Jisung sat in the café, still trying to calm his racing heart. Felix turned to him with a knowing grin, watching as Changbin and Minho went to grab their free beers.
"Why are you acting like that around Minho?" Felix teased, his smirk only growing.
Jisung instantly turned bright red. "I don't know... something about him just... pulls me," he admitted, voice barely above a whisper.
Felix giggled. "Well, stop being weird and get a grip." He gave Jisung a firm pat on the back.
Jisung swallowed hard, nodding. Fuck, he had terrible rizz.
Minho and Changbin returned, beers in hand. Minho set one down in front of Jisung before settling into his seat.
"So, how old are you?" he asked, taking a casual sip of his drink.
Jisung smiled. "I'm nineteen. You?"
Minho smiled back. "I'm twenty."
Jisung nodded, about to take a sip before Minho spoke again. "Hey... uh, sorry if I seemed rude earlier. You know... about the squirrel thing."
Jisung quickly shook his head. "No, you're fine. I liked it."
Minho blinked, caught off guard. A faint blush dusted his cheeks as he looked away, hiding behind his beer as he took another sip.
As the night stretched on, the tension between them melted into something more comfortable. Conversations flowed easily, laughter filling the space between sips of beer.
"I would've never guessed you had an obsession with cats. Three? Seriously?" Jisung laughed, shaking his head in disbelief.
Minho chuckled. "Yeah. You wanna meet them?"
Jisung froze mid-laugh. "What?"
Minho's eyes widened in realization. "No-I mean-not like-" He scrambled for words. "I didn't mean it like that-"
Jisung, face burning, gave a small nod. "I mean... I would like that..."
Minho, just as red, cleared his throat. "Now?"
Jisung nearly collapsed on the spot. "Sure. Yeah."
Minho nodded, standing up from his seat, and Jisung quickly followed.
As they headed for the door, they waved goodbye to Felix and Changbin-who were grinning like they had just witnessed history being made.
Outside, the cool night air wrapped around them as Minho chuckled, shoving his hands into the pockets of his onesie.
"Sorry if I sound awkward," he mumbled, eyes focused ahead.
Jisung quickly shook his head. "No, trust me, I'm way more awkward than you... I literally called myself Beyoncé." He scrunched his nose, cringing at the memory.
Minho chuckled, continuing to walk, and Jisung hurried to keep up.
"I don't mean this in a one-night stand way, by the way," Minho suddenly said.
Jisung froze. "I never said that."
Minho simply nodded, keeping his pace steady, and Jisung quickly fell back in step beside him.
But he couldn't stop glancing at Minho-mesmerized.
Jisung had always believed in stories about love at first sight. He loved love, even though he had never experienced it himself. It was something he dreamed about, something he hoped for.
And somehow, Minho-a guy he had just met, wearing a ridiculous bunny onesie-made him feel those things.
It was insane. Completely irrational.
But there was something about him. Something that made Jisung's heart feel like it already knew Minho's.
Jisung smiled softly before reaching out and grabbing Minho's hand.
Minho tensed for a second, a blush creeping up his neck-but he didn't pull away.
"So, you're a dancer?" Jisung asked, giving his hand a light squeeze.
Minho nodded. "Yeah, I'd like to become a professional one day." His voice held a quiet determination.
Jisung's smile grew. "I like to dance too, although I never took classes."
Minho perked up at that, his eyes lighting up. "Really?"
Jisung nodded, feeling a little shy. "Yeah."
They got lost in conversation-talking about dancing, their favorite things, and the little details that made them who they were.
Laughter filled the night air, their hands still loosely intertwined, neither of them acknowledging it but neither letting go.
Somehow, it felt right. Warm. Like they were meant to be here, walking side by side, learning about each other under the quiet glow of the city lights.
Minho led Jisung inside his apartment building, and Jisung couldn't help but smile at how pretty it was-the warm lighting, the clean, modern design.
Once inside the elevator, he noticed something else.
Minho still hadn't let go of his hand.
Instead, he casually used his other hand to press the button for his floor, as if holding Jisung's hand was the most natural thing in the world.
Jisung's heart stuttered, but he didn't dare mention it. He didn't want him to let go.
Minho glanced at Jisung, a small smile playing on his lips as he gave his hand a gentle squeeze.
"I'm sorry if my cats get shy..." he mumbled, almost like a nervous habit.
Jisung let out a soft laugh and gave Minho's shoulder a playful shove. "Stop apologizing."
Minho chuckled, shaking his head. "Force of habit."
Jisung just smiled, feeling warmth spread through his chest.
