It was one cold autumn afternoon when both Jungwon and Hani decided to go to a newly opened café by the high street for a date. Orange leaves seldomly fall from the branches of trees which align the pavement as they walk through it, crisp leaves under their feet making a satisfying sound as they step on it.

The bell by the door jingles as the ever-so chivalrous Jungwon opens the door for his girlfriend. Then, they proceeded to the counter, where they looked up the menu.

The café is a little jammed considering that it was marketed everywhere around town, Jungwon was a little concerned if there are still unoccupied seats left. After all, the line before them is considerably long too.

So, Jungwon figured that it would be better if he orders for them, while Hani finds a seat.

"I'll just get a regular hibiscus tea with strawberry syrup, oh and some chocolate cake too. What's your order, Ha—" Jungwon leaned a little to his girl, but was quickly interrupted.

"I'll order, you go find a table for us." Hani whispers with an optimistic smile, slightly pushing Jungwon towards the dining area of the café.

Her unusual enthusiasm to interact with other people surprised Jungwon, and it made his eyebrows raise slightly.

"Are you sure..?" Jungwon asks, but Hani only dismisses him with the nod, before gently pushing him away again.

Jungwon only eyed Hani back and playfully narrowed his eyes, before scoffing with a smile.

So, with that, Jungwon stood at the far corner, eyes roaming the whole area in hopes of spotting a table for two. And luckily, there it was— A perfect spot for two people, right beside the huge window pane which filtered the autumn sun just right.

Jungwon did not waste any time and took the seat, and after doing so, his eyes were automatically set on his girlfriend, admiring the adorable girl from afar with a smile as he rested his chin over his hand.

Yet his smile falters when he notices Hani fumbling with the hem of her— or rather his— beige cardigan, and her feet tapping lightly on the tiled ground.

It seemed like she was struggling with something, and his slight suspicions were confirmed when he looked at the female cashier, who wore a puzzled frown in her face.

Whatever Hani and the cashier was talking about, it looked like they were arguing. Was that the case? Or was Jungwon being a little too paranoid.

And as soon as Hani's feet dragged herself to Jungwon, the latter grew even more concerned. She came back with glossy eyes, glistening as she stared at Jungwon, embarrassment laced in her expression.

"What happened?" Jungwon furrows her eyebrows, feeling his heart growing rampant for the cashier who— according to his intuition— looked down on Hani. Right then and there, he was ready to stand up and confront the cashier, even if she's a girl.

"Sorry.." But his knitted expression soon ceased and instead was replaced by a confused one when Hani sat down and laughed. Half her body plopped to the table, and her fisted hand silently hit the wooden material.

"Why were you teary-eyed? And why are you laughing?" Jungwon queried, head tilting in utter confusion.

And as Hani prods her head up again, he is met with her dazzling beauty. Eyeglass slightly out of place, nose and cheeks slightly red, and her eyes all shimmery due to the tears which formed.

"I was reading the menu before I ordered and the last thing I saw was the hazelnut syrup add-on. So, when I ordered your hibiscus tea, I got it all mushed up in my head and accidentally told her that I want a hibiscus tea with hazelnut syrup." Hani laughed at herself.

"And she was asking nicely if I was sure about what I was getting but I became too anxious to correct her so I was just like— SuRe— and pretended that I like the combination even when it's your drink and I have no idea how it'll taste." She continued on with her story, while Jungwon gazed at her with mixed emotions.

He didn't know whether to be amused that Hani was able to handle the situation without him, laugh because of how embarrassing the encounter was, or grimace at the strange and seemingly awful combination.

Hani noticed the frozen look of her boyfriend, so she grinned apologetically and reached her hands to intertwine with his— As if that's her little peace offering. "Sorryyyy, hehe."

Jungwon could do nothing but squeeze her cheeks and grinning with her. "Thank your absolutely adorable charming charm, you 'lil peanut."

Rumours say that when you're in love, life just becomes 101% better, but to Jungwon, even the most terrible of drinks becomes a little less punishing to drink if it's for the love of his life.

"So... Is it good?" Hani, doe-eyed, asked him expectantly, hoping that her order mistake didn't make Jungwon suffer.

And as the boy actually takes a sip fearfully, the flavour hits his palate and his expression can't hide the strong punch of the unmatched and overpowering taste of two separate flavours.

"It's good." Jungwon smiled, though it seemed like he's been hit in the throat constantly the moment he let the liquid marinate in his tongue.

Hani chuckled, "You lying?"

"...Yup."

Jungwon is almost always sure that there will be something added, forgotten, or mistaken on their orders. It always happens whenever Hani orders for the both of them, but Jungwon could care less.

What's important is that Hani gets to work her way with socialising, even if it means eating a whole cake because she accidentally ordered that instead of a sliced one.

This would have to be his life in order to continuously love Im Hani, but Jungwon would never trade this moment for anything else.

He doesn't mind drinking hibiscus tea with hazelnut syrup for the rest of his days so long as he has Hani in his life.
