This company was founded with Olivia's money and Benjamin's effort.
The Gray family was wealthy, and they didn't care about Benjamin's meager earnings.
Benjamin's current success was all thanks to Olivia.
To avoid putting pressure on Benjamin, she had taken a job at the magazine and given him the CEO position.
Though she rarely managed company affairs, she occasionally came to check things and always cared deeply about the business because she loved Benjamin.
When Benjamin needed money, she provided it.
When Benjamin needed connections, she introduced them.
But now, it seemed he had forgotten all her contributions over the years.
Since she'd decided on divorce, she needed to withdraw her investment and sell her shares.
She had hired a lawyer to handle the specifics.
"Miss Gray, when should we present this share withdrawal document to Mr. Monroe?"
"After I've left."
Olivia bought gifts for every employee who had worked alongside her in building the company.
Hearing she was leaving, the employees were sad.
"Mrs. Monroe, you're just leaving like this? Why isn't Mr. Monroe here with you?"
"Yes, Mrs. Monroe, does Mr. Monroe know? Why isn't he trying to stop you?"
Olivia remembered what Benjamin had said yesterday—that he could manage without her.
Well, she wanted to see if he really could.
The secretary secretly called Benjamin. "Mr. Monroe, your wife is at the company. She—"
"She has time to go to the company but not to come to the hospital and apologize to Stella? We're already divorced, so you don't need to tell me about her affairs anymore!"
Before the secretary could finish, Benjamin hung up.
At the same moment, Olivia's phone pinged with a message from Stella.
She had sent a photo of Benjamin holding the baby and embracing Stella, his smile blindingly bright.
[See how happy we are as a family of three? Benjamin said we're getting our marriage certificate tomorrow. Olivia, your seven years with Benjamin meant nothing in the end. That child in your belly will just be a fatherless bastard! I'm the future Mrs. Monroe, the CEO's wife! If you have any dignity, you'll move out of the Monroe house and get as far away as possible!]
Olivia turned off her phone, blocked Stella, and then said goodbye to the employees with a smile.
Benjamin waited at the hospital for two days but never saw Olivia come to apologize.
In the past, she would have rushed to the hospital immediately, afraid of making him angry.
But now, a full two days had passed without any sign of her.
He checked his phone again and again, but Olivia hadn't even sent him a single text.
A vague uneasiness grew in his heart, but he still didn't take it seriously.
Seeing him staring out the window lost in thought, Stella hugged him from behind.
"Benjamin, I'm sorry. Am I causing problems between you and Olivia? You know I just want my baby to have proper legal status, nothing more. I don't care whether we get married or how long we stay married. As long as you care about me, nothing else matters."
Hearing this, Benjamin felt a surge of sympathy. He turned and embraced her.
"Silly girl, I promised to marry you, and I will. We'll go this afternoon, okay?"
"But what about Olivia—"
Benjamin said with certainty: "She loves me too much to leave me. I'm confident about that much."
Stella secretly raised an eyebrow. "Is that so? That's good then."
