HALWRIGHT SCHOOL OF SUPERNATURALS - Chapter 32: Chapter 32

All around them, lightning hailed and lights flashed, the grounds trembled as gold, purple and black smeared the sky and air, power so fierce it terrified any who dared to venture close, could be felt all around.
This was it, as the earth crumbled and drummed underneath them. "Kyra." Declan exclaimed looking at his brother, the one he tried to kill, the one he sold to the guard, the one he hated.
"Declan." Kyra replied his face blank but his eyes brimming with power barely kept at bay. "Its finally come brother, the day I kill you." Declan taunted as the wind and sand around him began to move in a spiral around his body, his eyes turned to cat slits showing his power as a royal.
"I know for you it may be that day, but today is the day I prayed never to come but it has." Kyra's body had a blue gleam rolling off it, dark grey clouds had covered the sun but that didn't matter, thunder rumbled in the sky making its presence known, a spark ignited in the air as lightning flickered all around the witch.
"I hope you survive." Kyra mumbled to himself before shutting everything out and focusing on battle. "Sand Barrage." A flash flood of sand came from Declan and attacked Kyra, it did not stop in its attack as the witch used his magic to control it.
"2nd Degree: Orca Vortex." The water burst from the ground behind Kyra and met the sand in an explosion that nullified the sand. Kyra moved quicker than lightning forming a blade of electricity in his hands and attacking Declan.
The first slash Declan was caught off guard, the second he tried to dodge but the electrical blades shocked him, Kyra increased his speed, he spun around Declan and jabbed his back with one of his blades. "Detonate." He commanded and the blade exploded leaving a hole in Declan.
Declan fell to the ground on one knee, focusing his magic, the wound began to heal at a rapid pace. He chuckled standing up. "You've mastered your auxis I see." Declan asserted turning to Kyra who was ready to attack again.
Declan vanished into the wind and appeared behind Kyra, delivering multiple blows to his brother so fierce they broke his ribs, wasting no time Declan created his own blades by the element he controlled and cut down Kyra.

Kyra dodged the wind blade which had cut him several times, allowing Declan to plunge his knife into him, Kyra took Declan's hand dragged him forward. "1st Degree: Electrocut." Declan tried to move away but Kyra kept a death grip on him and released lightning into his body.
When the curly headed witch let go of his brother, steam from the electrocution came off his body, Kyra was quick to act and slammed his brother into the earth. When Declan staggered to his feet a kick to his chest had him doubling over coughing out blood.
"3rd Degree:Blaze." The fire erupted around Declan burning him and the oxygen around him, he began to choke clawing at his neck for oxygen. Kyra intensified the flames more as his brother was on his knees, seeing that there was no mercy from Kyra, Declan created a whirlwind going anti-clockwise and snuffed out the flames.
"You're holding back." Declan hissed. "So are you." Kyra replied knowing his brother was only showing half his capabilities. "You're right I suppose."
Declan conceded standing up. "Sand Storm:Violent Rapids." As Declan raised his hands the sand storm gathered and ravaged Kyra, Declan's sand didn't sting, it cut through him, much like the air.
"1st Degree:Lightning Massacre." Above Declan, clouds gathered and from them, massive bolts of pale grey lightning were released, Declan screamed in pain as he was hit, he raised his hand to the sky and when the lightning hit, it turned to little grey specks of sand. "Sand Armor." The little specks gathered on Declan's body creating an armor even lightning couldn't pass through.
"2nd Degree:Aqua Missile." The water burst from the ground, concentrated enough to make several explosive missiles, Kyra launched them toward Declan, when they got close, wind and sand mixed creating a barrier that stopped the missiles making them explode.
Kyra hadn't noticed his brother moving until he was behind him and said only two words. "Gale explosion." The massive continuous explosions tore through Kyra's arm and broke both his legs, while he was on the ground Declan came with his sand,  it moved at his command and formed a hard slab above Kyra.
He flicked his fingers and the slab dropped to crush Kyra as he was healing. The curly headed witch knew that was it, he was going to die, but then he remembered, Ben had helped him escape, Hayes helped him find control and Robin loved him, with that in mind he raised his hand up and the slab that was to crush him turned to flakes of ice.
His body glowed with power from within, he had unlocked the last of the degrees, Declan gasped when he saw the mark in ancient hieroglyphs brand itself on Kyra as a royal.
"Impossible." He mumbled, but in all right it was possible, Kyra was a Syre and so was he. The curly headed witch stood up to face his powerful brother, his eyes turned to blue cat slits. "Thank you for helping me earn my right."

"Hello Cheryl, how is my sister." Paige sang as he stood in front of the faction leader from Vastorway, Cheryl chuckled looking at Paige. "She is doing alright Paige but we both know that's not why you're asking." Paige hummed looking at the girl.
"Shall I be told what you're doing here and why a noble such as yourself is doing this?" Paige spat out anger bubbling inside him. "Reasons, reasons, you know he would attack those who reside at this school for not getting him out and if Kay was to attack the school he would kill all of you g—." Paige realized what his sister and her mate were planning.
"So her plan is to let me die here and then she can take the throne with you by her side easily." Cheryl smiled innocently at Paige. "You've always been smarter than you looked pretty, Paige." The siren scoffed. "You know that thing won't be getting out and I'm sure my friends will stop you." Cheryl laughed looking at Paige.
"Don't be absurd Paige, they are outcasts with no control of their power and unwanted, what could they possibly do." The siren sighed looking at the girl knowing it was useless arguing with her, his sister was the one who had fed her the failing plan anyway.
"I guess it can't be helped." Paige sang, his song was soothing, comforting like the hug of a long lost lover, a promise of happiness and love, it drew Cheryl to him, from his thighs the siren pulled out two blades, with a swift motion the blade had pierced Cheryl pulling her out of the trance.
"Fuck." She hissed and spun back to avoid the second cut, Paige was relentless as he sang a song that granted him protection as well as speed. Barely enough time to dodge the girl took on the damage from Paige.
With a bleeding throat, Cheryl released a point blank scream throwing Paige to a tree, his back arched but took little damage, both sirens stood on their feet healing and having had enough time to heal Cheryl had a sai in both hands.
"Shall we sister inlaw." Paige exclaimed lunging for Cheryl who did the same. The two metals vibrated when they clashed, Paige using his left leg kicked Cheryl's sai away, he used one blade in his right hand to cut down the girl's stomach.
Cheryl caused a tremor with sound waves and to her advantage let out a burst of power from a song that caused explosions at will. Paige's song of protection was still intact so when the two powers clashed an explosion of sound occurred throwing both sirens to different sides bleeding.
Cheryl was breathing heavily, she knew she couldn't go against Paige for a drawn out battle, there was more to the unwanted future king than just his voice. Paige stood up and began humming, the song began to constrict Cheryl, crippling her from the inside.
She tried to sing the song of repulsion but it was too late, Paige came behind her and delivered several blows to her back, she screamed when she felt metal pierce her back. "Destructive vibration." The blade in Cheryl's back began to vibrate and each minute it grew stronger making her scream harder.
She successfully sang the song of repulsion and the vibration stopped, her mind and vision cleared to see Paige standing a distance away from her. The blade she pulled out disappeared into purple flakes.
"Dark Wail." The siren screamed the song of chaos toward Paige, it numbed him from the inside, blood trailed from his ears and mouth, chaos and despair filled his mind, he screamed in agony until he slumped on the ground barely conscious.
The siren knew he had to fight, the battle could not be lost easily, so with his blade in hand he staggered to his feet shocking Cheryl, she attacked Paige using sound waves in each blow.
A low kick to his abdomen and another cut to his thigh, she spun around and slashed his legs again, Paige did not scream at the assault, he barely dodged as Cheryl plunged her dagger into him, she screamed ripping flesh from Paige's body.
With one final kick, Paige was knocked down toward a tree, she walked to him twirling a blade in her hand, she would be rid of the prince and his sister would be queen, she would be by her side and they would rule the banshees and sirens together.
Raising the blade to make a quick kill, she froze, Paige stood to his feet, his usual ocean blue eyes turned a dangerous shade of purple, his body began to heal at a stunning rate. Cheryl gasped when it seemed the damage he had taken before was easily undone like childs play.
The siren let loose a point blank scream stronger than Cheryl's that it threw her away, she rolled on the ground, her arm was broken and her skin had been ripped off, her ears hurt so badly she felt as if daggers had pierced them.
Looking at Paige, she saw a calm and beautiful siren, his slightly long hair danced in the wind but the ground underneath his feet trembled when he walked, his eyes were shockingly purple and it terrified her.

"5th Degree:Flaming Ice." The stream of ice pierced Declan burning him, his sand armor no longer protected him from Kyra. "Current Cycle Dance." He defended but Kyra raised a shield that protected him from the sand. "2nd Degree:Vortex 3rd Degree: Flame Inferno." The two powers combined and collided with Declan's attack in a massive explosion.
Declan was still stunned to know that Kyra the only one who hadn't unlocked all his abilities had finally gotten them, he now had the magic of a Syre and the elemental control of the Rahul. "Summoning Sand Spirit." This was now his moment to show he too had the magic of a Syre.
The monstrous sand spirit roared to life behind Declan and he smirked toward Kyra, his brother was not surprised by the action, so he clasped his hands together. "Summoning: Lightning God." Power flowed from Kyra and behind him stood a giant, it's body massive stood above the trees.
He smiled looking at Declan who was baffled by Kyra's demonstration, the two creatures attacked causing earthquakes and tremors where they clashed, the sand spirit attacked after immobilizing the lightning giant with sand. " Salvo." Declan poured power into the sand spirit, several massive spheres of sand imbued with magic, and explosive talismans were raised and shot at the lightning God.
This was the showdown everyone watched as the lightning god was hit several times over until it collapsed. Kyra poured power as well into his summoning. "2nd Degree: Dragon, 1st Degree: Lightning Carnage." When the two powers merged water dragons emerged with purple lightning coursing through them.
The attack exploded fiercely when it hit the sand spirit, wings from the lightning god summoning wrapped around its body with Kyra inside to protect him. Outside the sand spirit had been nullified and destroyed, the explosion destroyed the creature and left Declan heavily breathing.
He staggered to his feet to witness the giant lightning summoning which radiated power, Kyra appeared in front of him as the summoning disappeared. "Let's finish this." Declan announced as he gathered the last of his power, his cat slits changed back to normal eyes. "Ultimatium Strike." The spheres of energy gathered in his hands.
Kyra raised both his hands into the air, one hand a lightning bolt appeared, it grew bigger and bigger with power, the other it was a vortex of water which roared to life.
Declan released his final attack toward Kyra, the curly headed witch was strategic, he released one attack which was the vortex, it took on Declan's attack swirling and struggling to contain it. "Forbidden Degree: Forbidden Bolt." The lightning bolt had charged enough power and turned black.
Kyra released the bolt of lightning which went straight into the vortex causing an explosion that ripped the earth in two and yet again, thunderstorms and whirlwinds ravaged their battlefield.
Kyra was wrapped in a cocoon of magic that protected him, when the cataclysmic explosion stopped he finally emerged, he looked around the battlefield to find it ravaged by their battle, sadly he walked to Declan who lay on the ground numb.
"You surprise me, Kyra." He coughed and Kyra snickered. "The neo beast of visions told me that you and Kaiser are mates, he told me that you planned to kill me and Ben, you knew I would defend Ben with my life and you sought to kill me, how could you be so blind to his manipulation Declan, your desperation to please the mate you've had for a year has turned to this!" Kyra yelled at him.
"Shut up Kyra, it's none of your business." Kyra scoffed shaking his head. "It's not I get it, but beware, Kaiser is only out to use your desperation to please him, he's a tyrant and tyrants do whatever no matter the cost, to take and achieve what they want, be careful Declan and never return to Halwright." When Kyra finished Declan vanished from the place.

"Dark hymn." Paige sang what he had cast shocking Cheryl, the siren slowly took one of her blades and stabbed her herself repeatedly, it was the song making her do it yet her mind was clear.
She screamed repelling the magic, she lunged for Paige who dodged with ease, her scream ripped boulders from the ground, using sound waves she launched them toward Paige.
The siren saw the boulders and screamed crushing them to pieces, Cheryl lunged for Paige again and barely missed his neck when she tried to cut him, the male moved to block the attacking dagger and punch Cheryl in the gut, using sound waves he caused an explosion that threw his opponent away
She rolled on the ground exhausted, Cheryl knew there was only one option, her final attack. So she staggered to her feet and  started to hum a song that granted her control of the element she wanted and that was wind, creating spheres of compressed air and sound waves she walked toward Paige.
Paige had already anticipated the last attack, so he had created a sound barrier which couldn't be detected by Cheryl around her. When the girl released her final attack it ricocheted on the barrier and exploded, she screamed until she couldn't.
The sound ripped leaves from trees and uprooted them till there was nothing in sight. "Dead Man's Wail." Cheryl's eyes went wide with shock and absolute fear, the scream released from Paige knocked her away, brought madness to her mind, and caused upheaval to the ground, every part of her broke apart even her mind, till there was nothing but fear and darkness.
Paige walked to his sister's mate and kneeled beside her. "I would never try to kill you, I know the value of mates, but tell my sister that I don't want to be the matriarch and if she ever attacks me or the school again, I will lose the respect I have for her mate." Paige had placed a palm on Cheryl's head humming the song of healing.
The girl vanished from sight leaving Paige to sigh alone. When he looked up he saw the blue giant slowly disappearing and braced himself for a cataclysmic explosion, when it passed he shook his head at the display of power.
"How truly magnificent." He mumbled.
