All the students of the school had been assembled, all of them knew the school had been placed on high alert, no one had expected the sudden change from jovial party to farewell in the middle of the night, the supreme Ben had turned off his light and now it was almost dawn, they were all confused, all waiting to hear why their school has twelve shields, guardians of the sea and moore wood creatures guarding it, was some war coming or was it a drill.
Ben and Kyra sat on the floor of the council hall, there was a map laid out on the ground, candles and salt lay on the map as well, runes had been made with black ash, each representing the one they were going to find. "Let's do this." Ben announced as Kyra moved to sit opposite him, they held hands and Ben siphoned from Kyra the magic he needed. "Inveniat vostium locam malpho estigo." The two witches chanted as the candle flames flared, and the ash moved to the place where the two mystics they wanted were.
"Is that?" Ben asked Kyra. "Yes, Enders Cove, the whole cove was enchanted by witches, it stops magic from being used inside, and it also masks anyone trying to hide, though I don't know how we're able to find them now." The witch explained as the both of them let go of the other. "I have demon magic, it works in the cove, the place was meant specifically for witches, not an incubus." Ben explained as the others stood near them.
"Alarion, Carter, and Lucian, your magic will work perfectly in the cove, you'll find Corey and Connor there, try get as much information as you can and do what you deem fit with them." Ben instructed and the three mystics nodded, Alarion was the first one to have his wings burst out of his back, he had a score to settle with Connor, Carter also had wings appear from his back, he was intent on killing those who had betrayed them and Lucian whose wings made an appearance last was going to enjoy watching the two traitors turn to ash, the three shot out the window into the early light of dawn.
Hayes knew they had to address the students now but what would they tell them, that the school was no longer safe, that they couldn't fight because their leaders hadn't prepared them, the vampires, demons, and sirens were the only ones he knew that were truly ready, the rest weren't. "What do we tell them?" Robin questioned looking outside the window. "The truth, they aren't ready for a war with a school that has been preparing for a long while now, its too dangerous, only us and our second in commands can fight this battle." Devin responded walking up beside the vampire.
He also felt distraught about the situation they were in but they couldn't do anything about it, they just had to pick up from where they were and fight. "If any are injured my work room isn't big enough, and Ben's workroom has a lot more holding inside, we can't use it, we have to make a plan and soon." Kyra exclaimed, they indeed needed a better healing lab. "What if we use the old clinic, upgrade it with the help of the students, a lot of fae specialize in healing, witches as well, the weres have healers too, the dragons can be our muscles and the ghosts could upgrade the tech instantly with the help of their supreme." Theo offered and everyone seemed to look at him in surprise.
"That is an awesome idea, Devin already had the blueprints to my lab in the neo realm, all he needs to do is replicate it." Ben added and Theo was giddy with the approval. "That's a plan that could be set in motion, what about the remaining six factions, what would they do?" Taylor questioned everyone and Robin had an answer for him. "The angels can help with the lab, the vampires, demons, and wendigos will be working in the forge, we are going to need weapons, the sirens and incubus will help with gathering supplies for the school." Robin concluded as Lario burst through the door.
"Everyone assembled is getting restless, you need to address them." He asserted as he stood by Ben. "Also two angels from Vastorway were just spotted flying above the school." He added making Paige grumble, he already hated the war but Mael having the audacity to send spies to make them seem as if they are too weak to fight was just too much for him. "I will deal with them." He announced and everyone nodded, the siren walked out gracefully but Ben feared for those two angels, they had just taunted a siren with rage issues.
"Everyone else, let's address the school." Taylor mumbled and the remaining faction leaders walked out the door one after the other, for the good of the school they had to defend it, this was their home and home could take it from them. "If we work fast enough, the school will be prepared." Robin mumbled beside his mate and Devin who walked behind him, indeed the vampire was right, if they got to work now, they could win this war.

Large white wings beat strongly in the breeze of the morning chill, Alarion was flying at eighty percent his full speed but that didn't matter, he knew both Carter and Lucian could keep up, what was bothering him was meeting Connor, the two had their moments before he betrayed him and the school, once upon a time he and the incubus he was hunting shared something special, it was now gone but he couldn't help think about it, he was, after all, hunting him.
The two mystics beside him were silent but he knew their thoughts were also centered around the two they were going after, Connor had once sat a beside either of them in the council hall, they had once shared a joke or two, and now they were enemies on the brink of war, killing a person who was once a comrade wasn't easy but a lot of things weren't, the two of them had helped his brother find weapons that could destroy a world he grew up knowing, a world he loved, he didn't want to lose anyone because Mael hated the world and those in it but it seemed there was no way.
Alarion flew faster, his two companions by his side, they flew above the clouds as to avoid being noticed, past the cities and towns until they got to Enders Cove, it was beautiful, enchanting, as the place borders on the sea and a wild forest, Lucian was the first one to dive down, Alarion went next, and Carter followed, it amazed a lot of people how his wings were large, almost identical to an angel or demon's but instead of feathers or scales like a dragon, it was all metal like the rest of his body.
The landed at the beach where Alarion could feel Connor's presence, the three of them walked toward a small cottage near the beach, it was the perfect beach house, but Alarion could also feel the protection wards that encased the building. "How annoying." Lucian mumbled as he held out his hand, the sand began to move, it all grew until a giant monster made of sand had been created, the dragon had used one of his naturals gifts as an elemental.
"Crush it." Alarion ordered the sand monster and immediately it moved to crush the beach house, when the massive fist was swung, it was met with a barrier that glowed in the light, Lucian made more sand creatures appear, they all assaulted the beach house until the barrier began to crack from the pressure, the sand creatures were now using their given abilities and each blast weakened the barrier until it shattered like glass.
A massive palm hit the beach house crushing it in one blow. "That seems better." Alarion sighed as looked onward, he saw Connor rise from the debris along with the witch he ran off with, Carter held out his hand the two mystics were pulled toward them, there was no point in chasing them when they were already captured. "You're too late." Corey choked out as the wendigo held him down by his bones. "How so?" The angel questioned.
"There were five of those abominations, you secured one, we found two and Mael will soon resurrect them." Connor replied with a smug grin but this information made the three sigh. Alarion knew two could be handled, that's why they had to prevent them from being found. "That's a relief, anything else you would like to tell us before you're damned." Carter questioned the witch who tried to get away from the wendigo. "You can't stop Mael, he's already won the battle while you all enjoyed wine and food." The witch on his knees snapped back making the angel chuckle.
"Never decide if the battle has been won or not before it's actually been fought, you were once a good person Corey I can tell, you just went in over your head." Alarion remarked as his wings glowed a blinding white, his arms held Corey in an embrace as his wings engulfed him. "May any of what you find in death be merciful." Alarion added as Corey choked and shook, the angel was killing him in an embrace, he was also looking through his mind for anything that might be useful and he wasn't disappointed.
Corey took his final breath and the angel released him. "Corey!" Connor yelled as he saw the lifeless body of the witch, his friend, they had vowed to survive but it seems treacherous acts could never be forgiven at Halwright, that they will always haunt you. "Before you die, do you have any words, I can rip everything out of you, if you like." Alarion offered but the incubus shook his head.
"Mael knows Ben can seal the abominations back, his flame can destroy them completely or seal them away completely but the witch doesn't know or he hopes the witch doesn't know, his weakness isn't his love for Ben, it's his strength, Alarion your brother showed me a lot of things, his plans could save us from what's coming b—." Before the incubus could finish Alarion's wing sliced his neck and four bone like structures emerged from the ground and impaled him. "Let's get back, we have to report all that I saw to the others." Alarion announced and all three of them took off as the sand pulled down the corpses of Connor and Corey.

As the three flew away the supreme witch at Vastorway finally revealed himself, he had watched everything and wasn't pleased with the end result, Connor had given vital information to the enemy and now they had to work faster to find the remaining two abominations. He was also intrigued about the fact that Alarion was trying to hide his knowledge of the coming onslaught, Mael had revealed everything to him and the faction leaders of Vastorway, but had Alarion told his own people that there was a being out there, who was capable of wiping them all out if he wanted.
"Oh well, let me go report the abysmal failure that was Connor and Corey, hopefully Mael has made headway in finding the rest." The witch mumbled just as he vanished.
