"Save your guesses. I'll show you how this ends," Sienna sneered. Without another word, she lashed out with a swift kick, sending Jocelyn flying across the room.
Jocelyn shrieked but before she even had the chance to tumble down the stairs, Sienna's merciless kick sent her flying through the air.
With a heavy thud, Jocelyn hit the floor like a sack of potatoes, collapsing in a limp heap.
Sienna barely took a few steps. 'The fall isn't far enough to kill or cripple her just enough to make her spit some blood. What a pity,' she thought coldly.
Sienna stood imperiously tall, her icy, aloof gaze sweeping disdainfully down at Jocelyn sprawled on the ground beneath her.
"Jocelyn?" Three voices cried out at once as Linda burst into the room, pushing Aiden in his wheelchair.
They helped Jocelyn up, but she was coughing up blood, crimson streaks dripping from her nose. The pain was excruciating. Every breath felt like shards of glass tearing through her chest.
Jocelyn, holding back tears, looked at her parents. "Mom, Dad, it was Sienna. I just wanted to explain everything to her, but she—"
Aiden's fury burned through him as he clenched his fists. His body throbbed with lingering pain. His dislocated bones hadn't fully healed, only to witness this scene.
"Sienna, what the hell are you doing? Trying to cripple her? She's your sister. How could you be so vicious?" Aiden snapped.
Linda's eyes burned with fury as she hissed at Sienna, "If Jocelyn comes to any harm, I swear to God you'll pay for this."
Jocelyn still clung tightly to Amber's hand, her voice gentle and wounded as she said, "Amber, please don't blame Sienna. This is all my fault.
"I never should have intruded into your family. Please, keep your sisterly bond strong. Don't let my presence come between you all, okay?"
Tears welled up in Amber's eyes as she wiped them away, her heart aching. Her voice trembled as she called out, "Jocelyn?"
Amber whirled around to confront Sienna, her voice shaking with fury. "How could you do this? You're absolutely heartless. You monster."
A dull ache throbbed in Sienna's chest, accompanied by a faint sense of suffocation. She offered no explanation.
Sienna sneered and snapped, "Are you done? Then get the hell out."
Sienna's utter lack of remorse only made Aiden's face burn crimson with rage.
Linda wailed hysterically, "Honey, I can't go on living. I just can't. How can I face the world when my daughter is being bullied like this? I can't even protect my girl."
Aiden bellowed, "Sienna, get down here and apologize this instant."
Sienna descended the stairs step by step, then suddenly lashed out with a vicious kick to Jocelyn's shin.
"Ah, Sienna, you bitch," Jocelyn gasped in pain as she jerked upright, her face contorted with agony and rage.
"Sienna. What the hell are you trying to do? Must you tear this family apart and turn our home upside down?" Boiling with rage, Aiden felt completely disregarded.
"Dad, do you want me to apologize?" Sienna pinned him with a glacial stare.
Aiden gnashed his teeth, nearly intimidated once more by that damn girl's overwhelming presence. He snapped, "Yes, Sienna. Why did you hit her?"
Sienna sneered, "She was begging for a beating, shoving herself in my face. Shouldn't I do her the honor? Right, Jocelyn Turner?"
Linda shot back angrily, "My daughter's name is Jocelyn Hart."
"Not for much longer." Sienna's words, light as air, crashed over Aiden, Linda, and Jocelyn like a tidal wave.
Aiden roared, "Sienna, what the hell do you want from us? Jocelyn is also my daughter."
Sienna snapped back mercilessly, "What's that to me?"
Aiden was momentarily speechless. After a pause, he snapped, "I'm your father. I have every right to have a say over you."
"Like I said, you don't have to be my father." Sienna's eyes darkened, sharp as blades.
Aiden's eyes bulged wide, staring at her in utter disbelief.
Jocelyn stared in disbelief. This outcome was worlds apart from what she had imagined. Surprisingly, Aiden was helpless against Sienna.
Sienna said, "Aiden, here's your chance to redeem yourself for your insolence. Change her surname back to Turner and publicly declare she's no longer tied to the Hart family."
Linda shrieked hysterically, "How dare you, Sienna? Who the hell do you think you are, ordering your father around? You should be drowned for your sins, you shameless bitch. You deserve to die. Ah—"
Before Linda could finish her tirade, Elisa suddenly struck her across the face. "How dare you insult Miss Sienna," she snapped.
Aiden was seething with rage. This wasn't just anger, but a direct challenge to his authority and dignity. As a father, being ordered around like a servant by his daughter was a humiliation he could hardly bear.
If word got out, Aiden wasn't supposed to maintain his dignity.
Aiden snarled, "What if I refuse? Sienna, you've truly gone rogue. How dare you treat the parents who raised you with such heartless cruelty?"
"You should know better than to try emotional blackmail is the most foolish thing you could do," Sienna said coldly. "Guards, my father's clearly lost his mind.
"He's given the Hart name to someone else's daughter and treats his own flesh and blood like a stranger. I suspect someone's been manipulating him. Take him to a psychiatric facility for evaluation."
"How dare you?" Aiden choked out between violent coughs, his face contorted with rage.
Before Aiden could even react, the bodyguards behind him grabbed his arms.
Aiden roared, his face purple with rage, "Sienna, how dare you? I'm your father, yet you'd actually send me to a psychiatric facility? May you be struck down by God."
Sienna's gaze was glacial as she sneered, "Forgotten already, Dad? Wasn't it you who tried to have your daughter committed to a psychiatric facility last time? Now it's your turn. What's the difference? Hurry up. The psychiatric facility will open soon."
"At once, Miss Sienna," one of the guards said.
Aiden continued cursing violently, his eyes bulging in stunned disbelief as he was dragged away to the car, thrashing in futile resistance.
Lana approached with a stack of documents. "Miss Enna, Jocelyn Hart has legally reverted to Jocelyn Turner. From now on, she is no longer affiliated with the Hart family. The official announcement has already been published."
Sienna slapped a stack of legal documents down in front of Jocelyn and Linda, her crimson lips parting with sinister allure.
"Listen carefully. Whether you're a Hart or a Turner has never been your choice to make. Is that clear?" Sienna said.
Sienna loomed before them like an unscalable peak, while they were just two ants, posing no threat, utterly defenseless, and ready to be crushed at any moment.
Jocelyn stared in disbelief at the documents in her trembling hands, Jocelyn Turner. Her pupils dilated violently, fists clenched tight, her composure utterly shattered.
"Sienna, you vicious bitch. What gives you the right to treat me like this? Who the hell do you think you are?" Jocelyn snapped.
Everything Jocelyn took pride in shattered to pieces in that instant. She had been certain Sienna would hold back because of Aiden and that she could manipulate his paternal feelings to get Sienna thrown out of the Hart residence.
But Jocelyn never imagined that Aiden would be utterly powerless before Sienna, reduced to nothing, then hauled off to a psychiatric facility.
'No. I refuse to accept this. I just can't,' she wondered.
Jocelyn glared at Sienna and snapped, "Sienna, how dare you be so brazen? Aren't you afraid I'll expose you and turn you into an unfilial daughter everyone despises and wants nothing to do with?"
