                    The sky cracked open.
The roar of engines filled the valley as the first wave of chemical soldiers dropped from the jets in black pods. They crashed into the earth like falling stars—then burst open, releasing soldiers armed with plasma rifles, reinforced blades, and bodies enhanced with volatile chemical power.
But the villagers were ready.
From the cliffs, Avera raised her hand. “NOW!”
Fire traps ignited.
The ground beneath the invaders exploded, sending molten rocks into the air, tearing apart formations. Arrows tipped with gunpowder screamed through the sky, striking the soldiers and erupting into blasts of fire and shrapnel.
Dalen stood at the front line, wielding a mounted machine gun salvaged from the Jet wreck. He yelled to his team, “Focus fire on the left flank—don’t let them surround us!”
The warriors, armed with bows, spears, and now modified rifles, held firm. Explosive slings launched from the towers. Spears lit with oil flew in arcs, setting swaths of the battlefield ablaze.
Chemical soldiers fell—but they did not scream. They fought with robotic precision, reforming their lines again and shooting them.
Marah and Drakon charged down with elite warriors, engaging in brutal close combat. Marah's sword danced with flame, slicing through enemy after enemy.
Suddenly—
BOOM.
The AG59’s Eagle cannons roared from above, blasting apart a section of the cliff. Earth collapsed. Warriors scattered. Ryker had joined the battle.
Avera looked up at the monstrous aircraft. “We must disable that jet. If it drills into the mountain, we’re finished!”
Dalen called over the comms: “ That is Ryker. I’ll lead a team through the left ridge. We’ll reach the AG59 Eagle from behind. Buy us time!”
Avera nodded. “Go.”
Then, gripping Flameheart, she turned to face the next wave alone—her body glowing faintly now, the ancient bloodline awakening.
