofia, Stacie, My parent, and I got out of the limo. I instinctively wrapped my arms around Stacie protectively as we walked up to the apartment building's entrance. I was happy to see that Ethan did the same with Sofia. It made me happy knowing that he wanted to make sure Sofia was safe.
There were two drunken men sitting on the steps of the apartment complex. They looked like they wanted to say something to Sofia but were too afraid to because Ethan was by her side.
"Who the fuck is knocking on my door at this time of night?" I heard Tina say before she opened the door. Her facial expression went from angry to shocked when she saw who was at her door.
"Hello, Tina. Aren't you going to say hi to your me and your mother? It has been long since we have seen you" My dad asked
"Hello. What are you doing here?" Tina asked
"We came to see you. Aren't you going to invite us in," My mom asked
"Sure. come in," Tina said and we walked into the house.
"I don't want her in my house," Tina said as she looked at Stacie.
"Well, I am afraid you don't have a choice," My mom said. Tina sighed but didn't argue. She knew she would never win an argument against our mom. We all went into the small living room that had bottles of alcohol and beer everywhere.
"Tina sat on the couch and my parents sat beside her. Tammie, Stacie, and Sofia sat on the couch across from her while Eric, Ethan, and I grabbed chairs to sit in.
"I am sorry my place isn't what you are used to," Tina said
"Why? Why would you keep are granddaughter away from us? Why would you stay away from us?" My mom asked with tears in her eyes. I knew my mom wasn't going to be able to stay silent for long.
