The morning sun stretched across the village, casting long shadows over the training grounds. The air was crisp, filled with the sounds of clashing steel and grunts of exertion.
Drakon moved among the soldiers with purpose. Training ran deep—skills hard-earned in battles past. But here, surrounded by villagers turned warriors, he had a new role: teacher.
He demonstrated precise sword strikes, blocking techniques, and footwork. His movements were fluid and confident, inspiring the hesitant fighters around him.
“Keep your guard up,” he commanded. “Never let your eyes stray. Your sword is an extension of your will.”
The villagers practiced, sweat rolling down their faces, muscles trembling with the strain.
Dalen also introduced them to firearms salvaged from his jet’s wreckage—simple rifles and pistols. He showed how to load, aim, and fire.
“Don’t rely solely on steel,” he warned. “The enemy will have machines. Guns can level the field.”
Avera watched nearby, admiring Dalen’s calm authority and dedication. She trained alongside the warriors, mastering her newfound light powers, but she knew Dalen’s role was just as vital.
At the end of the day, Marah gathered the soldiers.
“We fight not just with weapons, but with heart. Remember that. Protect each other. And trust in what we stand for.”
As the sun dipped low, the village felt stronger—ready to face the storm on the horizon.
