Jisung paced around the house, his anger spilling into every shaky breath. His voice trembled, thick with frustration and hurt. "ARE YOU SERIOUS, MINHO?" he shouted, tears burning his eyes.
Minho stood frozen, guilt weighing heavy on his chest. "I'm sorry, baby. I'm so sorry. I wanted to tell her, but I got scared!" His voice cracked as he reached out, desperate to pull Jisung into his arms.
But Jisung flinched away, his eyes shining with betrayal. "You promised me you'd tell your mom we're dating! It's been a year!" His voice broke, raw and desperate.
Minho swallowed hard, his own pain evident in the way his shoulders slumped. "I know... I'm sorry. I'm just really scared of her, Jisung. She's religious... she would never approve." His words came out in a choked whisper, barely able to face the reality of them.
Jisung let out a broken sound as he sank to the floor, his body curling in on itself. "We don't need her approval to love each other!" His voice wavered, thick with emotion.
Minho crouched down beside him, his own heart shattering at the sight. "I know... I know, baby. I'm so sorry."
Minho held Jisung tightly, his arms wrapped around him as if he could shield him from the pain. Jisung sobbed against his chest, but he didn't pull away-he just clung to him, his fingers gripping Minho's shirt like it was the only thing keeping him together.
"Promise me you'll tell her..." Jisung choked out, his voice barely above a whisper. "I need you to promise me."
Minho swallowed the lump in his throat and nodded, tightening his hold. "I promise."
Felix laughed as Changbin did a ridiculous dance, shaking his head at his husband's antics. But his laughter faded just as quickly as it had come.
"They'd probably be too focused on each other to even notice you acting all stupid right now," he murmured, a bittersweet smile tugging at his lips.
Changbin plopped down beside him, his expression softening. "Babe, they're here with us. I can feel it."
Felix looked at him for a moment before nodding, forcing his smile back into place. "I know they are."
Changbin laughed as he stood up, walking over to grab a familiar picture book-the one they knew all too well, the one they flipped through almost every day.
"Remember this?" he chuckled, settling back beside Felix as he opened the book.
The moment Felix saw the picture, a giggle escaped him. Jisung was holding up a middle finger at Minho, while Minho stood beside him, arms crossed, striking one of his signature dramatic poses.
"They were so silly," Felix whispered, his thumb tracing over the image with a fond smile.
Changbin nodded, swallowing back the lump in his throat. "They were perfect."
"FUCK YOU! FUCK YOU! FUCK YOU!" Jisung screamed, his voice raw as he tried to storm out of Minho's apartment.
Minho caught his wrist, desperation in his tear-filled eyes. "Jisung, I tried to tell her! But it's like she knew what I was about to say!" he pleaded, his voice cracking.
Jisung was a sobbing mess, his chest rising and falling with heavy breaths. "You fucking promised me!" he choked out, yanking his arm, but Minho held on, breaking down as he tried to stop him.
"I know! I just need time! Why don't you understand?!" Minho shouted, his own frustration spilling over.
Jisung froze, his shoulders slumping as he stared at the floor. His voice came out quiet, almost broken. "I gave you a year, Minho..."
Minho swallowed hard, nodding quickly. "I know..." He reached for Jisung's hands, gripping them tightly. "Let's do it now. Together."
Jisung nodded, his teary eyes searching Minho's. "You have me, Minho. We don't need her approval. We don't need to hide what we have from the world." His fingers brushed gently over Minho's cheek, offering warmth amidst the storm.
Minho wiped his tears, his breath shaky. "I don't want you to feel like I'm hiding you. I love you so much, please don't ever think that..." His voice broke as fresh tears streamed down his face.
Jisung didn't hesitate-he pulled Minho into a tight embrace, holding him like he never wanted to let go. "I know you do, baby..." he whispered, pressing his face into Minho's shoulder.
