After Florence and Bella left, Christopher no longer held back.
"Tyson." At this moment, he didn't even call him Uncle anymore. "You should just sign the papers. It'll save you some trouble."
Tyson sneered, "If I sign this, will I even be alive to see tomorrow?"
Christopher exposed his sinister side, moving closer to Tyson. "You're going to die sooner or later. If you sign now, I'll make it quick, and you won't suffer much."
"You bastard!" Tyson raised his hand, about to slap Christopher, but he was quickly restrained by the guards beside him.
"You still want to hit me!" Christopher slapped Tyson across the face. The slap echoed loudly.
"You son of a—" Anna trembled, pointing at Christopher, angrily muttering, "You're out of order!"
Christopher didn't care. "Old lady, Tyson, don't you realize the situation? This family is already controlled by me and my father. No one is coming to save you. Paisley and Max are dead!"
Tyson's face was still burning from the slap. He subtly glanced at the hidden cameras around the room. With his eyes, he signaled to the people monitoring him to remain calm. The big catch hadn't been hooked yet.
Just as they were talking, footsteps were heard from outside the Moon Haven.
"Oh! What happened? Why is Anna on the floor and no one helping her up?" Zim's voice rang out from the doorway.
When Anna saw Zim, it was as though she had seen a savior. She shakily stretched out her hand toward him, making incoherent sounds.
Zim quickly stepped forward, assisting the short attendant to help Anna up and sit her next to Tyson. As he stood, Zim's eyes met Tyson's deep gaze. His heart skipped a beat, feeling something odd in Tyson's gaze.
Just as he was about to investigate, Christopher's annoyed voice sounded, "What's going on? Didn't I tell you to keep an eye on things? How did he get in here?"
Just then, the man in the black hat walked in with his men. Edmond questioned him with a stern face, "Didn't I tell you to watch everyone in the mansion? Why is he here? What's going on with your men?"
However, the man in the black hat didn't even glance at Edmond and walked right past him.
"You!" Edmond glared at the man in the black hat. "Don't forget who you're working for!"
"Of course, he's working for me, Edmond." Zim straightened up, looking at Edmond with a smug expression.
Edmond's anger was still evident, but he was taken aback by Zim's words. Only then did he realize that the situation had shifted—those who had been on his side were now standing with the man in the black hat, supporting Zim.
On the sofa, after seeing Zim, Anna's hope slowly faded away. Her emotions collapsed again when she saw Josie being brought in, tied up, and looking like a shell of herself.
"Josie!" Anna struggled to get up from the sofa, crawling and throwing herself onto Josie.
"Josie!" Tyson didn't expect Josie to be like this. No matter what, she had always been his precious younger sister.
He glared at Zim. "She's your wife! How could you? How dare you?"
Tyson clenched his fists. His patience had reached its limit after seeing Josie in this condition. Anna had used her last strength to remove the tape covering Josie's face, only to see a filthy piece of cloth stuffed in her mouth. Trembling, she pulled the cloth out.
"Tyson!" Josie's body trembled, and she couldn't make a clear sound. "Zim betrayed me. Tommy is his son. He wants to take over our family!"
"What?" Anna looked at Zim in horror. She couldn't believe that such a wolf in sheep's clothing was hiding beside Josie.
Tyson's cold gaze shot toward Zim. At that moment, he finally realized the truth. It was Zim who was the "big fish" Paisley had mentioned. Now, the net could officially start closing in.
No one noticed Tyson's change in expression. Edmond and Christopher both had their full attention on Zim.
"What's going on? You betrayed me?" Edmond questioned the man in the black hat.
Zim sneered, "He didn't betray you. From the start to the end, his loyalty has always been to me."
"What's going on?" Hearing Zim's words, Edmond angrily glared at his subordinate.
The people from the dark web were all brought in by his right-hand man. These were the same people who had surrounded Tyson back in Brightmoor. So, Edmond trusted them completely.
But the man who had always been respectful to Edmond now just smiled casually. He then walked confidently over to stand beside Zim, side by side.
Seeing this, Edmond understood everything. His loyal right-hand man, who had been with him for years, was actually working for Zim.
Zim's grin grew even more arrogant. "It's a pity, Edmond. Your right-hand man is also mine."
Edmond staggered slightly, shaken to the core. Just moments ago, Christopher had been standing in front of him, but now, without him noticing, he was standing right behind Edmond again.
Zim watched the awkwardness of the father and son, deciding to reveal all the truth. "Edmond, you really are a great tool. If it wasn't for Paisley suddenly showing up and messing up all my plans, I wouldn't have had to give up on you so soon."
Over the years, he had used Edmond's right-hand man to constantly whisper in his ear, sowing discord, making Edmond's ambition grow while turning him more and more against Tyson.
And all Zim had to do was pretend to be the capable, good-natured guy, and he could gain what he wanted from the brothers' infighting.
With Josie's foolish love-struck behavior, she helped him consolidate his position between the family and the company. After a few more years of manipulation, he'd be able to rise to the top, and stay spotless.
But Paisley's appearance had messed up his plans. To avoid wasting all his previous efforts, he had no choice but to take some dangerous risks.
But it didn't matter. Now that Paisley and Max were dead, he just had to deal with the rest of the Godard family. He could then blame everything on Edmond, the fool, and remain the perfect, untarnished good guy.
Once that's done, he could use his good reputation in the company and his status as Josie's husband to take the position of power.
At that moment, without Zim needing to say more, everyone understood his scheme. Even Christopher understood. "Dad! So he's been using you all this time!"
Edmond's face turned ashen as he glared at Zim, wishing he could tear him apart.
"So, it was you who poisoned me back then, wasn't it?" Tyson seized the chance to ask.
Zim looked at Tyson with a calm gaze, as if he were looking at a dead man. "Yes, you're right. I poisoned the soup Josie made for you."
Josie had been happy for her elder brother, knowing Tyson was about to go to Brightmoor to see his daughter. At Zim's persuasion, she personally made the soup and sent it to him.
Tyson, who had lived half his life, was drinking his sister's homemade soup for the first time. He was deeply moved and drank it all, despite it being unpleasant, without any suspicion. What he didn't know was that this soup had almost become the poison that could've killed him.
Edmond's mind raced, and he collapsed into the chair in a daze. It was the right-hand man who had told him about Tyson's severe poisoning. It was also the right-hand man's suggestion that he go to Brightmoor to ambush Tyson.
If Tyson had died that time, Zim would have immediately exposed the evidence of him poisoning his elder brother. Not only would he not have gotten what he wanted, but he would have also been blamed for the murder of his elder brother.
"So that's why. So that's what happened!" Josie hadn't realized she had also been used as a tool by Zim, nearly leading to her own elder brother's death.
"Ah! Zim! I'm going to kill you! Kill you! Ah!" Josie screamed, her breathing rapid, her eyes rolling back.
"Josie! Josie! Oh my god, what do we do now?" Anna panicked, grabbing Tyson. "Tyson, what should we do now?"
"Paisy! Quick, save your aunt!" Tyson suddenly shouted.
Hearing this, Zim laughed wildly, "Paisley is dead, Tyson! Have you gone mad from the shock?"
"I think it's you who's gone crazy!" As soon as Zim finished speaking, Jolin and her team rushed in.
They knew exactly where to go, heading straight for the man in the black hat. The man in the black hat, realizing the situation, tried to run. But just as he reached the door, he ran straight into Jake, who had just entered.
"Trying to run?" Jake waved his hand, sending the man in the black hat flying across the room. The man was knocked back, spitting blood, but quickly got up and tried to escape through the window.
Jake quickly caught up, lifting the man by the collar and the two engaged in hand-to-hand combat. The man in the black hat was no match for Jake and was quickly subdued.
In a short time, the situation at Moon Haven turned around once again.
"Paisley, it's safe now. Come inside," Jolin said into the intercom, then looked at Josie. "Hurry in! Josie seems like she's really about to die!"
