The day before his engagement, Jonah hosted a bachelor party at his mansion.
His friends quickly became red-faced and slurring as they drank and boasted.
One particularly drunk guest lowered his voice and asked, "Is Jonah really going to marry that Lily girl? I heard she works at Ocean View..."
"Shh!" The man beside him quickly covered his mouth. "Don't say that out loud! If Jonah hears you, you're dead!"
Sobered by the warning, the man whispered, "So it's true? Jonah doesn't know? No one's told him?"
Another guest snorted. "The player finally got played! Jonah's seen so many glamorous women that he craves innocence now—and those types are the best at faking it."
"Nobody dares tell him the truth. Even if someone did, he wouldn't believe them. We'd be the ones screwed!"
"Madison was much better. At least she came from a good family, and damn, that face—"
"Hey! What are you guys whispering about over there?" Jonah called out, waving a bottle of wine, his speech slightly slurred.
The gossipers quickly plastered on smiles. "Nothing important! Just talking about Madison. We were saying that of all your exes, she was the most...wildest!"
Everyone eagerly agreed: "Hell yeah! Gorgeous, knows how to play the game—and most importantly, licked your boots for seven damn years!"
Someone immediately added with a lewd grin: "What kinda 'licking' we talking about?"
Knowing laughter spread throughout the room.
Within seconds, the laughter died down.
Everyone saw Jonah lounging on the sofa, expressionless, twirling a wine glass in his hand.
The joker swallowed nervously. "Just kidding, Jonah, no offense—"
After a long silence, Jonah tilted his head and smiled faintly. "Why even ask? Obviously the best kind of licking."
The atmosphere ignited again, with raucous laughter nearly lifting the roof.
Jonah wore an amused smile as he slowly spoke: "Speaking of which, I'm actually starting to miss her."
The laughter abruptly stopped. Everyone stared at Jonah, unsure of his meaning.
Jonah snapped his fingers and called for his butler.
"Call Madison. Tell her I'm giving her one last chance to service me."
"Otherwise, I'm really going through with marrying Lily."
