Ethan's Point of View
"I am so happy that you are giving me a chance, Sofia," Sof's mom said while we sat at the dining room table eating our food. Sof smiled back at her. I just sat there and listened to them talk.
Once dinner was over, we walked her out of the castle. On our way to the entrance, we saw my parents, Don and Stacie. They looked at us, and I could tell they were shocked to see Sof's mom.
"Tina, I am shocked to see you here," Don said as he looked at Tina, Sof, and then me.
"Yeah, well, I came here and apologized to Sofia for the way I treated her, and she agreed to give me a second chance to be the mom she deserves," Tina said, and Don looked at me. All I could do was frown. Don and I both knew it would most likely not end the way Sof wanted it to. I was sure Tina would mess up and Sof would be hurt in the end which I didn't.
"Oh," Don said
"Well, I should get going. It is getting late after all," Tina said and then she looked at Sof. "I will call you tomorrow. Hopefully, we could have lunch or dinner sometime this week," Tina said
"That sounds like a good idea," Sof said and they hugged before Tina left.
"So, she came here to ask for a second chance?" Don asked
"Yeah and I told her I would give her a second chance," Sof said
"Do you think it is a good idea?" Don asked
"Yeah, she seemed to mean it, and if she messes up, that will be it," Sof replied. Don looked like he wanted to say something else but Stacie spoke first.
"I am happy for you, Sweetheart. Hopefully, everything goes the way you want it to," Stacie said and Sof smiled
"Thanks, Stacie."
"So what happened with the Witches Council?" Sof asked as we were getting ready to go to bed
"They are going to let us go into Vera's Coven to get Jane and Vera. We are supposed to be leaving early tomorrow morning. We want to get there before Jane or Vera finds out we are on our way," I said
"Okay. I am going with you," Sof said
"No you are not," I said
"Why," Sof asked
"It is going to be too dangerous. There are going to be a lot of powerful evil witches there and I wouldn't be able to live with myself if something happened to you," I said and Sof sighed
"Okay, I understand. I will stay here," Sof said and I pulled her to me and kissed her lips softly
"Thanks, My Love."
Sof's Point of View
"Are you okay?" Ella asked worriedly. It was lunch time, and we were sitting outside under a tree. Ethan, Eric, Don, Nick, and Jason had left early in the morning to go to Vera's Coven to get Jane. I felt drained and I knew it was because Ethan had to leave. Our mate bond was getting stronger, and it was getting harder to be away from him, even for a short period of time. I couldn't wait for him to come back home.
"I am fine. I am just tired," I replied
"Are you sure? I mean no offense, but you look like shit," Lacy said, and Ella glared at her. "What I am just being honest," Lacy said
"Do you want to go home and get some rest?" Ella asked
"No, I will be fine," I replied.
"Are you sure?" Ella asked, and I nodded. "Okay but if you change your mind let me know," Ella said
"I will," I replied. I made it through the rest of the school day, and then Ella, Lacy, and I went home together.
"Sof," I heard Stacie call when I walked into the castle. I turned around to see her walking over to where I was. "Hey, how was school," Stacie asked
"It was fine," I replied.
"I was wondering if you would like to go shopping for your birthday dress for your party. Tammie said she would come to. It would give us all a chance to do something instead of thinking about our mates," Stacie said. I could tell she was affected by not being around my dad and by how tired she looked.
"Okay, that sounds like a good idea. I am going to go to my room and change," I said and she smiled
"Great. You girls could come if you would like," Stacie said, and Ella and Lacy agreed. We all went to our rooms to change. Once I was changed, I headed back downstairs and was shocked to see my mom talking to Tammie and Stacie.
"Mom, what are you doing here?" I asked
"I was wondering if you would like to hang out with me," My mom replied
"Actually, I was about to go dress shopping with Tammie and Stacie but you could come with us," I said
"Sure, I would love to. If it is okay with you two," My mom said looking at Tammie and Stacie. I didn't miss the way they both frowned when I invited my mom.
"Sure, you can come. Since Sof wants you to, right Tammie," Stacie said
"Right," Tammie replied. I could tell they didn't want her to come and I could only hope that everything went smoothly.
