                    He hurriedly called me back.
He said that when he called me, he was handling the remaining matters, so things were a bit chaotic over there.
When he saw the location I sent him, he immediately rushed over with people to find me.
When he said this, I realized that his body had numerous injuries, probably over a dozen.
I asked him, "Does it hurt?"
He sneered and said, "These little injuries? They don't hurt at all!"
For some reason, I suddenly felt incredibly happy.
But as I laughed, I started crying.
I just realized what it felt like to be truly cared for, especially by a reckless second-generation heir, who could suddenly grow up overnight like this for my sake.
Perhaps this was love.
Later, during our conversation, I found out that within just a few days, the situation in the Scott Family had changed drastically.
It turned out, when Grace found Harper, he was in bed with another woman. At first, I thought it was arranged by Axel, but it wasn't. He had found the woman himself.
After Grace found out, she caused a huge scene at the Scott Family home. Harper asked her for a divorce, but Grace was adamant and refused to agree.
The two of them ended up fighting each other.
Later, for some unknown reason, Grace ended up having an affair with Harper's father.
When Harper found out about this, he was furious, but he only dared to feel anger towards his father. He couldn't express his anger directly towards him and could only vent all his frustration on Grace.
During this period, there was another tragic event. When Harper's mother found out about everything, she couldn't bear the shock and passed away from a sudden heart attack.
Being a child who grew up in privilege, how could Harper handle such a blow? He completely lost control and went mad.
He tortured Grace to the point of no return and locked her in the basement. When the police found her, she was already in a delirious state. When they approached her, she just lay there, helpless and unresponsive.
Although she was pitiful, when thinking about all the things she had done, it was clear that the saying "those who are pitiful must have something detestable about them" applied to her.
As for the way Harper acted toward me and Axel, it was purely driven by his hatred for Axel. He believed that Axel had "stolen" me from him.
When I heard Axel tell me all of this, I suddenly felt incredibly lucky. If I had married into the Scott Family, I couldn't even imagine what kind of life I would be living right now.
Lost in thought, I turned to look at the man in front of me, who was scrambling around in the kitchen. He was cursing under his breath while cooking and then he even turned around, flashing me a mischievous grin.
It dawned on me that not every marriage was the same. I realized, at that moment, that I was truly, completely happy.
