Paisley's words made Zim and Keeley uneasy.
"Get justice? It's just kids fighting. Worst case, we pay the medical bills, what's the big deal?" Keeley shouted.
"There has to be justice." Dominick's cold voice interjected. "My two children were bullied in the Godard family, there needs to be an explanation."
Keeley's face turned pale, especially when she realized she had just insulted Paisley's daughter. But she never thought that the child was also Dominick's.
"But no matter what, we can't hurt a child. Let him go first," Zim said, his gaze locked on Tommy, fearing he'd be hurt.
Just as he was about to step forward, Max stepped in front of him.
"Max, what are you doing? Move out of the way!" said Zim.
Max remained silent, his face cold as he stared at Zim, blocking him from getting any closer.
"Rena, tell Mom what's going on," Paisley asked Serena, who was calming down, confirming the children's injuries.
"Bella said she wanted to play with me. But while we were playing, he suddenly appeared and hit me." Serena pointed at Tommy, still being held by Linna. "He hit me really hard, then Grayson came to help me and started fighting with him."
Serena spoke in fragments, but Paisley understood. She first glanced at Florence. Startled, Florence quickly hugged Bella.
Paisley shifted her gaze to Tommy, still hanging upside down, glaring fiercely. "Tell me, why did you hit my daughter?"
Tommy glared at Serena, "She's a bad kid. She deserves to be hit!"
"Linna," Paisley ordered.
Linna obeyed, slapping Tommy's bottom hard. The slap made Tommy scream, "Ah! It hurts! It hurts so much!"
"Tommy!" Zim shouted desperately, but Max blocked his way.
"Tell me, why?" Linna barked, frightening Tommy into shuddering.
But he still stubbornly repeated, "She's a bad kid! I'm doing what's right! Why are you hitting me?"
Without waiting for Paisley's command, Linna slapped Tommy's bottom again, even harder.
Tommy's face looked like it might split open from the pain. It was impossible to tell if it was tears or sweat, "Ah! Uncle! She's going to kill me!"
"Tell me!" Linna raised her voice. "If you don't speak, I'll bury your head in the ground!"
"You wouldn't dare! My uncle is the boss of this family! I'll have him kill you!" shouted Tommy.
"Do you think I won't?" Linna said, grabbing both of Tommy's ankles, lifting him up with force, and then slamming him down onto the ground.
"Tommy!" Zim screamed, desperate to rush forward.
Max waved his hand, and Leo immediately brought people to restrain Zim. The surrounding crowd gasped, watching as Tommy's head was about to be smashed into the ground.
Anna, too terrified, closed her eyes, her heart pounding. She thought, 'How could Paisley be so ruthless?'
This time, Tommy was terrified, shaking uncontrollably, so scared that he wet himself. "I'll tell. I'll tell!"
Linna's hand was precise, stopping just when Tommy's head was one inch from the ground.
"It's Bella, she said Rena's a bad kid, always bullying her and taking her stuff. She asked me to help teach Rena a lesson, so I hit her. Ah. I'm sorry. I know I was wrong. Please don't plant me in the ground."
"If you had just said that earlier, it would've been fine." Linna finished the task, grabbed Tommy by the back of his collar, flipped him over, and then placed him on the ground.
Tommy was genuinely scared this time. As soon as his feet hit the ground, he collapsed, crying nonstop, repeating, "I'm sorry. I was wrong. I'm sorry."
"Tommy!" Zim finally freed himself and rushed over to hug him. Though usually not one to stand out, he now glared fiercely at Paisley, saying, "You've gone too far!"
"This is too far?" Paisley smiled. "I can do worse."
"Leo," she looked at Leo, pointing at Tommy and Keeley, "Go, take them both and throw them out."
"Paisley, you're crazy, why throw me out?" Keeley protested.
"Because it's my house, and I say what goes," Paisley said with a sharp look, scanning the room. "Seems I've been too nice lately. You've all forgotten who's in charge here."
Keeley gasped, suddenly remembering this house was under Tyson's authority.
"Paisley, don't go too far!" Josie finally spoke up.
"Aunt, if you're unhappy, you can leave. This family doesn't need you." Paisley had no patience for anyone now.
Anna was furious, "Paisley! What do you think you're doing? Do you remember what day it is today?"
"What day?" Paisley responded flatly, her eyes looking at Anna without the usual fondness, only distance and coldness. "The Godard family isn't that important to me. I don't need this family."
Anna was taken aback, her face turning purple with anger. Paisley's words stirred up a commotion. People began whispering among themselves.
Indeed, with Paisley's power, even without the backing of the Godard family, she had already reached a position of great influence.
