Groaning, I rub my eyes as the sun peak through the living room curtains. Oh Crabby patty! I fell asleep on the sofa last night. I just knew my back was going to hurt today. I could feel it in my bones. Aha, seeing what I did there!
I close my eyes again and contemplate whether to go work today. Groaning I pick up my phone and saw it was 07:00 am. So early. I hug Mr Noodles in my face, his so soft and smells like berries.
Standing up for the sofa I stretch my body to get the knots and cracks out. Yawning I make my way to the kitchen and made a bowl of coco pops. Yummy!
Finally done, i put my bowl in the sink and made my way to the bathroom. I put in the stopper and open the tap to scolding hot water. That's the only way to take a bath. Seeing the bath fill up to a proper length, I put in my pink and purple bath bomb, so pretty and fuzzy. I wonder if it tastes delicious just as it look.
Undressing myself I get in and slightly shiver, it is really warm but lovely.
"Aaah, this is the life" I slowly sink in the water as it relaxes my stiff body.
I have and hour to spare seeing as I have to be at work at 08:30 am. I like to be early at work so I can get my hands on some of the new books so I can read it before anyone takes it.
45 minutes pass of relaxation, the water starts to get cold. Pouting, I drain the water out, when all the waters gone I get up and step in the bathroom mat. I take my towel and wrap it around myself and go the the sink to brush my teeth. Done with my facial routine, I step into my room and go to my closet.
Picking out a poly white dress and red sandals, match with my strawberry earrings. Going to my vanity, I make my hair in two space buns and leave two strands out close to my face. I apply mascara and some lip tint.
Happy with my look, I smile at myself in the mirror and walk out of my room to retrieve my bag from the living room. I hug Mr Noodle goodbye before making my way out the door.
I step in the elevator and press to ground floor. Waving at the receptionist, as I finally make my way to the library. I shiver as a little wind blew against me. Lucky for me, I always keep a jacket in my bag. Coming closer to the library, seeing as I have time to spare, I make a quick pit stop by the bakery two stops away from the library.
'Okay Lena, you can do this all you have to ask for a cappuccino, that's all' I mentally pep talk myself in the awaiting line.
I could feel sweat building up. I hate this, being nervous to speak or order in public. Something as simple as talking on the phone freaks me out.
Coming in front of the counter, I gulp down saliva before speaking.
"H-hi uhmmm... can I errr I have a cappuccino pl- please" I stuttered softly. My mouth go dry.
Oh no my stuttering is starting.
"A what?" The cashier ask, clearly annoyed as she roll her eyes as she clink her long nails on the counter.
"A-a cappuccino please" I raise my voice a little. This is stressing me out. I going to cry.
"That will be five dollars" she scrutinise me under her eyes.
"O-okay" I whisper out softly.
I reach clumsily for my bag to take my purse out. Bloppie! Why didn't I take my purse out before hand. I could here grunts from people behind me.
"I'm sorry" I apologise looking back at the cashier. I could feel tears threatening to fall. I sniffle quietly.
I cry in stressful situations or when I'm in an argument. I hate confrontation and I'm an emotional person , I can't help it.
"Can you hurry up, there is people waiting in line!" The cashier snapped at me, speaking in frustration. More grunts were heard in the line.
'Don't cry Lena, don't cry Lena' feeling my vision getting blurry.
"Here you go" I heard a woman's voice behind me as they put a five dollars on the counter.
"Come on honey, let's go" I felt her hands around my shoulders as she moved me out of the line, towards the back of the bakery. Her sweet perfume invaded my nostrils. She smelled good.
I looked down sniffling in humiliation.
She lead me to a table and sat me down. I heard a chair being pulled out as she took a seat in front of me.
"Are you okay honey?" she questioned in a soft voice while pushing my front stand of hair behind my ear. Her voice was alluring.
Her calling me sweet names, made my tummy feel warm inside. I liked it! It reminds me of Anna !
"I'm okay, I'm sorry that you had to pay for me" I said while looking down while fiddling with my fingers.
"It's okay, I don't mind" she said softly. Wow, she's so nice.
"Thank you, I'll pay you back, I promise" I hurriedly wiped my tears away to look at the woman who saved me from more humiliation.
This is the worst day ever and I'm late for work. Crappy patty! I hope Ms Willows won't be mad at me. Looking up I'm met with a pair of blue eyes.
Wow! She's beautiful. She has a small nose with slanted blue eyes and not to small lips. Her cheeks were rosy pink and her lips were a little pink shade. Her face was bare of makeup. Her round face surrounded by black hair. Her hair make her blue eyes stand more out.
Oh, what I would do to be pretty without makeup.
"I'm Olivia, what's your name honey" she smiled a small smile at me while looking at me with sympathy.
"I'm Le-Lena" I blushed, looking down at my hands then looked back at her.
"Some people are mean, aren't they, Lena?" Olivia said with a frown on her face.
"I was taking too long to give her the money, I didn't mean to take long and it upset her. It's all my fault. I'm sure she didn't mean it. Maybe she was just having a bad day and I....." I rushed out trying to justify the cashiers frustration.
"No, none of that Lena. She should have been patient and should have not snapped at you like that, honey. And it was not your fault at all" Olivia tried to reassure me.
"Thank you Ms Olivia, for helping me. I struggle to speak in public. I get nervous and begin to stutter" i thanked her, looking into her pretty blue eyes, to try and steer the conversation away from the cashier.
"No problem at all honey and you can just call me Olivia" she stated
After that we sat in silence. I felt comfortable and at easy with sitting with Olivia in the bakery. I looked out the window while Olivia stared at me. My face was flushed the entire time.
It reminded me so much of how I felt with Anna. The vibe they gave off were in a way the same.
The waiter bought my cappuccino, I thank her before standing up. I need to get to the library soon.
"Thank you so much for today Olivia. I don't know what I would have done without you" I thank once again, smiling a big smile at her.
I take my backpack off my back a take my purse out in attempt to repay her for the cappuccino.
"Here you go" I retrieve the money and move it in front of her.
"Nope. I said it was fine honey" she chuckled while waving her hands in front of her.
"Are you sure, Olivia?" I asked hesitantly. I hate when people pay for me.
"I'm sure, Lena" she rolled her eyes playfully.
"Thank you. I have to go now, I'm late for work" I put the money back and purse my purse back in my bag and then put it in my back.
"Where do you work? I can drop you off if you want, it's no problem. I start work a bit later" she offered, taking a sip out of her cup.
"No, it's okay. I work by the library just two stops away" I chuckle lowly.
"But thanks for the offer, Miss Olivia. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day " I waved with my cappuccino in my hand and walking to the door.
"Bye Lena. Thank you, I hope you have a good day too honey" she smiled while giving me a small wave.
I walked back in front of her and quickly lean down and gave her a quick hug.
"Oh. Thank you for the hug sweet girl" she stiffen up but slowly relax in my arms and hugged me back. I squealed internally.
I sigh and embrace the warmth she emitted. I wish I could stay like this forever. This is the first time a initiate a hug with a stranger or someone in general.
I blush and released her from the surprise hug and walked out the door and breath in the chilly air. Olivia is really nice, I enjoyed her company. She's nice and really pretty too. I giggle softly to myself as I walk to the library.
I hope to meet her again. And hopefully Anna too.
'I hope Ms Willows won't be upset with me' I thought as I stop in front of the library. Saying a small prayer. I step inside.
Shoo, what a long day it's going to be. I just know it.
