Helping Lena - Chapter 30: Chapter 30

Olivia's pov
I huffed as I walked to the front door. Carring bags of groceries is no joke. I fumble with getting the house keys out of my pocket.
"Aha!" I exclaimed in victory as I got it out. Sighing, I soon realise I have to open the door.
Anna had send me out to buy more baby food and groceries. During the days that Lena was in newborn headspace and sick, she ate a lot of baby food. So we just want to be prepared whenever she slips so little again.
Opening the front door, I'm met with Lena and Anna sitting on the floor. Both look like they were crying. What the heck happen while I was gone. They didn't seem to notice my presence as they were busy talking.
I wonder what happen. I made a mental note to ask Anna later.
"Hi, I'm back" I said excitedly and held up the bags.
"Hi love" Anna said with a smile as both of them turned to me.
"Hewwo mommy!" Lena said with a gigantic smile. So freaking cute! I still feel warmth in my stomach when she calls me mommy!
Lena got up from Anna's lap and ran to me. I quickly drop the bags and catch her as she jumped into my arms. I pepper her face with kisses and swing her in a circle. Her giggles echoing in the house. Lena really brings joy and liveliness into our home.
"No 'owe mommy" she screeched in joy.
"Okay, honey. Mommy will stop" I laughed as I sat her on my hip.
"Did you get everything?" Anna asked as she came over to us. She leaned in and kissed me. Nice.
"I did" I kissed her again when she pulled away.
"No, my mommy" Lena pouted and frowned. Pushed my face away from Anna and hugged my neck tightly. Oh, a jealous baby! We both laughed at her while she glared at Anna.
"But mommy is my wife" Anna pouted back at Lena. Who did not look impress at all.
"No, mommy my 'ife" Lena said snorting and kissed my cheek. Lena looked smug while Anna looked flabbergasted.
I burst into laughter and so did Anna. We were totally not expecting that.
"Now tell mama, where is your ring? Mommy bought me one"Anna smirked and shakes her ring finger in front of Lena.
"Mommy, why Lena 'ave no 'ing?" Lena asked with a sad face.
"Uhhhh..." I didn't know what to say. I watched Lena's face fall. Oh crap!
"Mommy bought you some things. Do you want to see?" I said enthusiastically. Please let this work.
"WES" Lena squealed excitedly as she squirm in my arms. Lena loves when we buy her new things, especially stuffies.
"But first, the bags need to go in the kitchen and the food needs to be packed. And you little miss, need a diaper change" Ann said taking Lena from my arms and walked to the kitchen.
I saw her smirk. I looked down at the bags and picked up in one go, no way am I making another trip. I swear Anna thinks I'm her slave. But it's cool, I get 'rewards' from it.
Packing away the things went quickly with the help of Lena and Anna. Although, Lena drop majority of the things, we praised and she loved all the attention.
"Are you ready for your surprise?"
"Wes mommy!" Lena said shaking her little hands.
I took out the two new stuffies for her. One was a elephant and the other one was a Moana doll. I watched her doe eyes went big in happiness as she squealed so loud, my eardrums could burst.
"Thankies!!" She pulled the stuffies in her arms and gave them a tight hug and stuff her face in them, purring like a kitten.
"I wuvs it!" She hugged me and kissed my stomach.
"I'm glad you do" I smiled softly and kissed her head.
Dinner went by quickly with Lena making a mess. How do someone wear a bib and somehow still get their clothes dirty. Her hair stuck in her face, but she didn't care as she ate with her hands.
"Come on, bath time" Anna said, lifting Lena out of her highchair. She didn't even bother wiping Lena's face or hands.
Lena giggled and clapped her hands. Walking up the stairs consisted of many giggle and funny faces. Ann opened the baby gate as we walked down the hallway.
"I'll run her bath and you take off her clothes" she passed Lena over to me and walk to the bathroom. I wonder if I'll get lucky tonight.
I walked into Lena's nursery and laid her on the changing table. I took off her T-shirt and tights. Suddenly a sharp stench came from her diaper.
"Something stinks, is it you?" I asked in a funny face.
"No me" Lena giggled and kicked her legs.
"It is you! You poopy butt" I crunch my nose up and tickled her stomach, Lena squirm trying to get away from me.
I finally stopped and began to change her messy diaper. I pulled off the sticky tabs and ran the front part of the diaper through her private part, to get the some poop off. I took out some wipes, lifting Lena's legs to her chest and wiped her down. She squirm as the cold wipe touch her.
Done with cleaning her up, I turned around to the bin and throw the things out, not realising Lena was turning onto her side. I turned back just in time before Lena can roll off the changing table. I heard Anna scream to catch her as I grabbed Lena by her stomach. I felt my eyes ring.
"Oh god!" Anna said in relief, breathing heavily as she walked over to us and took Lena from me. Probably from the sudden scream, Lena begins to cry.
"Shh, it's okay" Anna bounced Lena and walked out to the bathroom.
I stood there, wondering what the hell just happen. I couldn't believe I almost let her fell. What kind of mommy am I?
I walked to the bathroom and saw Lena playing with her toys, babbling happily while Anna washed her. I just stood in the doorway and watched them. Anna turned to glance at me before turning back to Lena in a second. I frowned at the thought at Anna being upset with me. It was an accident.
"Let's get you to bed, missy" Anna said taking Lena out of the bath with a towel wrapped around her.
"Milky, mama?"
"Sure, sweetheart" Anna cooed walked pass me to the nursery. I followed them. Why do I feel like I'm being ignored.
She lather Lena up with baby lotion and diaper her. She made her hair into two pigtails. Lena looked adorable. She sat in the rocking chair and situated Lena.
"Are you mad at me" I asked timidly. I hate when she is mad at me.
"No I'm not" Anna sighed.
"I didn't meant to let her fall, Ann. I just thrower her diaper away and the next thing I know, she's rolling off. Promise you not mad"
"I was for a moment, but I realised the same thing with the whole stairs story. There is nothing to be angry for" she smiled at me.
"I'll go get her milk" I sighed in relief and walked away.
"No baba" Lena suddenly exclaimed, struggling to sit up in Anna's lap.
"Not this again, Lena" Anna sighed, helping her sit up.
"What do you mean?" I asked confused
"During lunchtime, while I was fixing her snack, she wanted milk. I told I'll fix her one and suddenly became upset. She kept screaming 'no baba' 'milky mama'. I tried to comfort her but she just pushed me away. I decided to get her bottle out of the fridge, but she took it out of my hand and throws it on the floor" Anna said looking confused. Lena whined and hid in Anna's breast.
"Then what happen" this is the first time I hear Lena acts like this.
"She drops to the floor, crying and banging her hands and feet on the floor. I counted to three but she didn't listen, so I put her in timeout. Just before you came in we were having a talk on what milk she was talking about" Anna pulled Lena's face from her breast and turn her to face us.
"Can you tell us what milky you are talking about?" I asked Lena who was playing with her fingers.
"Mama milky" she whispered out softly and stared at me with big eyes. I turned to Anna who looked shock and confused and so did I .
"Can you show mama where 'mama milky' is?" Anna rubbed Lena's back.
"In 'ewe mama, ins mama boobie" Lena said, tilting her head and pointed to Anna's breast.
She poke Anna's right breast, and it made Anna hiss in pain. Finally understanding what she means, Anna looked at me with saucer eyes.
