"You have to be lying. I can't believe you would do that," I laughed. Jason and Nick had been telling me stories about when they were little. I learned that Nick was always getting into something. He liked to prank people.
"He is not lying. He really did put blue dye in the pull. Dad was furious. All the neighborhood Alphas, their Lunas, Betas, and some of their warriors were visiting to discuss the rogue problem that was happening back then. Dad decided to barbeque and some got in the pull. They were blue for almost three days," Jason said
"I got grounded for a month. Mom and dad scolded me, telling me I needed to be more responsible but I didn't know he was calling a surprise meeting. He should have told me and I wouldn't;'t have but the dye in the pull," Nick said and Jason and I laughed
"What I don't understand is why they got in the pull in the first place. I wouldn't get in a pull with blue water," I said.
"Well, the water didn't look blue. I got the dye from one of my best friend Cindy," Nick said
"She is more than just your best friend and you know it," Jason said and Nick glared at him for a moment before he continued.
"She is from our pack. Her mom is a witch and her dad is a werewolf. She made me the potion. The water was still clear," Nick said
"And he is in love with her. I am sure they are going to be mates," Jason said
"We don't know that until I turn eighteen," Nick said
"I could put money on it," Jason said and then he looked at me. "He loves Cindy and he always has. He spend most of his time with her," Jason said and I looked at Nick.
"I am not going to lie I have been in love with Cindy since we were pups," Nick said
"And she is in love with you," Jason said
"We don't know that for sure," Nick said and Jason laughed
"Everyone knows it. It seems that Cindy and You are the only ones that don't see it. They are madly in love with each other," Jason said.
I was about to say something but then I saw Mr. King walking toward us with a smile on his face as he watched me. Jason and Nick noticed I was looking at something and they turned their head to see what I was looking at.
"What the fuck is he doing here?" Nick growled.
"Hello, Ms. Jones. How are you doing today?" Mr. King asked
"Hello, Mr. King. I am doing okay," I replied
"Hello," He said to Jason and Nick. Nick was glaring at him while Jason had a blank face making it hard to know what he was thinking.
"Hello, King Lestat," Jason said
"What is he doing here?" Nick asked rudely
"I am doing what everyone else is doing here. I came for dinner," Mr. King said and then he looked at me. "I saw you here and wanted to ask if you have thought more about helping me after school. I know your mate didn't like the idea but I wanted to know what you thought about it. The choice should be yours," Mr. King said
"Yeah, I have thought about it and I am sorry but I have to refuse. I don't think it would be a good idea," I said
"Okay, as long as you are the one making the choice. I don't want you making that choice because of how you mate feels. You should make your choices by how you feel," Mr. King said
"I believe it would be best if I decline your offer," I said truthfully.
"Well, okay then. If that is what you want," Mr. King said
"There you are King Lestat. I was looking for you," A beautiful woman said with long blond hair and hazel eyes.
"I was just talking to some of my students," Mr. King said and then he looked at me. "We are going to go to our table. I will see you tomorrow at school," Mr. King said
"Okay, Bye," I said and King Lestat and his date walked away.
"You made the right decision not working with the vampire king. You need to watch out for him," Jason said once we were in the Limo.
"What do you mean?" I asked
"He likes you and I don't mean as friends," Nick said
"That is the same thing Ethan said. I don't understand why you think that. I think he wants to work with me because of how good I do at school," I said
"Trust me that is not the reason. We can tell," Jason said
