The day before the wedding, Harper appeared.
"Zelda! Are you really going to marry him? Don’t forget his identity! He can't give you happiness!"
Early in the morning, I heard Harper’s voice outside my door.
At first, my parents were trying to drive him away, but he stood there, completely unmoving.
"What does it matter to you who I marry?" I said and waited impatiently for him to continue being shameless.
"I could marry you right now! I could divorce her right away!"
When Harper said this, Grace happened to walk by and overheard.
"What did you say? Harper! You don’t want me anymore?"
I felt a headache coming on. How did these two bizarre people end up together? Just as I watched, Grace was about to start crying again. Harper, realizing his words had been overheard, suddenly didn’t know what to do.
However, Grace was not about to miss an opportunity to stir trouble. In an instant, her eyes turned red and she directly knelt in front of my house.
"Zelda! You're about to get married, please, don't try to seduce my husband anymore!"
It was early in the morning and people in the villa district were out for their morning walk. As soon as she started causing a scene, a crowd quickly gathered around us.
"What’s going on?"
"I heard the Frost Family girl is seducing a married man!"
"That's disgusting!"
Seeing that her goal had been achieved, Grace revealed a sinister smile.
I spoke up directly, “Grace, you might be mistaken. It’s your husband who keeps coming to my house to cause trouble. If you don’t believe me, I have the surveillance footage."
Grace looked up and saw a surveillance camera directly facing us.
I didn’t give her a chance to continue speaking. "Also, it seems like your husband doesn’t love you. He wants to divorce you. Instead of begging me here, you should think of ways to save your marriage!"
After I said that, Grace's face turned ashen.
She quickly rushed over to Harper, but he shoved her away with one swift motion.
Seeing that this farce was almost over, I shooed away the onlookers.
Tomorrow was the big day and I didn’t want these two idiots to affect my mood.
With this drama coming to an end, our wedding was about to begin.
I never expected Axel to make such a big deal out of it. First, he announced our wedding on the big screens throughout the entire city of Calbery. Then, he set off fireworks in the suburbs all night long.
This action instantly made me the center of attention and many people were saying that not marrying Harper was a good thing for me.
However, on that very day, something happened with the Scott Family again.
According to a friend, Harper's parents had invited some big shots over for dinner, hoping to pave the way for his future. They had carefully prepared a top-tier seafood feast, but before the dishes even reached the table, Grace replaced everything with cheap seafood.
She then proudly bragged to Harper about how much money she had saved.
It was said that, at that moment, Harper's parents turned pale with rage and one by one, the important guests stormed out in anger.
Even Harper himself left home.
When I heard this news, I couldn’t help but laugh.
Some people’s perspectives were as narrow as a frog in a well. When faced with big occasions, they were simply unfit to take the stage.
This was Harper’s own choice. Everything was a result of his own actions.
But these things were no longer my concern. My top priority now was to get married.
I didn’t expect that this wedding would truly become an unforgettable moment for me.
Early the next morning, a long convoy of cars made its way through the most bustling streets of Calbery.
And I became the most beautiful bride of the day.
When Axel smiled and held my hand as we walked into the hotel, everything at that moment became so real, so beautiful.
