Adrian's fingers danced across the piano keys with reckless abandon, the music swelling as he leaned closer. My knees buckled, and I tumbled helplessly into his waiting arms.
His whisper curled around me, warm and wicked against my ear. "Tell me, Chloe—are you even listening to the music?"
The sharp bite of his teeth sent lightning down my spine. Pleasure and pain tangled together, my breath coming in shallow gasps. For one dizzying moment, the world dissolved into white. I was weightless, untethered—floating.
Then silence. The music faded. Even the wind held its breath.
Only the quiet drip, drip, drip of water broke the stillness.
I slumped against Adrian's chest, eyes shut, struggling to steady my racing heart.
"Good," he murmured, satisfaction lacing his voice. "Now that we're warmed up... the real lesson begins."
Before I could protest, his arms hooked under me, lifting me like I weighed nothing. The grand piano loomed ahead, its polished surface gleaming under the dim glow.
Realization hit—and I squirmed weakly in his grip. Useless.
The cold, smooth wood pressed against my bare skin as he settled me onto it. A shiver raced through me, but Adrian's hands anchored me in place, unyielding.
Then he stepped between my thighs.
Somehow, his last restraint was already gone.
Every nerve still hummed from before, oversensitive, sparking anew at the slightest touch. His skin against mine was fire and friction, and I burned with it.
"Let's get to know the piano properly," he murmured. "Relax."
I should have said no.
But my body was liquid, my thoughts scattered. The heat between us refused to fade.
His hands coaxed my knees apart.
A slow, deliberate push—
Knock, knock, knock!
The sharp rap at the door shattered the moment like glass.
