Everyone in the Rainfall Retreat froze upon seeing Cole. The young maid looked at Cole as if he were her savior. She didn't dare make a sound, worried about angering Anthony, but she silently pleaded for help with her eyes.
Keeley didn't have a good opinion of Cole either. She still remembered how he had arrogantly stopped her from going to the third floor to find Paisley before. Normally, he was neither cold nor warm toward her.
"What are you doing here? Did my brother send you to pick us up?" Keeley looked at Cole with an arrogant gaze, as if she was going to return all the disrespect she had received from him earlier.
By this point, the entire mansion was already under her brother's control. Since Cole could bring so many people here, it must have been her brother's orders.
Thinking this, Keeley gave a contemptuous smile. "At least you old fool know your place. From now on, serve me and my brother well. If we're in a good mood, we might let you stay."
As for managing the house, forget him. He was so old, just looking at him was annoying. In the future, she'd find a few young, handsome men to be butlers to serve her. Just thinking about that image made Keeley's smile widen.
Cole frowned and gave Keeley a glance, then walked right past her, heading straight toward Anthony. Meanwhile, the young maid, who had been bullied by Anthony, had already started feeling hopeless when she heard Keeley's words. But just then, she saw Cole heading her way.
The next second, Cole's deep voice rang out. "Take these people to the Moon Haven."
As soon as the words were spoken, Cole's men moved quickly, restraining Keeley and the others. Cole personally stepped forward and pulled the young maid up.
"What do you think you're doing? You dare defy me! Don't want to work anymore?" Anthony was feeling overly inflated at that moment.
But Cole didn't even glance at him, instead, he ordered his men, "Tie him up!"
Soon enough, Anthony was bound, just like Josie had been.
"Damn it! Let me go! Are you looking for trouble? Wait until I get my hands on you all, you'll all die!" Anthony shouted, his expression twisted in rage.
"Old fool, what the hell is your problem? How dare you treat me like this! Don't you want to live?" Keeley still didn't understand the situation, especially since she had seen Zim control the whole mansion. Otherwise, Sandy and the others wouldn't have just walked in without anyone stopping them.
Cole didn't waste words with them. He simply waved his hand. "Take them all away."
"Cole!" A mournful, high-pitched voice echoed through the room.
It was only then that Cole noticed Florence, who was lying on the ground, unable to get up, her face battered beyond recognition, and Bella, trembling in the corner.
Seeing Florence and Bella here was a surprise for Cole. But this actually made things easier, no need to make another trip to the second branch's residence.
Just looking at the miserable state of this mother and daughter, it was clear they had been beaten.
"Help them up and take them to Moon Haven," said Cole.
Florence thought that Christopher had arranged for Cole to come and save them, and with a sigh of relief, her anxious heart calmed down. Keeley's earlier conversation had really scared her.
"Bella! Bella!" Florence was helped to look for Bella.
At this moment, Bella was so terrified she was nearly out of her mind, hiding in the corner and mumbling, "Don't hit me, I'll be good, don't hit me."
Seeing her precious daughter in this state broke Florence's heart. Her gaze toward Sandy and Tommy grew colder and more vengeful. She thought, 'Just wait! You'll all pay for this!'
Soon, Cole returned to Moon Haven with everyone. Keeley was roughly pushed inside. She didn't understand what was going on, and immediately stormed toward Zim, pointing at Cole angrily. "Brother! This old fool disrespected me! Kill him!"
Anthony and Mary were pushed in next, their steps unsteady as they almost fell.
"Zim, you need to keep better control of your people. How dare they disrespect me!" Anthony grumbled, his eyes constantly scanning around.
He had only taken a quick glance at the Moon Haven courtyard from the outside before, but now, walking into the main hall, it was even grander than he had imagined.
"Oh right, Zim. From now on, Auntie and I will be living here. Be sure to assign us some servants," Anthony continued talking, his eyes now distracted by a decoration at the entrance of the main hall.
Noticing no response, he turned back. "I said—"
His voice trailed off when he realized that there was more than just Zim in the room; there were many other people present.
Suddenly, Keeley screamed, her face drained of color, her whole body shaking as she pointed toward the back, where Paisley was casually sitting on the sofa.
"Paisley, how are you still alive? I thought you were dead!" She grabbed Zim. "Brother! Why is Paisley still alive? Didn't you say she was dead?"
Not just Paisley, but even Max and Leo were still alive.
"Brother!" Keeley looked up at Zim, only now realizing that her brother's face and body were bruised.
At that moment, Zim seemed like he had lost his soul, his eyes vacant. "Brother?"
"Oh my god! Zim, what happened to you? Don't scare me!" Sandy rushed over to Zim, pulling Tommy along. "Zim, talk to me!"
The scene before Sandy left her in shock.
"Dad! Dad!" Tommy was just a child. He couldn't see the whole situation and was still immersed in the joy. He grabbed Zim's hand. "Why are there so many people here? I don't like them. This is my house! I want to kick them all out!"
The words of the child clearly reached the ears of everyone present. At that moment, Florence and Bella were brought in. Since both of them were injured, the people who brought them didn't act violently.
This gave Florence the illusion that the Godard family was still under the control of Edmond and Christopher. As soon as they entered, she rushed towards Edmond and Christopher, crying out, "Dad, Honey! You have to stand up for me and Bella! Zim's relative attacked both of us!"
But as soon as she finished speaking, she froze in place. Because she saw Paisley and Max, both sitting there perfectly fine.
"Dad, Honey." She frantically looked around the room, and finally, in the corner, she saw Edmond with a grim expression, and behind him, Christopher, who dared not show his face.
"Dad, what's going on? What's happening?" Florence was so shocked by the scene that her heart was pounding.
"Alright, everyone's here. Finally, we can resolve everything at once." Paisley slowly spoke, her gaze sweeping across each of them. "I can't be bothered to waste any more time. I've collected all the evidence. Soon, Jolin's backup will arrive. Whatever you have to say, you can tell the police."
"No, no! I can't go to jail!" Christopher finally ran out from behind Edmond, but after just two steps, his legs gave way and he collapsed onto the floor.
He crawled in front of Paisley. "Everything was my dad's doing. I had nothing to do with it! I was forced to participate! The people on the dark web were all contacted by my dad. I don't even know how to access the dark web! I'm innocent!"
Paisley said nothing, just quietly watching Christopher's ridiculous behavior.
Seeing that Paisley didn't react, Christopher turned and crawled to Anna. "Grandma, please help me. I'm your grandson, your only grandson! You can't send me to prison. They've probably already arranged everything inside, and if I go in, I'll never come out alive! Grandma! I'm your grandson!"
