There is no denying that Yang Jungwon would give everything to have a second chance with Hani again. But he certainly did not expect that the second chance would be given to him that very day.

It was totally out of the blue, and Jungwon even began to wonder what in good samaritan did he do to have been blessed on a day that started so casually.

"Hey Jungwon..." Hani starts off, and every word that she practised earlier was basically wiped out the moment she caught a glimpse of Jungwon's sparkly eyes. A blush crept up to her cheeks and ears, and her heart was beating fast again.

Is this a result of her anxiety again? Hani couldn't tell for sure, but she knew one thing: She won't let this mental blockage stop her from moving forward with her desire to change and get closer to Jungwon, not this time.

"Can.. we like.. the– you know.... of" So, without the practised mantras, she urged herself to remove her insecure crossed arms, and stood straight for the first time.

Although her head was still hanging low and her gaze was faltering to avoid Jungwon's, this effort of hers was the biggest leap she had ever done for the past years that she was diagnosed with her condition.

She was struggling to find the correct words, and it was evident by the way her eyebrows were furrowing, and her frown deepening. Jungwon, of course, sensed her nervousness, so he did what he thought would help.

He smiled.

He freaking and flippin' smiled, which made the case all the worse.

Now with mouth agape, Hani's mind went blank. There's only one thought inside her mind. He's unreal.

And Jungwon— upon realising that Hani was speechless— took the initiative, but not before chuckling at her cute little startled expression. Adorable. Absolutely adorable.

"I'm all ears Hani, what is it that you wanna talk about?" Jungwon openly asks. He didn't consult the counsellor of their school and stayed up late to read books and articles just to fail in making Hani as comfortable as possible.

Don't overdo yourself Hani, take it slow. Remember? Hani licked her chapped lips and flattened them. "It's about the tutoring sessions."

Jungwon nodded in understanding. It's said that in order to get a person with anxiety to be more open about their true thoughts, you need to act like you understand them— even if it's true or not. That way, they'll be able to express themselves more.

"Hmm, what about the tutoring sessions?" He says softly while he maintains his composure, a little distant but close enough to Hani. At this point, Jungwon knew Hani's condition more than her. He could even take a test about psychology and he'll surely ace it.

That's how eager he is to know more about Hani, and how to get closer to her.

As the saying goes, Yang Jungwon won't stop until he gets what he wants.

Meanwhile, Hani is at war with her mind. She kept on thinking what words to use next. But she also can't believe that she kept up a conversation and it was lasting for more than seconds.

This little victory of hers is a huge success. And albeit that she could feel herself getting drained a little with the energy she was using in absorbing the moment, she's happy that she's actually holding out.

And it's all thanks to her black cat lad.

"...Maybe we can try again?" Hani was holding her breath the entire time, but for the first time, she expressed herself without stuttering, and also with a calmer heart. For the past few minutes, she was experiencing her first times, and she could not be more joyful.

On the other hand, Jungwon was on top of his world. Sure, he was delighted to see that all his efforts didn't go to waste, as Hani stood in front of him with a collected posture, and she was looking into his eyes without any effort of avoiding eye contact.

But there's something more to be happy about— Hani is willing to try again.

Im Hani; His crush, 'lil peanut, cat lady, ghibli animation lover, and his calico cat lady, is standing opposite to him, ever-so beautiful and charming. Her black glasses still so clumsily placed near the end of her nose, and her dry lower lip buried under her pearly white teeth.

She emanated a breathtaking golden reflection as the sun kissed her slightly tanned skin. The view she is: It's a breath of fresh air. One of a kind, unique and special in her own way.

Jungwon didn't even notice how he was smiling ear-to-ear like an unhinged idiot who thought of a lame joke inside his head. But maybe he was indeed crazy. For all the stunts he pulled, thinking that his identity as a secret admirer is still hidden from Hani.

He was reminiscing each and every moment, heart fluttering occasionally as he realised how far he's gone. Yang Jungwon was never the type to be heads over heels over someone, he never was addicted to anything. But he is so damn bad for Im Hani, and he was realising all of these all at once— As he looks bad to the masterpiece that's her.

Jungwon wondered how someone could be gut-wrenchingly perfect. With each breath he takes, the more he loses oxygen in his brain, and it turns the scene a whole lot more hazy and dreamy... If that's even possible.

"Perfectly fine for me." Jungwon states as his smile turned into a downward one— in a pathetic attempt to hide his foolish smile, even though Hani has already seen it.

Speaking of the girl, least to say, she was practically a robot who's malfunctioning. She didn't know what to say or do. Should she smile, laugh, jump in celebration, or squeal?

"But Hani.." Jungwon paused for a moment and weighed the moment in his mind. Would it be the right time to say what he wants?

No.. It's actually the perfect time.

"If you are having a hard time saying something to me, just express it without a thought." Jungwon slowly took one step closer to Hani, so much so as to not startle the latter.

"Because I'll understand you, Hani. No matter what." Jungwon smiled softly and took a step closer yet again.

But Hani paid no attention to how close he was starting to get. Rather, she was dazzled. How could someone be so heart-clenchingly perfect? Hani is aware of Jungwon's constant efforts, so his words meant a lot to her.

He had done everything in the books to reassure her, and it has given the most courage to Hani in order to take a leap of faith, and try ridding herself out of her comfort zone, where she refused to grow for the longest time.

Yang Jungwon took her out of her misery, and as he closed the gap between their bodies, his hand reached out of her arm. A soft caress burned on Hani's skin. And it sent shivers down her spine.

However, she didn't feel like vomiting or out of breath. Hani could only hear— and feel— her heartbeat; Their heartbeats that were in sync.

Right at that very moment, the sun rose and its rays hit their eyes, and through it, they let the magic unfold. Simply with that, they became each other's golden hour.

They admired one another so lovingly that their hearts couldn't take it. Truly fulfilling, and also heartbreaking. They could feel their hearts crack at the overwhelming and profound feeling.

An emotion that's full of passion and many others; Perhaps.. Is it love?

Yang Jungwon never liked getting driven by emotions, but his lips opened to speak even before he could think of what he was about to tell.

"I, Yang Jungwon, swear to understand you even when you can't, Im Hani."
