HALWRIGHT SCHOOL OF SUPERNATURALS - Chapter 23: Chapter 23

The party had been well on track the faction leaders who knew of the plan kept a watchful eye at the 5 mystics who were with Mael, Roman had been feeling anxious he knew something bad would happen but he didn't know what exactly.
"Ben there hasn't been anything suspicious about any of them, so far we're in the clear but I know something will pop up." Robin stood beside Roman making sure the witch who was now the only person he considered a friend was safe.
"Why didn't you let Hayes shake his hand earlier?" The vampire asked with a curious stare. "Mael is the archangel adorned with the pillars of control and his abilities can span to manipulation if need be, just a touch and you would be a puppet." When Ben explained the vampire made an oh with his lips and regained his posture to a defensive stance.
"It seems you really do know him well." The girl, a vampire stood beside Ben. "Well, hello your deranged highness." She hissed toward Robin.
"I don't know who you are but please back up, you're way too close to my body." The witch moved closer to Robin. The vampire who stood in front of them smirked.
"Don't be so arrogant Master of the Neo beasts, Mael and the rest of us will soon have you on your knees begging for mercy." She sneered walking to where other mystics from Vastorway stood. "I do not like that leech." Carter now stood where the vampire stood moments before.
"Tell me about it." With a heavy sigh the witch looked to where Kyra was, he had been entertaining guests all night and it seemed he was currently about to blow with the sparks of electricity around him. Ben could feel his auxis bubbling, trying to come up to the surface. "Robin, Carter let's go." In an instant, the three stood beside Kyra.
"What's wrong babe." Robin asked his mate trying to calm him. Kyra only pointed to the figures in front of him and Ben immediately boiled in rage. Carter could feel the waves of heat coming off Ben and Robin could feel the surge of electricity going on around then, and both powers sizzled on the ground.
Ben never thought he would see her again and Kyra always believed that if he was to be at Halwright the school's magic would mask his presence and his own brother wouldn't know he was there. Now it seemed both witches were wrong as they looked to their older siblings with hatred.
"You finally made it, I believe you know these two, and that's Carter and Robin." Mael spoke with a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. Ben knew this only meant Mael was responsible for everything. He knew his sister was at Vastorway but he never expected her to show up.
Scarlett walked to where Ben stood and so did Declan. "Hello brother." Both the older witches spat out as they greeted each of their brothers, the venom and disgust lain in their words.
Hayes had been at the other end of the room with Paige, the siren knew something was wrong when he felt the slight change in the air as if molecules in the air we're being ignited by fire and electricity. He knew only two people were capable of doing that so he looked to Kyra and tugged on Hayes's wrist. "Hayes let's go." The two immediately make their way to the group.
"I'm here." Ben sighed in relief as Hayes appeared by his side, burying his head onto the demon's chest. Scarlett and Declan along with Mael were stunned by the demon's actions. Finally able to control his powers he began to breathe in normally. "Kyra baby look at me, it's alright." The curly-haired witch much like Ben held onto Robin, his auxis dissipating.
"So you found a mate how precious, too bad you'll die and leave him soon enough, once his little mark is embedded on you." Scarlett with a sinister smile spoke. The others who knew of the mark only smirked discreetly because they knew the mark had already been put. "Hello sister, nice to see you again." Ben had his golden cat eyes showing, it shocked Mael and the witch who was his sister.
Scarlett only responded with her own, though hers were a steel grey. "Well since we have nothing to talk about, enjoy the party, Declan, Scarlett." Kyra spoke up, his brother held rage in his eyes seeing Kyra with a mate happy, he was jealous that a monster was capable of getting a mate and he couldn't.
Paige only stood astonished by the difference in power between siblings. He could feel their unique abilities, he could feel the endless abyss of Ben's power but when it came to his sister he could read the limit of her own. As did with Kyra it seemed Declan his brother was an endless chasm of power but so was Kyra, he wondered who was stronger.
As they walked away. Hayes looked to Ben. "So that's her huh." He raised his eyebrows looking at his mate in an apologetic manner he knew of the witch's past so it wasn't hard to identify Scarlett.
"I take it things got a lot more complicated huh?" Robin spoke up, holding Kyra closer. "Yeah they just did, but when it comes to defending this place nothing else matters, Declan has tried and failed to kill me way too many times."
Across the room, Mael stood with his own. "Did our informant deliver and did you help him with the little present for Hayes and Ben?" The were who had been by Mael's side nods. "Mael you won't believe what I just found out." A siren with long black hair stood where the others were. "What is it?" The vampire asked smirking. She too was interested to know what her friend had found out.
"Alarion has a mate, the very old and very powerful Devin of the ghosts." She spoke as if she was singing but it could not stop the anger in Mael. "I want to kill that bastard myself, he took everything away from me he doesn't deserve a mate, he broke our home." The vampire and were immediately try to soothe the angel, he couldn't cause a scene not yet anyway.
"Calm down Mael, we have a plan already let's just stick to it." Scarlett succeeded in calming the angel. Her anger was also directed to someone in the room. She wanted his blood for murdering her mate. Declan was in his own thoughts, thinking of all the ways Kyra might have escaped the Guard.
"Let's get out of here." All those who were with Mael nod, they leave with satisfied smiles as they pass the barrier which kept Halwright safe. All students who had come from Vastorway began leaving as well. It was midnight as the party ended.

Theo had not attended the party because he couldn't face any of the others, he wanted time to himself. So he had gone to the one place where he could be one with nature and bring peace to his mind. The hidden garden had helped him indeed.
What troubled the fae wasn't the silence it was the abrupt footsteps he could hear on the forest floor and the quick flapping of wings in speed one could only assume to be of a person trying to get away desperately. So the fae had taken to the sky and immediately as he began to look around the demon dorm exploded from its foundation.
The explosion rocked the entire school but it seemed a spell had been cast to delay the alarms or the sound of the explosion. The fae flew directly for the building on fire. He tries to rescue some those inside but the raging flames were too much.
He began channeling his auxis to summon water from underneath the ground but it only seemed to get worse. "Don't waste your time fae bitch it's enchanted. The building will burn to ashes." Ramos smirked as he walked away. Theo knew it was pointless fighting he had to get help. So he flew off to the great hall.
"Hayes!!" The fae yelled. Everyone turns to look at him and the scorch marks on his skin. "Theo, what is it?" Ben asks the fae. "Enchanted flames at the demon dorm, I tried putting it out it won't work, there are mystics inside." As the fae spoke gasping for air. Ben nods to the others and they all teleport to the building in flames.
"Ben, what do we do?" Kyra asked Ben hoping he could put out the flames. "Carter and Lario use your earth and ice, combine the two, and make a platform for the demons on the upper levels. Hayes use the shield, get inside and find anyone unconscious, Robin you'll be outside waiting for any that come out with Hayes. Devin creates a vortex to take some of the excess heat. Lucian, I need the strongest winds you can make in dragon form blow toward the vortex. Paige and Kyra, you'll be handling the lower levels once I put out the flames, Theo you're healing."  All of them nod and get to their individual task.
Ben levitates off the ground. "Ben be careful this fire was amplified I don't know by what." Ben nods toward Devin who was trying his best to concentrate on maintaining the vortex.
"Dark Circle. Neo Summoning. Pyro Capture." The silver haired witch stunned his mate and all who were helping him, the demons had heard him as well. No one had combined that kind of magic and it was never to be done. Hayes knew magic like that had rules because the body could not sustain the strain of magic. Then he remembered Ben wasn't an ordinary witch.
Jaws from a void of black matter appeared above Ben sucking in all the flames that were engulfing the demon dorm. "Guys, what the fuck is that?" Paige asks as he and Kyra make their way out with the demons who had been caught up in the flames. They all gasp as they see the massive jaws of a beast slowly closing and disappearing into the void.
Ben settles on the ground, his body glowing, not changing back it seemed something was taking over. Hayes hurriedly flew to his mate. "Ben what's wrong." The demon asked cradling his mate.
"No no please don't." The witch muttered before his body was overtaken by a light so bright it seemed like a second sun.
