Tears filled Lilith's eyes as she looked at Felix in disbelief.
"Felix... you're just abandoning me like this? How can you treat me this way?"
Looking at Felix's face eager to clear his relationship, I felt nothing but disgust.
My father had never seen such a shameless man either. He frowned and announced to the entire venue:
"From today forward, all industries under Sinclair Group will permanently terminate all cooperation with the Smith family and Allens family."
"Furthermore, we reserve the right to pursue full legal responsibility for their unfair competition and malicious defamation of my daughter Yara."
Felix wanted to say something more to prove his "innocence," but was dragged out of the banquet hall by security along with the limp Lilith.
I raised my wine glass and smiled at the guests:
"Just a small interruption—sorry everyone had to see that. The banquet continues."
The Sinclair family's thunderous methods caused the already precarious Smith and Allens families' stocks to completely crash overnight.
Bankruptcy liquidation was only a matter of time.
Felix and the Allens couple were completely cornered.
A few days later, they brought Liam, whose eyes were red and swollen from crying, and knelt outside my villa gate, begging for my forgiveness.
Felix cried desperately:
"Yara! I'm begging you! I've completely broken with that bitch Lilith! Please, for old times' sake, spare the Smith family. As long as you'll relent, I'll do anything! Even if it means being your slave!"
The Allens couple also cried beside them, slapping their thighs and cursing:
"Yara! You heartless thing! We raised you for twenty years for nothing! Even raising a dog would create some affection! Are you so heartless that you want to watch our whole family die? Is your heart made of stone!"
But Liam glared at them:
"Don't talk about my mommy like that!"
"Lilith is the bad person, she's a big liar!"
He looked at me, his face streaked with tears:
"Mommy! I was wrong! Come back! Lilith scolds daddy for being useless every day at home, and she finds me annoying and says I only cry! Come back, I'll listen to everything you say from now on! I don't want that bad woman anymore! I only want you!"
I stood at the floor-to-ceiling window on the second floor, coldly watching the ugly behavior of that group of people below, waving over the butler.
"Please tell them for me."
"When they made their choices, they should have thought there would be today."
"My life will no longer pay for any of their mistakes and stupidity."
With that, I personally drew the curtains, completely shutting out their cries and confessions from my world.
After being rejected by me, the Smith family and Allens family went completely bankrupt.
Felix went from golden boy to having nothing overnight.
Felix, burdened with massive debts, took his son and hid from creditors everywhere. I heard he became an alcoholic, often collapsing drunk on night streets, incoherently shouting my name.
Lilith was convicted on multiple fraud charges and sentenced to prison, her future completely ruined.
And I, with the support of my family and beloved, saw my brand "Y.L." become a globally renowned luxury brand.
My wedding with Lucian was held on a private island closed to the public.
When I walked toward him wearing the wedding dress he had personally designed for me, he placed a brand new ring on my finger.
That ring was named "Rebirth."
At the moment we exchanged rings, my phone vibrated gently—a financial news notification.
The headline read: [Former Business Magnate Felix Bankrupt, Beaten After Drunken Street Brawl—Pitiful]
I didn't even click on it, just glanced at it and swiped away the notification.
Then I looked up, meeting Lucian's gentle, adoring gaze, and smiled brightly at him.
Sunshine, breeze, my love.
My life had long since turned to a brand new page.
Those people and events from the past were nothing more than a speck of dust in my brilliant life, long since scattered by the wind.
They could no longer create even the slightest ripple.
