However, Tommy's words didn't make Bella lose interest in Grayson.
"Hi! I'm Bella. What's your name?" Grayson was the best-looking one she had ever met.
Grayson looked at the pretty and adorable girl in front of him and introduced himself. "I'm Grayson."
"Grayson? That's such a nice name!" Bella exaggerated her reaction. "Can I call you Sonny?"
"Sure." Grayson found himself liking this charming little girl. At least, Bella was more likable than Serena. At least Bella sweetly called him Sonny, unlike Serena, who acted like he didn't exist. She only ever called him Grayson.
Grayson thought, 'Serena, that rude brat.'
For some reason, hearing Bella call him "Sonny" made Grayson think of Rena.
"By the way, didn't you say you know Rena?" Grayson asked Tommy.
"Rena?" Bella's expression darkened when she realized her handsome big brother also knew Rena. "Sonny, you know Rena too?"
"Yeah, I do."
"What's your relationship with her?" Bella pressed.
"She's my—" Grayson hesitated when he was about to say "sister."
Serena didn't even call him "brother" anymore. Since she refused to acknowledge him as her brother, he wouldn't acknowledge her as his sister either.
"We just went to the same school before. She used to cling to me all the time—so annoying." Grayson deliberately said that while glancing around. He didn't want Rena to hear those words.
Bella's eyes lit up again when she heard that. She thought, 'So even the handsome boy doesn't like Rena. That's a relief!'
Seeing the Serena he liked getting closer to Grayson, Tommy quickly changed the subject to assert himself. "What about Rena?"
As he spoke, he clenched his fists, ready for action.
Bella finally remembered what she was supposed to do and pointed toward the sunroom. "She's inside."
"Alright." With that, Tommy charged straight in.
"What is Tommy doing in there?" Grayson asked.
The way Tommy had looked just now made him uneasy.
Bella shook her head, her face full of innocence. "I don't know, maybe he's looking for Rena?"
Inside the sunroom, Serena was still lost in her singing. After finishing a children's song, she waited for Bella's applause, only to realize that Bella was no longer there.
"Huh? Where's Bella?" Serena walked out from the sea of flowers, searching for Bella.
Instead of finding Bella, she bumped into a much taller boy.
"Are you blind? Watch where you're going!" Tommy scolded before shoving Serena aside.
The boy's strength was overwhelming. Serena had no time to steady herself and fell straight onto her backside.
"Ah!" she cried out, looking up at the boy who had pushed her. "Why did you push me?"
Tommy froze when he saw Serena. He hadn't expected the kid who bullied Bella to be this small. But then he recalled Bella's tearful complaints.
He thought, 'If she's already bullying others at this age, imagine what she'll do when she gets older. No way. I have to teach her a lesson for Bella today.'
Tommy made up his mind, his eyes turning fierce. "You weren't looking where you were going and stepped on my foot. Shouldn't I push you?"
Serena didn't remember stepping on his foot, but since he said so, maybe she really had.
She got up and patted the dust off her dress. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to."
"'Sorry' is enough? My foot hurts. What do you think should be done about that?" Tommy smirked and stepped closer.
Serena grew frightened. She wanted to leave, but Tommy blocked her path, leaving her no way out.
"Then, what do you think we should do? My mom knows how to heal people. I can take you to her."
"No way. You hurt my foot, so I have to make you feel pain too." Tommy clenched his fists as he spoke.
Serena, thinking he wanted to step on her foot in return, stuck out her small foot.
She hesitated, looking at her clean little shoes. But there was no choice—after all, she had stepped on his foot first.
"Then you can step on mine too." Serena thought this would make things fair.
Tommy's face twisted with cruelty, making him look even more menacing. "Your stinky foot? No way."
"My foot isn't—" Before Serena could finish, Tommy punched her in the stomach.
Her face instantly turned pale as she clutched her belly and crouched down.
"Quit faking! I didn't even hit you that hard. Get up, you little brat!" Tommy's eyes flicked to the entrance, where Bella had just walked in.
Wanting to impress Bella, he didn't give Serena a chance to react. He grabbed her pretty hair and yanked her forward.
Pain shot through Serena's scalp as her body tilted forward, finally collapsing onto the ground.
Tommy wasted no time. He straddled her back and started pounding his small fists against her.
One punch after another landed heavily on Serena's back and head.
"This is for bullying others! You little brat! This is for bullying Bella!" The more Tommy hit, the more excited he became. His fists didn't stop.
Serena's cries only seemed to fuel him further.
"Ah! I'm not a bad kid! Stop hitting me!" Serena didn't understand why this boy was attacking her. She tried to struggle but couldn't break free.
Just then, she saw Bella and tearfully pleaded, "Bella, help me! Bella!"
But Bella just stood there, watching as Tommy bullied Serena without moving a muscle.
"Who's crying?" Grayson, who had followed Bella inside, immediately heard the familiar sobs as he got closer.
"Sonny, don't be scared. That's just a bad kid. Tommy is teaching her a lesson," Bella said.
"A bad kid?" Grayson was puzzled. But he clearly recognized Rena's voice.
Walking past Bella, he stepped forward—only to see Serena pinned under Tommy. "Rena!"
