The wind is cool today, yet the sun gives a vibrant warmth, giving the perfect weather for the two love birds, who filled the whole living room with laughter.

So much time has gone by, and there were many things that happened. But no matter the obstacle, both Jungwon and Hani remained together.

If anything— It only made their bonds stronger. The two have been quite inseparable. Shortly after the indirect confession written in blue post-its, Jungwon figured that Hani wouldn't mind getting asked out. So, he did.

And his devotion bore into the young lover he is to the charming girl.

"Ni-ki must've been upset that you took the banana milk. I didn't have any because it was out of stock in our cafeteria that time!" Hani snorted, catching her breath but immediately losing it too as she just couldn't contain her laugh.

"Yeah, he wouldn't stop bothering me to pay for his drinks for the whole week." Jungwon chuckled, his sparkly eyes hiding in his now-crescent shaped eyelids.

Ting! The oven light ceases as its timer runs out.

"Wait, I'll just go get the cupcakes from the oven." Hani says before standing up and withdrawing her hands from Jungwon, but the latter protested by locking their intertwined hands together.

"Noo, those can wait. Don't leave, even for a second." Jungwon whines, laying down on the couch all of a sudden and almost taking Hani with him. However, the girl only chuckled and insisted.

"We still have to cool them down in the rack so we can ice them down, Wonnie." She says softly before venturing towards the kitchen, where she wore the thick yellow kitchen mitts.

She then opened the oven and proceeded to carefully put the tray of freshly baked cupcakes, opting to settle them down right beside the icing bags they prepared beforehand.

The sweet scent of vanilla mixed with the scrumptious aroma of red velvet filled the air. The smell was quite nostalgic, and it brought a certain memory to Hani's mind.

A smile came to her face, and as she put the mitts out of her hands, Hani went back to the living room, where Jungwon awaited her with a smile. He welcomed her with open arms, and she gladly jumped between them.

The couch dips abruptly before bouncing back, carrying the weight of two lovers whose bodies are now tangled with one another. With Hani's head resting on his chest, and her body over his, she took a whiff of his perfume.

Baby powder. Just like his personality. Precious, light and delicate, underwhelming but definitely satisfying on the nose. Even though physical touch is a normal occurrence between the two of them, it still makes Hani anxious sometimes.

Her head follows each heave of his chest, and she could hear his heartbeat. Not once did the feeling of his heartbeat pacify the butterflies in her stomach. She was calmed the moment she heard it.

"Do you remember the time when I hyperventilated right before our tutoring session, and you went here for nothing?" Hani randomly blabbers. She could feel her heart trying to match the beat of Jungwon's, and her breathing in sync with his.

"Mhmm?" Jungwon hums softly, thinking that it's just one of the usual nonsense stories that Hani loved sharing. He adored the fact that she was comfortable to share small talks like this with him. It just proves how much she's grown accustomed to him.

"I actually baked cupcakes for you, but I saw you all gloomy and I thought you were mad at me, and I hyperventilated." Hani giggled, before hearing an audible gasp escaping from Jungwon.

"Nooo." Jungwon groaned. "That would've been my villain arc, right and there."

Hani only chuckled in return, before burying her face deeper into Jungwon's lean chest, laughing out the embarrassment. Jungwon got a little tickly and prodded up in instinct. Talk about giddy.

This caused the both of them to almost fall, if not for Jungwon's arm, which instantly extended to the ground in reflex. Thanks to that, their bodies both caught balance. His wide eyes quickly averted to Hani to check if she's okay, and seeing her eyes wide and mouth gaped made Jungwon squeak.

"You literally have no business being this cute! Why are you always so cute? You lil peanut!" Jungwon exclaims as he squeezed Hani's cheeks. This caused her glasses to fall from the carpeted ground, but Jungwon couldn't be bothered.

"I'm nOt CuTe! Ah!" Hani was gibberish and forced Jungwon's hands away from her poor red cheeks.

"No, you are cute." Jungwon stated in a serious tone, eyes directly looking at Hani as if to prove something.

"No." "Yes." "No." "Yes."

"Ha," Hani scoffs before smirking mischievously, to which earned an arch of the eyebrow from the boy under her.

"Is this cute then?" Hani's desperate attempt to make an ugly face only made Jungwon's heart clench tragically as he fell for her even more.

"Adorable, absolutely adorable."

And those were the last words uttered, before the atmosphere suddenly became heavy. Tension arose and they both couldn't help but notice the close proximity they put in.

Much more, the curve and the plump that their lips are didn't fail to beg attention and some warmth as they both looked into each other's eyes. Right then and there, letting their lips collide felt like the only right thing to do.

Badump. Badump. Badump!

But Hani's heart couldn't take that just yet. So, she sat up on his lap, all flustered. This surprised Jungwon too. Her cheeks were a light shade of pink, and her wide eyes were glistening. Oh no... I ruined the moment, didn't I?

Hot tears formed in the corner of her eye, and at that very moment, negative thoughts flooded her head.

It's been over two years since we started dating but I can't even give him a kiss, he probably wanted those cute relationships. He always did everything for me and yet I couldn't even return the favour. What if he falls out of lov—

But all of those thoughts evaporated the second Jungwon wrapped his arms around her waist. He sat up properly, and buried his head into the crook of her neck.

"I love hugs the best." He lied, and they both know that. Jungwon always wondered what her lips would feel like against his.

There was not a day that he didn't imagine letting their lips meet. However, he knew Hani wasn't ready for that. And he's willing to wait for her, no matter how long it takes— Or even if he can't kiss her his whole lifetime. What matters to him is that she's here with him.

His little white lies are always obvious, and though Hani always knew that some of the things he said he felt otherwise, it's just an indirect assurance that he doesn't mind doing what he has to do.

After all, Jungwon is always clear when it comes to his likes and dislikes.

"I don't know what my life would be without you." The grip he had on her waist tightens, as if to imply how much he would never be ready to ever let her go. And what he said was nothing but the truth.

Before Jungwon met hani, he despised waiting, he hated spending on gifts, he loathed clinginess, and there were more things that he didn't like.

But look at him now, waiting for Hani to open her heart to him, spending his money to buy little gifts that she'd appreciate, and he became the clingy one in the relationship.

He changed— Not for the less, but for the better. Jungwon became more inclined in his obligations, especially in bettering the school environment as the student council president. And he learned to become more patient, empathic, and understanding.

On the other hand, Jungwon became the reason for Hani's drastic improvements. From involuntarily frowning and slouching, with him, she became more confident to smile and move freely without the retrains of worry and overthinking.

She broke free from the handcuffs of her condition, and though only time will tell if she'll fully recover, living life the way it is right now with Jungwon is much better than living the way she did before she met the man.

Her boyfriend is heads over heels for her, but she— too— was just as crazy in love. Both of them think that the other is far too precious for them. But that didn't stop them from earning their luck with love.

Im Hani is not just the frown-faced girl, calico cat lady, or lil peanut to him now.

And Yang Jungwon isn't the Mr. Blue Post-its, handsome student council president, or the black cat lad.

Lovers. That's what they are to each other.

Jungwon moved mountains for her, and she walked over many ones just so their hearts could finally meet. Right from the start, there was no saying that they'd be able to live their dreams— But the once vivid imaginations slowly turned into a euphoric reality. And it was all by fate and devotion.

Jungwon tested the waters. If he can't feel her lips, then that's okay okay. He'll gladly just let her feel his affection by the kiss on the forehead, until the end of time.
