My face was practically pressed against it. My eyes nearly bugged out of my head.
I was completely floored. I'd thought my husband was unbeatable, but apparently there was always room for improvement down there!
I ducked my head fast, but that thing filled my entire field of vision like it owned the place. The musky scent of pure masculinity hit me like a truck.
"You... back up..."
Daniel shuffled awkwardly, but let's be real - the bathroom was the size of a postage stamp. Where exactly was he supposed to go?
"My brother asked me to crash here for a few days. He didn't tell you?"
Then it clicked - my husband had mumbled something about this before his business trip. Totally slipped my mind.
Daniel scratched his head with one hand while the other made a pathetic attempt at modesty. My brain short-circuited when I heard faint rustling outside.
"Your brother's... home?"
"Yeah, he's in the study sorting files."
What the actual—?
I nearly jumped out of my skin. If he found me buck naked with his brother like this, my marriage would be toast.
I was scrambling to get up when footsteps approached. "Daniel, you seen that file I was working on?"
My heart lodged in my throat. Through the foggy glass, I could make out my husband's tall frame.
Clamping a hand over my mouth, I frantically pushed at Daniel, silently begging him to send my husband away.
In my panic, I reached out blindly—and accidentally grabbed the one thing I shouldn't have.
Daniel jerked like he'd been electrocuted, giving me a look that screamed "Really?!" before calling out, "Pretty sure it's in the study, bro."
As footsteps retreated, Daniel yanked me up. "Sophia, you should probably bounce."
Yes. Bounce. I nodded like one of those bobblehead dolls.
I snatched a towel, wrapped it around myself, and booked it to the bedroom, diving under the covers. Those few steps felt like running a marathon with my heart trying to punch through my ribs.
Before I could catch my breath, my husband walked in. "Babe, when'd you get home?"
My face burned like I'd been caught with my hand in the cookie jar.
"Just—just got back. Needed to crash for a bit."
He pecked my cheek. "You work too hard. Gotta head back to the office—probably pulling an all-nighter."
Wait, what? The second I heard "all-nighter," heat pooled low in my belly. My thighs rubbed together under the sheets, fingers tracing lazy circles just below my navel.
"Can't you be late? I... really need you right now~"
I slid one bare leg out, letting my foot trail up his thigh. My toes made quick work of his belt, tugging it downward with practiced ease.
