My name is Michael, like Micheal the arch angel in the Bible.
I grew up in GMC, gospel missionary church. My father is the resident pastor in the church.
I believe in God, I know that it is written in the Bible in ‭Leviticus 20:26 that, ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.
So I try my best to keep the word of God by avoiding anything that will lead me to sin, among those days was when I graduated from my junior high in the private school owned by my church. I had to go to the big school in town.
I had being in this school for one year trying so hard to keep to the word of God which says in "1 Corinthians 5:11 but now I have said unto you, if any man called a brother be a fonicator or covetous or Idolator, you do not eat with them" I have avoided mostly all the students Cox they are completely what that verse is talking about.
I started struggling one morning I stepped into class, I was ready to be done with class and then go home for the Bible class which was upcoming that day. All of a sudden a sin walked into class, and that was where my problem started.
"Hi! Can I seat with you?" He said quietly.
"I don't own the properties" I said as politely as I can.
He sat down and focused on the board, my eyes never left the side of his face which was in view.
What on earth could it be that fascinated me about this boy, "so you wanna show me where the cafeteria is?" He asked me when it was lunch break.
Proven that he hadn't done anything to condemn him I just shrugged, he smiled and followed me to the cafeteria. I bought my food and ate, I brought out my Bible to study while I eat. "You know it is written somewhere in there that there is time for everything, time to die and time to live. Now is time to eat" he said.
I ignored him, "if you get home you can do this, God wouldn't notice" he said and smiled.
"Mathew 6:21 said that for where your treasure is, is where your heart will also be. The word of God is my treasure, so my heart is always with it" I said.
He exhaled, "wow! You are worst than my elder brother" he said.
I just totally ignored him and began to read my Bible. He stood up and walk away.
After school I was going home when he came up to me, "are you going my way so I can drop you off" he said.
"I can't" I said and walked away.
"What do you mean? This sun is hot, get in my car Micheal" he yelled.
I shook my head, "thanks though" I said walking away.
I took the bus and went home.
Getting home I lied face up thinking about that guy, I mean his nice he offered me a ride so that must be it. And again he does look like a little rabbit, I chuckled to myself as I got ready for Bible class.
The following day in class, he came in and slump into the seat next to mine. I looked at him and looked away before I will be tempted to ask him what's wrong, "wow! You are not going to ask me what's wrong?" He asked.
"Cox whatever is wrong I can't take it away" I said. "God will though, just table it to God" I said.
He smacked my head, my eyes widened, "what is that for?" I asked.
"You are an idiot" he said ignoring me.
I hissed and looked away, lectures started. "Dude! Will you hang out with me after school? Am going to the ice rink to skate" he whispered to me.
"No!" I deadpanned.
"Why?" He asked.
"Because I don't like you, you look like a sin" I said honestly.
"I look like a sin? Do you know that ‭Luke 6:37 said Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned?" He quoted.
I chuckled, "now you read the Bible?" I asked.
"Oh please my guardian is a pastor, I no many Bible verses. So will you come?" He asked.
I looked at him and he smiled, I just nodded. He cheered, "we are going immediately after school" he said and finally left me alone.
I followed him to the ice skating rink, I was pretty cold. And I don't want to skate Cox I know nothing about skating, I have seen people fall and it looked painful so I just sat and watched him skate. "You are no fun I swear to God" he whined the hundredth time.
"I want to start leaving" I said.
He nodded, he gave back his shoes and wore his own. "It feels weird to stand" he said and laughed.
I looked at him, "I will drop you" he said getting into his car. I just entered he drove to our house, I came down and saw my mom and elder brother. He waved at them and zoomed off.
"You are two hours late, what happened?" My mom asked.
"I excorted my friend somewhere" I said.
"Your friend?" My brother asked.
"Yeah! His new in school and he loves God too" I said.
"Really? Invite him to church then" my mom said.
"He said his guardian has a church, I don't think he can afford to miss their church" I said honestly.
"Okay! Maybe Bible class then" my brother said.
I nodded, "Japheth isn't here yet?" I asked.
Japheth is my brother's best friend love's God as much as he do, his parents are unbelievers so we are trying our best to bring them to God.
"He will be here soon" my brother Levi said.
Here is like his house, he spends weeks here. He goes to the college in town with my brother, I envy their friendship.
The following day in school I was waiting for him to come, I didn't see him till third period and he just showed up in class. "Hey!" He said smiling.
"Don't talk to me" I said.
His smile faded, "what did I do?" He said shifting close to me.
"Mr Samuel, do you mind explaining to us what it is you are discussing with Mr Godsent" our teacher barked.
One thing I hate is being called out by a teacher, this means this guy is bad news.
After class he was following me to the cafeteria, "come on, talk to me please" he said following me
"My Bible tells me that he that walketh in the ways of the wise men shall be wise, but he that walks in the companion of fools shall be destroyed" I said to him.
"What the fuck? What's that supposed to mean?" He asked.
"Blood of Jesus Christ" I yelled making a sign of cross on my body, "I will pretend I didn't hear such terminology from you. And from today I desist from talking to you" I said.
"Why? What on earth did I do? What's your problem? We are friends alright, I haven't done anything wrong." He said.
"My Bible said in 1 Corinthians 15:33 to not be deceived, that Evil communication corrupt good manners" I said and walked away.
The next day he sat somewhere else, he made new friends and ignored me.
Deep down I was hurt, but it's good it shows his really one of them. I will look over at him on intervals.
One of those times he caught me looking at him, I quickly looked away.
Three days later and he came to class and sat beside me, "I know you missed me, so here I am" he said and chuckled.
I rolled my eyes, "my Bible tells me in 2 Corinthians 6:14 do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, Cox what has the righteous got to do with the unrighteous" I said.
"Do you know the Bible verse that said make no friendship with an angry man and with a furious man thou shall not go?" He asked.
"Yeah! Proverbs 22:24" I said.
"Good because am at the verge of strangling you right now, say one more Bible verse I dare you" he spat.
I rolled my eyes. (Proverbs 4:14 tells me not to enter into the part of the wicked nor...." I was attacked.
He grabbed my neck, like that we both fell of our seat and my head banged a seat behind me. I fell to the ground, I rolled him over knocking his hands off my neck. "Have you lost your mind?" I asked shocked.
"Maybe I have Micheal, I have lost my mind" he screamed at me.
I rubbed my aching neck going to seat down, he slowly sat beside me. "I'm sorry" he said.
I sighed, "I don't want to be friends with you anymore" I said honestly.
"You have no choice Mick you are stuck with me" he said and smiled.
I looked at him, he placed his hand on my neck. "Sorry! He said and blowed air on my neck.
I was staring at him, "sorry! Okay?" He said.
I nodded, wait did I just nod? I looked away from him. There is something innocent about his face that makes you forgive him.
A teacher walked in and class begun, after school we both walked to his car. "Um... Today is Bible class, do you want to come with me?" I asked.
"Will I seat with you?" He asked.
"Yeah! If that's what you want" I said.
He nodded and smiled, I chuckled. I entered his car and we drove to my house. "Hi! Mrs Godsent" he greeted my mom.
"Oh my God! You are Michael's friend right?" My mom asked.
He nodded. "You look beautiful ma" he added.
"Well thank you, it's the Lord's doing" my mom said.
"I didn't get your name the last time" mom said.
"Cole!" He said.
"Cole?" My mom asked.
"Yeah! Cole Samuel, I am adopted by pastor Samuel of the Bible charismatic church" he explained.
"Oh! Wow! Okay! Nice, you are going to Bible study with us right?" Mom asked.
He nodded, "Mom I will just eat and we join you In church" I said.
My mom nodded, "Levi come on, let's go" my Mom called for my elder brother.
He came rushing down with Japheth. "Hi kiddo!" Japheth said ruffling my hair.
I chuckled, finally we where alone. "Um! That guy is he your brother's...".
"Best friend? Yeah! Since high school they are pretty close" I said bringing out our food from the microwave.
"We can be pretty close too" he said.
"Yeah! If you stop behaving like a demon maybe I will consider you a friend" I said.
He groaned, "whatever!" He said and scooped a full spoon of hot spaghetti shoving it into his mouth.
He yelled out, I rushed closer to him and blew into his open mouth. "What is wrong with you? You want to kill yourself or burn your mouth" I asked as he swallowed the spaghetti without chewing.
His face was red, "look! You are all red" I said taking his water and placed it on his cheek, he was staring at me. "What?" I asked.
He looked away, I dropped the water. Please blow on the food." I said.
He nodded, we began to eat. We entered his car and drove to church, it's not quite far but he insisted on taking his car.
He sat beside me as the service went on, I read some Bible verses. When it was over I introduced him to dad, my Dad is a nice man he hugged him.
He got into his car and waved at me, he went home.
I actually enjoyed his company, the following day at school I waited for him at the car park. As soon as I saw him I was happy, he got down from his car. As he caught glimpse of me his face lit up. "Hi! Good morning!" He cheered runing over to me.
"Good morning!" I said.
We both walked to class as he told me about his little sister, apparently he considered his guidian his big brother. His married and just had a baby last night, his so excited.
After class I asked him if he want to follow me home, he declined that he wants to go see his sister. In as much as I told him that if Mr Samuel was his big brother it means the girl is his niece.
He ignored me, we separated and I went home alone. "I thought your best friend will come today" Levi asked me as I came home.
"He has a new niece his excited about" I said sadly going into the kitchen.
"Japheth!" He called.
"What?" He answered from upstairs, I took my food and come out. I found Japheth staring at him.
"What happened?" I asked.
Levi got up and stormed away, Japheth sighed. "His so dramatic" Japheth said.
"What did you do?" I asked.
"Nothing! Just came down and he asked me of someone and he walked away" he said.
I nodded, I dug into my food. I chuckled when I remembered Cole almost burning his mouth yesterday.
The following morning I went to school I waited for him at the parking lot, he didn't show up and first period was about to start, I turned to leave and all of a sudden he just showed up.
A smile appeared on my face and it quickly disappeared as I saw who his with, the guy that always makes fun of me in class. Not that he can do anything to me though, he just talks carelessly.
I just walked away quickly before they see me, I walked into class before they came in. He sat beside me, "good morning!" He said.
I didn't respond, "I thought you would be in the parking lot waiting for me" he said.
"Why will I do that?" I bite out.
"What is it now? What did I do?" He asked.
"The word of God is meant to be read and followed Cole, for example Ephesians 5:11 says not to have fellowship with unfruitful works of darkness rather we should reprove them Cole. You wine and dine with darkness, I don't like it" I said.
"Is this about Sam? The Bible also says love your neighbour as you love yourself. I just picked him on the way and drop him here" he said.
"Oh!" I said.
"What? You think we are best friends and left you?" He asked.
I scoffed, a teacher walked in and he didn't say anything again.
After class he gave me a sandwich he said he made, it was delicious. We ate and didn't bother going for lunch.
After school I was dreading to ask him if his going to follow me home, I don't want to him to say no again.
I just entered his car, "I am going to Bible study with you" he said in the car.
I was more than happy, "okay!" I said.
We both got to my house and Mom was still making us food and I am hungry, my Dad was about leaving. He greeted him politely, I took him to my room. "Wow! You are clean, are you sure we can work Cox I don't clean" he said falling into my bed.
I chuckled, "I will go say hi to my brother" I said.
"Say hi to his boyfriend for me" he said making an air quote with his fingers.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked.
"Your brother is dating that guy" he said.
"Holy Ghost fire!" I yelled, "I rebuke that spirit speaking through you, have you lost your mind? What nonsense? The Bible made us to understand in Leviticus 18:22 that we shall not lie with mankind or woman kind, anybody that does is committing an abomination. Are you trying to tell me that my own brother is committing an abomination?" I asked.
"Wait! What is this? Hold on! You don't like me?" He asked.
I frowned, "what do you mean?" I asked.
"I mean why am I here? If you can scream about your brother that way, what about us?" He asked.
"Us? What do you mean?" I asked.
"I fucking like you, in fact.." he said and got up.
I was looking at him, he grabbed my face. I closed my eyes expecting to be hit, Cox well I have come to terms with him being violent. I wasn't hit, rather I felt something on my lip.
I opened my eyes and his face was pretty close, what's happening. Wait! His kissing me? I pushed him away. "What are you doing?" I asked horrified.
"I like you a lot, I thought you liked me too. I didn't know you are oblivious towards my feelings" he said grabbing his bag. "Before you ask me to leave I will" he said walking away.
With my hands on my mouth and in shock I watched him leave.
I fell on my knees with tears in my eyes, "have mercy upon me oh lord, according to thy loving kindness, according to thy multitude of tender mercy, blot out my transgression. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I have acknowledged my transgression and my sin is ever before me. Against thee only have I sin, and done this which is evil in thy sight..." I kept reciting Psalm 51 as tears flowed down my face.
My heart hurts, my head hurt, I have cried so much and I didn't sleep a wink last night.
"You are not going to school?" My brother came into my room to ask.
I shook my head, "God should take my life" I said.
"Why? It's not yet your time" he said.
Tears filled my eyes as he sat me up, "I have sinned gravely against him" I said.
"Okay! There is no sin greater for him to forgive, just ask him for forgiveness" he said wiping my tears.
I exhaled, "I have been asking since last night, it doesn't seem like God will forgive me" I said.
"Okay! If I may know, what did you do?" He asked.
I held my chest as the memory came flooding back to me, I burst into a cry. "He will never forgive me Levi, it's only when you repent from your sin and don't do it again that's when you deserve to be forgiven. I... My heart....my chest is killing me" I said.
He exhaled, "is it Cole?" He asked.
I looked at him immediately, he sighed. "I noticed how happy you are around him, you get all mushy and flustered. So what did you both do?" He asked.
I wiped my tears, "he kissed me" I said staring at him.
"Let me guess, you want to run to him and kiss him again?" He asked.
I nodded staring at him. He chuckled. "You are going to hell" he said.
I fall back on my bed, "I will drop out of that school, please help me get transferred please!" I begged.
"To where? You have to fight the temptations brothers, avoid him. Always pray, ask the holy spirit to help you" he said raising me up again.
"And please go and shower you are already late to school" he said.
I took my bathe and got dressed I dragged myself to school, I was reading my Bible while the teacher is teaching. He walked into class during second period and took a seat, he rested his head on the desk.
I swallowed and fought the temptation to look at him, lunch break he sighed and closed his eyes.
I got up and walked around us going to lunch, I couldn't stomach my food. I just trashed it and sat reading my Bible.
We went back to class I sat down and he opened his eyes, our eyes met. I was staring at him, he cleared his throat. "Um, am sorry for doing that to you yesterday, I mean there is no way you would have liked me, you are raised right from time to follow the ways of the Lord. And I an abomination just came from no where to change what you have been taught, to lead you to hell. I'm so sorry, please forgive me" he said tears rolling down his face.
My hands moved on its own and wiped his tears, "you are not an abomination" I said.
"I am.... I read several potion of the Bible, I didn't see a part that supported Me. I hate how am feeling, I want it to stop honestly. I really....."
My thumb traded on his lips cutting him shut, I looked up to his eyes. I retracted my hand, he wiped his tears. "Come!" He said grabbing my hand.
He dragged me out of the classroom and into an abandoned classroom filled with damaged chairs and tables, he leaned on my body as my back touched the wall. He grabbed my hand placing it on his face, "Are we going to ignore the Bible verses?" He asked.
My eyes drifted to his lips again, I pulled him closer. I placed my hand at the back of his neck I pushed his head closer and closed the gap, my lips was on his.
My heart wants to rip out of my ribcage, he moved his lips. Tears poured down my face as I moved my lips too, I kissed him.
It felt so right but it was so wrong, I hated how wrong this felt. As I broke the kiss I had cried a lot.
He wiped my tears, "Am sorry for pushing you into this" he said.
"No! It's okay! I already have this feelings for you, you just broke it out yesterday" he said.
"Please stop crying" he said and kissed me.
I nodded and willed myself to stop, he kissed my cheek, my nose, my eyes. I chuckled and groaned.
He laughed, he hugged me wrapping his hands around my neck. My hand rounded his waist, "Are we not going to class?" I asked.
He groaned, "let's go" he said.
I nodded, we both left for class. After school I packed my books and walked to my locker Cox he was speaking to a girl in class.
I waited for him at his car, I exhaled severally looking at my Bible. I am not too strong to escape this, I thought to myself.
He came out, he opened his car I got in. "When did you get your car?" I asked.
"As I turned 17" he said.
"Am not 17 yet" I said.
"Oh! That's not a problem is it?" He asked.
"No! Of course not" I said.
He nodded, he drove down to my house. As we both walked in, Levi looked at me. I looked away, he sighed.
I know he won't tell our parents rather he will try talking me out of it, "today is not Bible study Micheal, why is your friend here?" He asked.
"Why is Japheth here, today is not Bible class" I spat.
Come to think of it, it might be true what Cole said. "Mom! Dad! Am home! My friend is here with me" I yelled in the direction of their room.
"Let's go upstairs" I said grabbing Cole's shirt.
As we walked out of sight I left him alone, "we are not supposed to be in a room alone Micheal" he said.
"Why? You rather stay downstairs under my brother's eyes?" I asked.
"Not that, we are behind a closed door, a lot can happen" he said and his face turned red.
I didn't understand what he was saying, I just took my clothes and entered my bathroom to bathe. I was scrubbing my hair when someone hugged me, I knew it was him. "Let me help you" he said his hands entering my hair.
I turned on the shower and my hair was rinsed out, "what are you doing in here?" I asked my eyes leaving his face.
He lifted my face up, "concentrate on my face you spoilt child" he said.
I chuckled and pulled him close into the shower the both of us bathed together, we exited the bathroom. I gave him a towel, "can I sleep over?" He asked.
I nodded, "ok I will lie to my brother that .."
"Please don't lie, okay? Let our only sin be loving each other please! Don't lie okay?" I said.
"Okay!" He said and took his phone, I wore my clothes and hugged him. He was talking to his brother, he told him he wants to sleep over.
He refused but after begging him for a while he agreed, he hung up. "So what do we do?" He asked.
"Get dressed first" I said giving him my clothes. His literally same size as me so he could wear my clothes.
As we left my room going downstairs Japhet walked out of Levi's room with tear stained face, "trouble in paradise" Cole said beside me. Levi came out and chased after him.
"They might not be like us idiot" I said pushing his head.
"Do it again one more time I dare you" he said.
I chuckled, "you are a demon" I said and chuckled.
He smiled walking down with me, "Cole! Darling are you sleeping over?" My mom asked seeing him in my clothes.
"Yes ma'am" Cole said.
"Okay!" She said and smiled.
Levi came back with Japheth and they both went upstairs, I excused myself from my mom questions and went upstairs to go find out if what they are saying is true. As I walked up to the room the first thing I heard was shut up.
I flinched, "what do you want me to say when the only thing you talk about Is him, it's always him Levi. I am tired, okay! Am going home, just let me take my bag and I will leave" Japheth said.
"If you leave here, you won't come back to this house again" Levi threatened.
"It's fine! You never loved me after all" Japheth said. I heard footsteps and I left the door. He walked out and walked away.
I entered the room, I sat down. "So I want to talk to you about something" I said.
"Now is not the time" he spat.
"When is?" I asked. "So I should go Cox you broke up with your boyfriend?" I asked.
"As a matter of fact yes, get out!" He yelled tears gathering his eyes.
I got up immediately, I haven't seen my brother this ragged. I just walked away. I came downstairs and met Cole in a deep conversation with Mom.
They where eating, I joined them. Cole grabbed my left hand under the table, I smiled. After the whole conversation that was boring me to death, she finally released him to me.
We both went upstairs, I fell into my bed he locked my door, and he spread my legs crawling into my body. He sighed.
My heart was pounding, and I felt somehow down my pants. He moved his legs and I bit my lips holding in a sound that threaten to leave my mouth.
I wrapped my hands on his back as I closed my eyes, we both slept off with that. 6am everybody came down for devotion.
Cole was almost crying as he stayed beside me, I tried my best to keep him awake while my Dad was praying. "I hate your house" he said falling into my bed after the devotion.
"You have to get used to it, Cox you will be staying here some more this days. So let's get ready for school" I said.
"It's not even seven yet" he said.
"That's why you are always late to school" I said walking into my bathroom, I came out and he had slept off. I smiled, "wake up!" I said shaking him.
My mom opened my door and came in, "your Dad and I are leaving for church, breakfast is ready. So eat and go to school, you both shouldn't be late" she said..
"Yes mom! Thanks!" I said.
I began to shake Cole violently, he opened his eyes. "Am not sleeping over in your house ever again" he said entering the bathroom.
Surprisingly he refused to talk to me and we went to school just like that, in class he sat beside me he still didn't talk to me. During lunch break I brought my Bible out and stared at it, I exhaled and opened it.
He looked at me and scoffed, he got up and I grabbed his hands sitting him down. "Look! I don't know why you are behaving like this, but am sorry" I apologized.
"Let me go" he said snatching his hands and walking away, I bit my lips and left the class after a while. I walked into the cafeteria and found him talking to that guy he drove to school the other day.
I balled my fist and left the cafeteria, as I walked back to class tears assembled my eyes. Just imagine who I sinned gravely against God for, I burried my face in my school bag as I cried.
School over I just took my bag and walked away from class, "where are you hurrying off to?" I heard him say pulling me back.
"I am only going to let you in on this once, I have anger issues, please leave me alone" I said as calm as I can.
I began to walk away, "come on! Is it because I didn't talk to you in the morning? You are supposed to...Stop walking" he said pulling me back.
I punched him, his head banged the wall behind. "Leviticus 19:18 said thou shall not avenge or bear grudge against the children of the people. That doesn't apply to me Cole, if you want to be with those son's of iniquity be with them. Don't ever come close to me with your defiled self, stay away from me" I spat.
I walked away with that, a week later and we haven't spoken. Not like I care, he switched seat with a girl. His literally seating with that guy, but on several occasions I have caught him staring at me.
I got home today and found Japheth in our house, "hey man! What's up?" He asked.
"Am okay, are you good with my brother now?" I asked.
"I don't think so, just came Cox mom said she hasn't seen me in a while" he said and smiled.
I nodded, I went to drop my bag. As I was coming down the stairs my brother walked in from school, as he saw Japhet he stood rooted at the door. Japheth was on his phone.
"What are you doing here?" He asked Japheth.
Japheth ignored him, he walked close to him. "We are over Japheth, you shouldn't be here" Levi spat.
"Well tell your mom to stop disturbing me about wanting to see me" Japheth spat.
"You will not talk about my mom that way hear me?" Levi spat.
"Or what? It's not like you are good son's to them, for one you wish they didn't bring you into this world. And you won't dictate to me what to do" Japheth spat.
"Do you know what I regret most?" Levi asked and chuckled. "Those times when I thought you were all I needed, guess I was just being fooled. Anyway, stay, fool around, and then you can leave" Levi said and walked away.
Japheth looked back at his phone, his hands where shaking. He wiped his face, what really happened between them?. "Levi! We need to talk" I said as my brother got to me up the stairs.
"About what?" He asked walking into his room.
"What happened between you too?" I asked.
"Got tired of being his best friend" he spat lying face down on his bed.
"Among the things I choose to do is not sin against God, my only sin was going to be with Cole but it flunked. So i guess we should rededicate our life to Christ" I said.
He turned and looked at me, "so you knew?" He asked me.
"I actually don't, it was Cole that told me, and then again you weren't so judgy when I told you he kissed me. And I kind of overhead your break up" I said.
"I pretty much hate him I swear" Levi said.
"What happened?" I asked.
"So I started talking to this gay guy in school, all of a sudden he just assumed I am dating the guy and doesn't love him. And that's it, nothing I say makes sense to him anymore and he just broke up" he said.
"So you weren't cheating?" I asked.
"No! Never! I will never, I love him. But nothing I say makes sense to him, maybe it's for the best" he said.
"Wow! I kind of messed up, so there is a possibility that you can start hanging out with someone else and it meant nothing?" I asked
"What did you do? Cole likes you a lot" he said.
"I don't know about that, his so annoying. Why can't he talk to only me" I said.
"That's not how it works, you have to let him breath. That's the problem with me and Japhet, he wouldn't let me breathe" he said.
I exhaled, "thanks for the talk though, I will talk to him tomorrow" I said.
He chuckled, "so no rededicating our life's to Christ?" He asked.
"Get out!" I said and chuckled. I fell into my bed and exhaled when I got to my room. Maybe I was being too much.
I walked into school the next day ready to speak to Cole, beg him if I must. I didn't get to Cox as I was waiting for him at the car park, I watched that Stanley guy kiss him before they got out of his car.
When he saw me he stopped walking, I smiled. Good riddance to bad rubbish I thought to myself, maybe that rededication is pulling through.
I walked away, all through that day each time he turns to me I just gave him a smile. Maybe this is God giving me the courage and the strength to come back to him.
I felt relieved and at the same time I felt like my stomach is being ripped open, I hate this and I want to cry. Then again I really don't want to.
As I walked down the hallway to leave the school compound someone held my arm. "Hi! Uh...are we good?" He asked.
"Sure! But I don't think I want to talk to you Cole, let's keep our distance" I said.
He just nodded, that was it. I rededicated my life secretly to Christ, Cox I can't just tell my father I fell out of faith, he would end me.
I moved on with my life till it was finally our finals, I mean it's two years since my love scandal. I almost forgot that Cole pretty much exist, yeah we still see each other but we don't talk and I am a boring person according to my classmates.
Finally it's the last few weeks of high school, and finally my parents bought me a car. So I happily drove to school, I parked at the car park like normal students as I got down I attracted stares. My car isn't that fancy but it isn't bad.
As I was walking to class trying to avoid stares I ran Into someone, "watch where you are going to" he spat walking past me.
I turned and watched his retreating figure he jumped into his car and drove off, he just got here.
What's my business, I walked to class. As I sat down there are still people laughing. "Dude have you seen this?" One guy said shoving his phone on my face.
I looked at the phone, I wanted to look away when I recognised who it is. I gasped, then I calmed down. "Get this off my face, may the Lord have mercy on you" I said.
I sighed, who could have done that to him? And why is he so stupid enough to send someone his nudes. And he looks so.... Jesus Christ! Michael focus, please.
I shook my head, throughout the whole day. That Stanley guy was just laughing not even caring about his so called boyfriends nude flying around.
Immediately school was over I followed that guy to the back of school, "you know is so bad that your partner's nude is flying around and you are not bothered" I said.
He looked at me and fished out a cigarette, "listen church boy, you need to mind your business or am going to let your parents in on a little secret their boy is keeping from them" he said.
I chuckled, "look I am too invested in the ways of the Lord, it will be too difficult before my parents will believe you" I said.
"Your little boyfriend thinks the world revolves around him, I needed to teach him a lesson" he said.
"I would say he deserves it though, but the word of God say in proverbs 1:15 my son walk not thou in the way with them refrain thy foot from thy path. So I am not going to say that, and it's actually good this is happening so that he will know who has his best interest at heart." I finished.
The guy watched me walk away, I entered my car and went home.
He didn't show up in school till our first day of exam, students where pointing and talking about him. "The word of God says in James 2:8 that if ye fulfil the royal law according to the scriptures thou shalt Love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well. So I am going to help you and break your shame a little by seating with you" I said plopping down on a seat beside him.
He exhaled, "yeah! I know you hate me, you really don't have to pretend" he said.
"Well you are right, I don't really like you. Hate is a strong word, but me being here for you is not pretending. Levi said I was chocking you by getting mad that you where talking to your ex, I wasn't after all Cox you both hit it off. And here you are" I finished.
"Just mock me okay? You where the one who punched me and treated me like shit, we where good. I and Stanley, we both was perfect I just couldn't stop what I felt for you. I didn't know I was stupid by answering his FaceTime anywhere he called, what more could he do. It's over anyways" he said and wiped his tears harshly.
I exhaled, "well am available to listen to your misery anytime, but bear it in mind God loves you" I said and concentrated on my revision.
He wiped his tears, "so it's really over between us?" He asked.
I chuckled, "dude! Do you think I will want you after your nude is everywhere? Regardless of being a Christian Cole, I was planning on being with someone I will share there first as they share mine. Not someone who the whole world have seen naked, sorry." I said.
Tears poured down his face I wasn't moved, "and we where over that day I found you both kissing in the car, I don't eat leftovers" I said.
"Leftover, I wasn't even a virgin when we met" he said.
"Feels good to know, I mean I committed a grave sin to God with you? Geez thank God am back to Christ. It's better if you do too Cole, honestly" I said.
"Your words hurt Micheal, I don't deserve them. You are hurting me" he said.
I rolled my eyes, "you forget it, you will forget the pictures Micheal. Just..."
"Stop talking Cole, I told my parents you where gay that's why I stopped being friends with you, Cox they kept pestering me. And my dad saw you one day holding hands with him, so you and I is a closed chapter" I said.
He exhaled, "but we are still friends right?" He asked.
"Well yeah! Till month end, and we go our separate ways" I said.
He wiped his tears and nodded.
So that was how I over came, the temptation. I fell but I am back to Christ and yeah as I am writing this I am married to the most beautiful woman on this earth, and we are blessed with three kids.
Levi moved abroad away from us and no one knows what's going on with him, his not married yet, and I feel his still gay. Mine was a phase with who I taught was real, yes Cole is married too but to a guy. Just heard about his wedding that's all, Japheth is no where to be found ever since he left our house that day.
