Ethan's Point of View
"So, what's going on with you and my sister? It seems like she is upset with you," Jason asked as we walked to the Pack Jail.
"Today in history class, King Lestat asked her to work after school with him. I told him that wasn't going to happen. She is upset because she feels I don't trust her," I said
"I heard about what happened in history and how he kept staring at her and flirting with her," Nick said
"You did?" I asked
"Yeah, everyone was talking about it," Nick replied
"Did you talk to her and let her know why you didn't want her working with him?" Jason asked
"Yeah, I told her that he liked her, and she kept saying that I should trust her. I do trust her. It's him I don't trust. I have been wondering why he wanted to come here in the first place. He has never wanted to stay on our territory, so why would he want vampires to go to school with us? It's doesn't seem right," I said
"Maybe he wants us to learn to get along together," Nick said
"I doubt that. I think he has his eyes on Sof. I am worried he has something planned. I will tell you one thing. I won't let him do anything to her," I said
"I agree with you. Something does seem off," Jason said
"I have already told some of the warriors that go to school with us to watch him," I said
"I think that is a good idea. Nick and I will watch him as well. We will make sure he doesn't get close to Sof," Jason said, and Nick nodded his head, letting me know he agreed with Jason.
"Thanks," I replied. My father and Don were talking outside of Linda's cell door when we arrived at the Pack Jail. "Hey, have you talked to her yet?" I asked
"No, we just got here. We were waiting for you to get here because I knew you would want to hear what she had to say," My dad replied
"Do you think she will talk?" Nick asked
"I am sure she will, especially with all the wolfbane in her system. Plus, whatever potion the witch gave her should have worn off by now," My dad said. We all walked into Linda's cell. She was chained to her bed and looked terrible. I felt kind of bad for her but I knew she deserved it since she wouldn't tell us everything on her own.
"Hello, Linda," My dad said
"Leave me alone. I told you I will not tell you anything," Linda gasped out. I could tell she had no energy because of the wolfsbane that was in her system
"I am sorry I had to do this Linda. We have known each other for a very long time but you gave me no choice. Now tell me where Jane is and the witch that is working with you," My dad asked. Linda tried to fight the Alpha Command but she couldn't.
"Vera," Linda said
"Vera, the leader of the Dark Clan Coven," My dad asked
"Yes, she is the one that has been helping Jane and me. She got her out of the cell and Jane is staying there now," Linda said
"So you admit that Jane is the one that was behind Sofia almost getting kill by Chace and destroying our room," I asked
"Yes," Linda said.
"Did Ryan or Kane have anything to do with it?" My dad asked
"No, they had no idea," Linda replied
"How about anyone in the Pack? Did they know what you were doing?" My dad asked
"Warrior Larry Mate Tess new about it as well as two of the warriors," Linda said
"Which ones?" MY dad asked and Linda told him.
Jason, Nick, Don, my dad and I walked out of her cell after we got all the information we needed.
"So the Vera is involved. I should have known. She is one of the strongest evil witches in our realm," My dad said
"We have to get Jane before she figures out something is wrong," I said
"We can't just go to the coven and take her. We have to get ahold of the witches council. I will call the werewolf council and let them know what's going on," My dad said. I was worried that Jane would find out and run. I couldn't let that happen. Jane was going to pay for what she did.
When we got back to the Packhouse I saw Ryan talking to some of our friends. He had been avoiding me since everything started with Jane. "Ryan," I said as I walked up to him. I could see the frown on his face when he saw me
"Hey, we need to talk," I said and we walked away from everyone to talk in private.
"So what would you like to talk about?" Ryan asked
"I wanted to make sure we are good, man. I know a lot has happened and you seem upset," Ryan said
"To be honest. I am upset. My sister is on the run, my mom is locked up and my dad's a mess. I don't know how to feel about all of this," Ryan said
"I know it's a lot but we have been friends since we were pups. You are supposed to be my beta," I said and Ryan laughed
"I don't know if that would work. Me being your Beta and all. Not after everything that happened with my family," Ryan said
"Don't let what Jane and your mom did destroy our friendship. You were meant to be beta," I said
"You are still trying to only blame Jane. It's not just Jane's fault. You are to blame as well. If you didn't lead her on and make her think she had a chance with you none of this would have happened. My family would still be here. You knew you didn't like my sister. I told you it was a bad idea to get with her but you didn't listen to me. Now looked at what happened," Ryan said
"So what are you saying?" I asked
"I am done talking about this," Ryan said and he walked away. I decided to let him go and calm down. Hopefully this wouldn't ruin our relationship.
