The butler thought that since Olivia hadn't terminated the pregnancy, perhaps she still loved Benjamin.
And seeing Benjamin's state, he seemed to have truly repented, so the butler decided to help him.
"Really? Liv didn't abort our baby!"
This was probably the best news Benjamin had heard in days.
Tears streaming down his face, he said, "Thank you, Sir! Thank you so much!!"
"I just think the young miss still has feelings for you. Here's the address—go find her. But she's more than five months pregnant now, so it might be better not to disturb her."
His hand trembling as he held the address, Benjamin expressed his profound gratitude before rushing to the island where Olivia was staying.
Since arriving on the island, Olivia's mood had improved considerably.
Though life there was quiet, waking up each morning to birdsong and gazing at the azure sea brought her a profound sense of peace.
Her days consisted simply of walks around the island, enjoying the sea breeze and basking in the sunshine.
It had been a long time since she'd thought about Benjamin. Before, her entire life had revolved around him.
Only now did she realize how much time she had wasted.
Her greatest wish now was to safely deliver her baby.
To better care for Olivia and the baby, her parents had hired new staff for the island, including a chef and housekeepers.
While taking care of pregnant Stella, Benjamin had learned to cook. With Butler's help, he successfully joined the villa staff on the island as Olivia's chef.
Not wanting to upset Olivia, he never showed his face, just quietly prepared her three meals a day and silently looked after her and their unborn child.
Sometimes he would secretly watch her from afar. When she smiled, he smiled too.
When she looked sad or upset, he felt her pain as well.
Of course, Olivia knew nothing about this.
Finally, after carrying the baby full term, she gave birth to a son.
The night she went into labor, Benjamin stood guard outside the door all night.
When he heard the baby's first cry, he broke down in tears.
He wanted to rush in immediately to see the child, but Olivia's parents suddenly arrived, so he stayed hidden.
In the days that followed, he planned to continue watching over Olivia and their child from a distance.
Then unexpectedly, he received a phone call.
"Hello?"
"Benjamin."
Stella's cold voice came through the line. Benjamin frowned, not wanting to engage with her.
"What do you want? We have nothing to do with each other anymore."
"I saw your social media post. Congratulations on your baby boy."
Benjamin had indeed posted something—just a photo he'd secretly taken.
He'd been so excited but had no one to share it with, so he'd posted it online.
He'd planned to delete it right away, but Stella had seen it before he could.
Her sarcastic tone made Benjamin extremely uncomfortable.
"What do you really want to say?"
"Benjamin, do you know what I've been through these past few months?" Stella's voice suddenly grew somber. "Did you know I lost my baby?"
"What?" Benjamin's hand holding the phone trembled. "How did that happen?!"
Although it wasn't his child, or even Jake's, Benjamin still cared about the baby. He never expected that in just a few short months, the child would be gone.
"You abandoned her, and she died. So this is all your fault."
"Stella, have you lost your mind? That was your child, not mine. If she's really gone, it's because of you—the irresponsible mother!"
"Haha!" Stella suddenly burst into laughter. "Benjamin, you said it yourself that my daughter was your daughter too. You even had her call you daddy. What changed? Now that you have your own child, you don't want my daughter anymore?"
Benjamin sensed something was off with Stella. He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself, and asked kindly, "Did something happen to you? The day we divorced, didn't you say you were going to marry that Mr. Thomas? If you're married now, just live your life—why bother causing trouble for me?"
"You have the nerve to say that! If it weren't for you, how would I have ended up like this? I thought that fat guy was a good man, but he never intended to marry me—he just treated me as a plaything! My baby died the day he sent me to someone else's bed! Benjamin, you ruined my life! After destroying me like this, you actually got back together with Olivia and had a child with her!"
"I hate you, Benjamin. I hate Olivia too! Why does she get to have a better life? Why can she still live so well even after I stole her man? I won't let you two get away with this, ever!"
With that, Stella hung up.
Benjamin hadn't expected things to turn out this way, but he didn't dwell on it too much.
After all, no matter how much trouble Stella tried to cause, she couldn't reach them on this private island.
While he felt guilty about her child, right now he was overwhelmed by the joy of his own child's birth.
He deleted his post and silently vowed to protect Olivia and their son from now on.
