Lena's pov
Getting off the call with my mom was one of the most heartbreaking thing ever. My dad was one of my favourite people in my life. He basically was an escape goat for me when my mom would coddle me.
The only reason I was able to work and get an apartment of my own was because my dad convinced my mom to let my experience life on my own.
I couldn't lose him!
"Can we at least walk with you inside?" Anna asked sounded concern and upset.
"Yeah" I nodded reluctantly and walked to the entrance.
Upon entering the hospital, I could see my mom pacing up and down in the waiting while nibbling on her fingers.
"Mom!"
"Lena!"
My mom came rushing over to me as she pulled me into a massive hug. I immediately buried my face in her neck as tears started rolling down my face. I could hear soft sobs from my mom, making my heart clench.
"We are so sorry about your husband, Miranda" I heard Anna say as she rubbed my back.
"Thank you" my mom whispered ass he pulled away from the hug and cupped my face in her hands.
"How's dad?" I asked sniffling as I my mom wiped my tears away.
"He's stable right now. The doctors have him under 48 hours surveillance just to make sure you will be okay to go back home" she said sadly as he gave me a small smile.
"C-can I go see him?"
"Yes you can. He's in room 204, right down the right hallway" She said giving me a peck on my forehead.
I turned to Anna and Olivia. They had sympathetic looks on there face.
"Thank you for bring me, I'll be okay on my own from here, I got my mom" I said.
"Are you sure you don't want us to stay here with you?" Olivia asked, looking once again flabbergasted.
"I'm sure. Please go and enjoy your trip. I have my mom with me and I'll probably go with her home" I said giving a reassuring smile.
"Ookay. I love you sweetheart. Make sure to fetch some of your things before you go home with your mom, here is the key" Anna said, pulling me into a hug and laid gentle kisses on my head.
I snuggled deeply into her and inhaled her scent. I was going to miss her so much when she's gone.
"I love you, bumblebee. Please be safe and make sure to call us everyday few hours. Make sure to take Ella with you" Olivia said pulling me from Anna's arms and gave me a massive squeeze before letting go.
"I will, I promise"
I watched Anna and Olivia hug my mom and me one last time before walking out of the hospital. I could feel my stomach drop and my heart break as they were out of view.
My eyes sting when it finally dawn to me, I won't be able to see them for three days and I won't be able to slip.
I bit my bottom lip to stop it from trembling. I quickly excuse myself from my mom and went to the bathroom. I quickly opened the tap and threw cold water on my face. My eyes were weed and slightly swollen from crying.
I don't know how I will cope without Anna and Olivia. I have never been so long away from them while on good terms.
I picked up my phone and stare at our group chat. Anna's name was mama💜☺️and Olivia's name was mommy💜☠️.
I quickly locked my phone and walked to my dads room.
Upon entering my dad room, there was list of wires and machines priding his body making me feel sick to the stomach.
I couldn't fathom the thought of him leaving me. Sobs escaped me as I walked over to his bed and sat down, holding his hand in mine.
"Please get better dad, I miss you already and it hasn't even been a full day" I chuckled while sniffling.
He was unconscious as he just laid emotionless there. It was a strange sight to witness. From a strong and funny man to a frail looking immobile person.
It hurt so bad, and all I just needed now was my mama and mommy and Ella.
"I hope you get well soon dad" I whispered, laying a kiss on his hand and laid my head down on the bed before my eyes closed.
7 hours later
I groggily woke up as I felt someone shaking me awake. I quickly adjusted my eyesight and saw my mom standing over me.
"Hi mom, what time is it?" I asked groggily as I stood up and stretched my sore limps.
"It's 7:30 now. Visiting times are over" my mom said sadly while looking at my dad.
We bid our goodbyes to my dad and got into the car. My phone dinged making me unlock it. There was multiple messages from Anna and Olivia in the group chat, checking in on me.
And reminded to to make a stop at the house.
"Mom can you quickly drop my at Olivia's and Anna's home, I just need to get a few things"
"Sure, where are they?" My mom asked glancing over at me.
"Remember the vacation I told you about, it is actually today"
"Oh yes, did they leave without you?" My mom frowned not looking pleased at all.
"Yes, but it's not like that. I forced them to leave the hospital and go in the trip. I didn't want to spoil ma- Anna's birthday weekend" I blushed realise my mistake.
"Oh" was all my mom said before she turned her gaze back on the road. She didn't look very happy about the information I just shared.
"Yeah" I sadly said, giving her directions to the house.
Soon we parked into the driving. I frowned when I realised the lights were still on. I was certain the lights and everything else was turned off before we left.
"Did you guys forget to turn the lights off?" My mom called from out the window.
"I guess so" I said back and walked to the front door and inserted the key.
The moment I opens the door, my breath hitched and tears came to my eyes in an instant.
"Hi baby"
"Hi bumblebee"
There stood Olivia and Anna the living room with smiles on their faces.
"W-what, h-how? You left, I saw you left" I said speechlessly.
"We did, but we did t leave for the airport sweetheart" Anna said with a slight tinge on her cheeks.
"Lena, when we said we would always be there for you whenever you need us or not, we meant it" Olivia said with a determined face, hoping to get her point across.
"You didn't think we would leave our baby behind and just go on a holiday, now did you" Anna said teasing with a smirk on her face.
"Well..."I trailed off as I blushed in happiness.
I couldn't take it anymore as a squeal left my mouth as I ran over to them and tackled them into a hug. Making us fall onto the sofa as we giggled.
"Oh my sweet baby" Anna cooed as she and Olivia attacked me with kisses making me giggle in happiness.
"Don't cry bumblebee" Olivia cooed, wiping my tears away.
"It's happy tears. I'm so glad you guys stayed, I don't think I would be able to cope without you guys" I said emotionally.
"That's exactly how we feel baby" Anna said looking at me with love in her eyes.
"Thank you" I whispered grateful and laid a kiss on their lips.
"Nothing to thank us for, you family"
I stayed cuddled up with them before I remembered my mom in the car. I quickly pull away from the cuddle pile and made my way to the car.
"Are you ready?" My mom asked.
"Anna and Olivia never left, they still here" I squealed softly.
"Are you staying here?" My mom asked looking sad.
"Actually we were wondering if you would like to spend the night with us" I heard Anna's voice said behind me.
"Yes mom! That be awesome" I said excitedly.
"I don't want to intrude" she said sounding nervous.
"Oh that's just nonsense. We have a guest room already set up, you are most welcome to stay" Olivia said waving my mom off.
"Thank you, that would be great" my mom said reluctantly after a while.
"Yayy!" I squealed.
