Felix gently placed the flower on Jisung's grave, while Changbin did the same with Minho's. The soft breeze seemed to carry their unspoken words as they stood together in quiet reflection.
"Do you think they talk shit about us up there?" Changbin asked, his tone light but filled with a touch of curiosity.
Felix burst out laughing, unable to hold it in. "I know Jisung is probably laughing his ass off every time I cry about him," he said between giggles, shaking his head at the thought.
Changbin chuckled, a fondness in his eyes. "Fucking idiots," he whispered, remembering the chaos and joy they'd brought to their lives.
Felix smiled warmly, his heart full of love and bittersweet memories. "My favorite idiots," he whispered, his voice soft with affection.
Changbin nodded, shaking his head with a fond smile. "Yeah. Mine too."
Jisung lay on Felix's bed, his phone pressed close to his face as he Facetimed Minho. "When are you back, baby?" he asked eagerly, a soft smile tugging at his lips.
"My plane is almost here, precious," Minho winked into the screen, his playful grin evident even through the phone.
Jisung giggled, his eyes bright. "I'll see you soon, baby," he whispered, feeling a warmth spread in his chest.
Minho chuckled, blowing a kiss through the phone. "I love you," he said softly, his voice filled with affection.
Jisung sent a smooch back, his heart full. "I love you too, baby," he replied, before hanging up the call, already counting down the moments until they'd be together again.
Jisung was editing a picture of him and Minho, planning to frame it for their apartment, when Changbin suddenly burst into the room, his eyes brimming with tears.
"Lixie, Jisung!" Changbin cried, collapsing into sobs, and in that moment, Jisung felt his world crumble.
Felix immediately stood up, rushing to his boyfriend. "Hey, what's wrong?" he asked, concern flooding his voice as Changbin looked at Jisung, his face shattered.
Jisung's heart raced with fear. "What is it?" he asked, his voice trembling.
Changbin looked down at the floor, his body shaking. "Minho's-" He choked on the words, unable to continue, and Felix gently patted his back.
But Jisung couldn't hold it in anymore. His anger and panic flared. "WHAT IS MINHO?" he yelled, his voice rising in desperation. Changbin flinched, his tears streaming even harder.
"His plane crashed!" Changbin finally choked out, his voice barely audible.
Jisung froze. Everything stopped. The world, as he knew it, ended in that moment.
Felix broke down, rushing over to his best friend, but Jisung was still frozen, his body unresponsive. "Jisungie!" Felix cried, wrapping his arms around him tightly. But Jisung couldn't think. He couldn't move. He couldn't breathe.
"YOU'RE LYING! YOU'RE FUCKING LYING!" Jisung screamed, his voice full of pain and disbelief. His words were desperate, like he was trying to tear the truth apart.
Changbin broke down even more, tears pouring from his eyes as he reached for Jisung. "JISUNG, I AM SO SORRY!" he yelled, his voice raw with agony.
Jisung collapsed to the floor, his body shaking uncontrollably. His hands gripped the ground as the world spun around him. His Minho-his precious Minho-he couldn't process it. He couldn't wrap his mind around the reality. His Minho... his Minho... his Minho...
The weight of the words suffocated him, and Jisung trembled, his whole body wracked with pain, unable to comprehend the loss.
Felix and Changbin tried to hold Jisung, but he violently pushed them off, his arms flailing as if trying to escape the reality that was suffocating him. "STOP LYING! STOP FUCKING LYING!" he screamed, his voice raw with anguish as he scrambled backward across the floor.
His mind was spiraling, unable to accept what he'd just heard. "My Minho... my Minho..." His breath hitched, his chest rising and falling with sharp, desperate gasps. "IT'S NOT TRUE! MY MINHO-HE'S HERE! HE'S HERE!" he screamed at the top of his lungs, his eyes wild, filled with an unbearable hope that everything, somehow, wasn't true.
Felix, tears streaming down his face, broke down even more, desperate to reach him. "SUNGIE, PLEASE CALM DOWN!" Felix cried, his hands trembling as he tried to grasp Jisung's arms, but Jisung recoiled, pushing him away in his frenzied state.
Changbin stepped back, wiping his tears furiously, his face full of helplessness. His heart was breaking watching his best friend like this, but there was nothing he could do to stop the storm inside Jisung. It was too much-too real for him to accept.
Jisung burst out of their house, his feet pounding the pavement as he rushed down the street. He had to get to their home-his home, the place where Minho would be waiting for him. It was a lie. It had to be a lie. Minho would be there, just like he always was, smiling at him with open arms.
His chest tightened as he pushed through the darkness, his mind desperately trying to hold onto that one thought, that one belief: Minho is waiting for me. The world around him felt distant, disconnected. Nothing made sense except the need to reach their apartment, to see Minho standing there, to feel the warmth of his embrace.
Jisung's breath came in ragged gasps, but he refused to slow down. He couldn't.
When Jisung finally reached their apartment, his hand trembled as he fumbled with the door handle. His heart pounded in his chest, each beat louder than the last. He forced the door open, stepping inside, expecting to see Minho's familiar figure, his smile, his warmth.
But instead, he was met with emptiness. The apartment was silent, cold, and still. The air felt hollow. His eyes immediately searched the room, hoping for a sign that this was all a cruel mistake, a dream he could wake up from.
Then he saw them-Minho's three beloved cats, staring at him with wide eyes, their fur ruffled and ears drooping. The emptiness of the room was suffocating.
"Minho..." Jisung whispered, his voice breaking as tears welled in his eyes. He sank to the floor, his body trembling, his vision blurred by grief. The weight of the silence hit him all at once.
My Minho...
He couldn't breathe. He couldn't think. His world shattered around him as he sat there, alone, in the place that was supposed to feel like home.
