"I need you to take him to the neo beast dimension, and no matter what happens stay there." The demon instructed Annel who held a sleeping Avian in his arms, he knew he had to do everything he can to make sure that his son was alright, and the hybrid he had also come to consider as family through Ben. "What, why, can't we stay here with you?" Annel argued as Hayes was packing bag after bag, he had actually started with Avian's things, now he was in Annel's room, and without a care stuffed the lot of his things into cases. "You can't, I'm sure whatever Mael is planning, it has us at the centre of it and I can't worry about you and Avian whilst fighting him, he's playing dirty now, and I want you to be safe." Hayes explained after packing Annel's gadgets into its bag.
"But I can help, I'm strong enough to defend myself against him." The hybrid still protested as they finally walked out of his room, Hayes made a swift turn his eyes glowing a dangerous gold and red, Annel knew he had to stand down that instant, Hayes was on the edge and his protests were aggravating him. "Avian can't protect himself against Mael, and I don't want him defenseless, yes you can fight, but you need to protect your brother." Hayes said his final words and Annel knew whenever Hayes referred to Avian as his brother, there was something deep about it, he knew not to argue. "Yes, I understand." He replied as Avian shifted a little. "Be good my little prince, daddy and I will be with you soon." Hayes whispered placing a kiss on Avian's head, who knew the demon would ever love something so much, want to protect it so much, it was a true blessing. "Go." He asserted as several neo beasts appeared from a golden portal and carried the many bags they had, as for Annel, he nodded as tears fell from his eyes, he wanted to help but he knew better. So he walked into the portal, where the sun always shined and it's protection never failed, they would be safe there.
"Father, it is done." One of the beasts adressed Hayes, and he nodded, holding out his hand and the portal closed in an instant, they would be safe now. After taking a deep breath Hayes made his way out of the pethhouse and headed for the council hall, there they would meet to discuss, the way forward. He knew the scourge of the mystic Mael was trying to bring back, he would kill them all in his fury, yet he didn't care, he wondered what had possessed Mael to even do such a thing, as he neared the building, Robin, Theo, Tate, Carter, and Paige appeared from other parts of the school and silently walked into the building, they all knew the situation was dire.
Council Hall.
The air was tense, tinged with more questions than ever. "Where are they?" Lucian asked from his seat as the three witches walked into the hall. "Sorry, we had a headmaster to cure." Ben replied as he and Kyra walked up to them, Lario bowed before he turned to leave but the doors suddenly were blocked by a purple wall, everyone turned to face Paige who was the cause of the conjured wall. "He's more valuable than we all give him credit for, sit by your mate." The siren exclaimed and Lario nodded in appreciation as Carter stood from his seat, and Lario sat first, only for the wendigo to make himself comfortable on his lap, he might've been the stronger one but Lario wore the pants in their mating. "So what do we know?" Tate mumbled as Devin stood up and placed his hand on the oval table, it moved to his will showing images above, of what he had found out. "I was looking around in the headmaster's office, it was spotless really, save for the open hidden cabinet in the wall, I then manipulated the walls to make a mirage of what was inside and it showed a black triquetra key, professor Wyne then examined what he'd shown me and also explained how the vault of sacred objects hidden by the angel order had been destroyed, their most sacred and actively guarded artifact had been stolen, the mamoria of Khilthu." The ghost explained as Alarion gasped.
He had effectively captured the attention of everyone in the room. "It's a dagger and tea pot, the artifacts, used to seal Meh— in his prison, two of the six artifacts were given to the angel order, the other four to the witches and demons as far as I know." Alarion explained having known not to say the name of the creature, it gave him power. "So that's why Mael attacked the headmaster, he had the key to the vault, no wonder he had to fight, but it seems he was overwhelmed." Robin added but a few of the supremes seemed to disagree. "Mael might be strong yes, but he couldn't have escaped the headmaster's wrath without getting injured, he will need time to recover." Kyra explained for everyone who nodded in agreement with his assertion. "Therefore we need to make a plan, he will go after the other artifacts, to open that prison, as both you, Ben and Hayes are members of the royal families, you must know where the artifacts are right?" Tate exclaimed with a hopeful look at the two.
"Only Kaiser would know and only Demetrius or Hayes' father would know where they are, but as for the witches, we knew one day someone would try open the prison so one of the artifacts was destroyed, the other entrusted to the king, it will slow Mael down in getting the prison open, but make no mistake, he will open that prison, in his deranged mind he will find a way." Ben explained as his eyes were overtaken by a golden glow and another piece of information through Vision was revealed. "Even if he has to kill the whole school." He added shocking everyone before he clutched onto Hayes in their seat. "Ben what was that?" Hayes gently asked his mate who leaned into him. "The artifacts if all gathered in the same place, need an enormous amount of mana to be activated, and I'm sure Mael will use Halwright just for that purpose." The witch explained as a cold silence went across the hall, Kyra was the first one to shake off his frozen stupor. "We need to act now, evacuate the school, warn the others and prepare for anything." He announced as everyone stood up. "We'll all go to our dorms and break the news, by nightfall evacuation will have started." Taylor who had been silent the whole meeting announced as he turned to leave, Ben and Hayes knew what he was going through, they knew to leave him alone but soon, he'd have to go where Annel and Avian were.
Benjamin Syre.
Ben knew Mael would attack Kaiser if he truly wanted the other artifacts, it's why he needed to do something, before his family was hurt, they had hurt him yes but they were still his family. "I need you to warn Kaiser." He mumbled next to Kyra as they stood by the front doors of the witch dorm watching the witches evacuate, it was evident in their eyes that they wanted to fight, defend their school but the supremes couldn't allow it, Ben couldn't allow his people to be exploited and killed. "Ben, you have to talk to him at some point." Kyra argued making Ben chuckle, he knew that, but that day wasn't any time soon. "I know, but not today, I will watch over them, until the last one, go." Ben explained and luckily for him Kyra didn't argue. Ben stood there, the faded noise of cars and the parents who had come to take their children home slowly making a crescendo of peaceful night, with the many victories and changes Halwright had, parents had changed how they viewed their children, a lot of them had been accepted back and Ben was glad it had happened, it was no longer an outcast school, but a school for all those who needed a home.
"I'm going to miss them." Lario interrupted his thoughts as he came to stand by him, the witch boy had refused to leave since he wanted to help Ben but soon, Ben knew, he would be dragging him into the neo dimension and keeping him there till the danger was over. "I will too, but we need to make sure everyone is safe and that Mael won't use them as a mana battery for whatever plan he's made up." Ben explained as he waved the students off, the evacuation was almost completed. Taylor and Alfin made their way toward Ben, they seemed sad for some reason. "What's wrong?" Ben questioned the two boys who looked at him trying not to seem so sad. "It's either I call Hayes and he forces you to say it, or I call your mom to come get you." Ben threatened and Taylor gasped in disbelief. "You wouldn't dad." He argued. "Try me." Ben countered earning a snicker from Lario.
"Does Alfin really have to go?" He whined and Ben scoffed. "What did your papa Hayes say?" He asked as Ben moved to the double doors of the witch dorm, it was now empty, so he waved his hand over it, casting a spell of preservation and locking the doors. "He said we both either go home, or the neo dimension, which I know is a one way trip since you instructed the neo beasts not to escort us out, I want to be here, where the action is." Taylor explained in protest as Ben scoffed again. "If it makes you feel any better, Lario is going there too." Ben offered and the witch next to him just shrugged he had no strength left to argue. "Really!" Alfin perked up and the witch nodded, Ben was amused by the whole exchange as he now made his way across the school to the demon dorm, with three mystics in tow. "Fine, if you think it's for the best." Taylor finally conceded and Ben just smiled. "Go check on the others if they need help." He told the three and they walked off in the now empty school which was protected by the golden barriers above.
Ben could feel him around him though, he just couldn't make contact since the barrier was now preventing it, Mael was watching and Ben knew at some point he would need to confront him, but that day wasn't near, right now he just wanted to be with the father of his children, so he made his way to Hayes, only he could comfort him.
