"Honey, I've been so happy these past three days. You've been so good to me."
Serena walked back to the villa arm-in-arm with Sebastian, smiling so widely her eyes nearly disappeared.
Behind them, several bodyguards carried the luxury goods she'd bought while shopping, and beside her was the man she'd fallen madly in love with at first sight.
From the moment she'd gotten her marriage certificate with Sebastian, Serena felt her life was complete—except for one thing.
Being confined to the villa.
But now, even that regret was gone.
Serena believed she was the happiest woman in the world.
Sebastian said nothing, just wore a faint smile.
He led Serena to the second-floor terrace and spoke softly.
"I'm good to you, but what about you?"
Serena immediately pressed herself against his chest like a clinging bird, declaring her love: "Of course I'm good to you too. I love you, honey. I'll love you forever. I love you more every single day!"
She stood on her tiptoes and kissed his lips.
Sebastian wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her back.
He was already skilled at kissing, but this kiss was especially long—as if it were their last.
Only when Serena was nearly breathless, her face flushed red, did he release her.
His fingers gently traced her swollen lips.
"Since you love me so much, would you do anything for me?"
"Of course."
Serena was practically melting.
"We could go do it right now... I can do any position you want, just like every time before, as long as you like it."
"That's not what I meant."
Serena paused slightly. She looked up at Sebastian's expression and suddenly thought of a possibility that filled her with wild joy.
Her voice trembling, she asked tentatively: "Honey, do you think Miss Hart went too far? Do you want to teach her a lesson but can't bear to do it yourself, so you want me to handle it again?"
"I can do it. You know I used to be timid, but for you, I dared to chop off her hand. Now, whatever you want me to do to her, I'm still willing to do it for you!"
Serena knew very well that Sebastian was incredibly powerful. He only seemed gentle and reasonable when he liked someone.
But essentially, he was cruel and ruthless.
People who crossed him usually met terrible ends.
If he didn't like Aveline anymore, or even despised her...
Serena was beside herself with excitement. She was so glad she'd pretended to be tortured in the nightclub and framed Aveline for everything.
She'd been worried that Aveline's injuries might cause trouble when Sebastian discovered them.
But if Sebastian no longer wanted her, then it wouldn't matter if that woman died.
Once Aveline was dead, he would belong to her completely!
"It does have to do with Aveline."
Sebastian's tone suddenly softened.
But this tenderness confused Serena.
If he no longer liked her, why was he still calling her by her pet name?
Unless...
"Aveline is such a kind person, yet she had you kidnapped and tortured. It seems that as long as you're around, the wound in her heart will never fully heal."
Serena's heart sank bit by bit: "Honey, what are you trying to say..."
"I want you to go with me right now to get a divorce and disappear from my sight forever."
"What?"
Serena stared at him in disbelief. She was so shocked she staggered backward.
But this time, Sebastian—who had always been so caring toward her—didn't catch her.
Instead, he let her fall to the ground.
"I don't want a divorce. Honey, you said marrying you was what I deserved..."
