Ryker, his body half-bound by Avera’s radiant chains, let out a roar that shook the valley.
“If I can’t have the —no one will!”
He slammed both fists into the ground. The -infused chemicals in his blood reacted violently. A pulse of dark energy erupted from him, cracking the earth beneath their feet. The mountain groaned as if in pain.
From deep within the cliffside, an unnatural tremor spread outward.
Avera’s eyes widened. “He’s trying to destroy the mountain from the inside…”
Ryker began to rise again, his form burning and crumbling from within. But his madness gave him strength. He staggered toward the mountain path—the ancient route to the hidden chamber of the .
“No!” Avera shouted, landing in front of him with a crash of light.
Behind her, Dalen shouted orders, rallying the warriors. “Protect the path! If he reaches the chamber, it’s over!”
Villagers, soldiers, and allies rushed to block Ryker’s path. Arrows flew. Explosives thundered. Even wounded, Dalen joined the front lines.
Ryker screamed, a corrupted titan against a people now united.
Avera planted her glowing hand on the earth. Her voice echoed like the old world itself:
“By the light of the stone, I bind you.”
But Ryker surged forward once more—heading straight for the mountain.
