He leaned over the sink, hands holding onto edges of the sink as his eyes were fixated on the slightly broken mirror in the bathroom, at the sight in front of him.
Glossy eyes stared right into the reflection in the mirror with a broken look, lips wobbling as he took in his bottom lip and bit hard onto it, almost tearing off the skin. He tilted his head to the side and he analysed his face, mind repeating all the words he has ever heard in the past. A fucking waste of space.
The look in his eyes was blank, almost as if he was dead already. Tears rolled down his pale cheeks as he kept staring at his own reflection without a blink. You're a worthless slut, a fucking whore. You don't deserve happiness nor love. It's all just an illusion.
It only exists for those who are born with luck. Not for those who are cursed to have a miserable life.
Jeongguk dropped his head, squeezing his eyes shut as he let the tears flow, a sob escaping his lips, his grip on the edges of the sink tightening as his breath hitched slightly. He then glanced to his side, scanning the bathroom for a moment before looking up at the mirror, at his own reflection that he now, began despising.
His eyes were now bloodshot, cheeks stained with tears and nose slightly red as he sniffled. Jeongguk harshly swallowed the lump down his throat, a ferocious look now etching on his face as new tear drops filled his eyes, following the others rolling down his slightly red cheeks and trickling down his chin.
A loud growl of effort left his lips as he lifted his fist and swung it straight at the mirror, at his own reflection, allowing the glass to shatter to a million peices, flying back to him and piercing into his skin.
Jeongguk hissed in pain, watching the blood trickle down his hand, dripping from his knuckles and down to the tiled floor. The once spotless floor now decorated in his own blood, made him feel oddly satisfied.
The feeling of pain rushing through his body sent him to a state of nostalgia. All the other times he'd cut through his skin to ease the pain in his heart, reminding him of the one person he despised with all his heart, but at the same time, adored so much to the point that it hurt to let go.
But he was no stranger to the feeling of heartbreak and the pain of always being let go. The pain of being abandoned grew so much in the years that it almost became unbearable to live, and although he knew it was the worst way to ease his pain, it felt so right.
Jeongguk turned to lean back over the wall, eyes never leaving his wounded hand as his back slid down the wall, tears leaving his eyes on repeat and dropping onto the now blood stained floor covered with the peices of the broken glass.
Jeongguk felt crazy. He felt like he was losing his sanity with all those loud voices screaming terrible words in his mind, leaving the boy in a screaming and a sobbing mess.
The young broken boy screamed in agony, pulling his hands up into his hair and harshly tugging at his raven locks, eyes squeezed shut and tears pouring out of his eyes like an endless river, screaming his heart out to ease the pain and all the thoughts messing his mind.
"Excuse me, miss. The boss is currently busy right now. Who are you?"
"And who gave you the right to stop me, boy? I'm his fiancè, I can meet him whenever I want."
"I'm sorry, Ms. Lee. But he's really busy right now-"
"Shut up! Fucking moron! You need to be fired immidiately for daring to talk to me this way!"
"There's nothing between us. You're my assistant and I'm your boss, as simple as that."
"But-"
"Whatever we had was only for a night, Jeongguk. We're nothing! I've a fiancè for fuck's sake! Stop being delusional and get out!"
"Jeongguk!" The door flew open, almost falling out of its hinges as a familiar blonde male rushed into the room with a worried look etched on his face.
"Jeongguk! What the hell?! You're bleeding!" Jimin panicked, examining the aforementioned male's hand before looking up, locking eyes with the already broken boy, sniffling softly, lips bitten and eyes puffy from all the crying.
"Jeongguk-ah. . ." The blonde let out weakly, voice laced with sympathy as he pulled the younger male for a hug, embracing the younger in his small arms. "It's gonna be okay."
"Hyung," Jeongguk attempted to speak, a loud sob escaping his lips as he snuggled into the male's chest, soaking his clothes, however, the older paid no mind to it.
"He says...he says I'm overthinking." Jeongguk's voice was muffled as he buried his face into the elder's chest. "He made me fall for him...he made me hope..." His voice broke at the end as he held back a cry.
"He's a waste of time, gguk. Move on from him, he's engaged." Jimin attempted to explain, running his fingers through the younger's hair in an attempt to calm him down.
"He kissed me...b-but...at the end of the day, he goes back to her..." Jeongguk sniffled, "It'll never be me..."
"You don't deserve to be happy." His father's voice rang along with the voices buzzing in his mind as he sobbed hard, fingers clutching the older's shirt tight in order to stop the voices. But in vain, he couldn't stop the voices from ringing inside his head like an unstoppable bell.
"It's okay, It's going to be okay. You'll move on from him." Jimin muttered softly, chin placed over the boy's head as he rubbed his back to comfort the younger.
