I yanked a cola from the fridge, twisted off the cap, and chugged half the bottle in one go. The icy fizz hit the spot—I let out a satisfied sigh and wiped my mouth with the back of my hand.
Vivian shot me a death glare, but her eyes dipped lower, lingering on my abs a beat too long.
"Three bucks."
She fanned herself furiously with that ratty palm-leaf fan, the breeze fluttering her linen vest just enough to tease a sliver of pale skin and the delicate strap of her camisole. Damn.
"Viv, the cola's three bucks. What about you?"
The second the words left my mouth, I wanted to kick myself.
Idiot. She wasn't that kind of woman. What the hell was I thinking?
Game over. Piss off Vivian, and say goodbye to the best view in town.
"Brat, you asking for a slap?"
Her cheeks flushed pink—less angry housewife, more flustered schoolgirl.
Seriously, how was this woman pushing forty? She looked barely legal.
I stared. Couldn't help it.
Okay, fine, my eyes might've been glued to her.
"Viv, I mean it." I set the cola down hard, dropping my usual smartass grin for something real. "Every guy's got a type. Mine used to be those '90s Miss Hong Kong pageant queens. But after meeting you? There's only one woman for me."
"Really?"
Her whole face brightened at the comparison to those iconic beauties.
"Swear to god."
I batted my lashes, flashing her my best hopeful smirk. "So, Viv... maybe you could...?"
I let it hang. Even I had limits—push too hard, and I'd just look pathetic.
Vivian studied me, then sauntered around the counter. Her fingers trailed over my abs, up my chest. "Not bad, kid. You really want me that much?"
"Hell yeah."
I nodded like an overeager puppy.
"Fine. For a pretty boy like you..." She wet her lips and jerked her chin toward the back. "Come with me."
First time in her private room—way cleaner than I expected, though stockings and lace bras dangled from the bedpost like trophies.
Vivian shoved me onto the mattress, her gaze turning molten. "No man's ever set foot back here before. Consider yourself lucky."
