Deep beneath the X-3 military compound, a heavy steel door hissed open, releasing mist and a low hum that vibrated through the walls. Inside, cloaked in darkness and humming electricity, lay the facility’s most secret weapon.
Project Revenant.
General Ryker Voss entered, flanked by his top scientists and security. He stopped before a large, transparent chamber filled with a dark blue fluid. Suspended within it… was something no longer fully human.
Eight feet tall. Metallic limbs fused with bone. Pulsing veins glowing red beneath pale skin. The creature’s eyes were shut, but even in stillness, its presence was terrifying.
Dr. Halvyr, the lead scientist, whispered, “It was built from the remains of soldiers killed near the in the first war. Infused with harvested DNA from the blood line.”
Ryker stared into the tank.
“And it’s loyal?”
“As long as it breathes, it obeys.”
Ryker smirked. “Then it’s time we stop playing with toys. The tribes want war. We give them a storm.”
He turned to his command unit.
“Deploy Revenant in two days. Send the rest of the machines with him. I want their leader captured alive.”
The chamber behind him began to hum louder, and the Revenant’s eyes snapped open—glowing with rage and pain.
