At the Traditional Medicine Clinic in Viremont City.
Director Teddy Jart handed the sealed medicine pouch to his young apprentice and instructed, "Please personally deliver these to Mr. Tucker in Eldraeth City."
"You mean Jeremy Tucker?"
"Mm," Teddy replied simply.
When it came to anything concerning Jeremy's health, Teddy would never delegate the task to others, fearing someone might tamper with the medicine.
As soon as the young apprentice left, Teddy called Aiden.
"Mr. Bell. The aromatherapy blend for Mr. Tucker is ready. I've asked my apprentice, Yohan Zane, to deliver it personally. Each medicine pouch is properly sealed. Please check them upon receipt before use."
Aiden expressed sincere gratitude to Teddy, saying, "Mr. Jart, we truly appreciate your hard work."
"Mr. Tucker has been a strong supporter of our Traditional Medicine Clinic. It's the least we can do," Teddy answered.
"By the way," he continued, "Could we include this prescription in the collection of clinic?"
Aiden hesitated briefly before responding, "I'll need to consult the owner of the prescription first, Mr. Jart. I'll get back to you as soon as possible."
On paper, Aiden was Jeremy's driver, but in reality, he was also his personal bodyguard, and held the title of Head of Security at the company.
After hanging up, Aiden headed straight for the CEO's office to see Jeremy.
After his illness, Jeremy's energy had significantly declined. Anticipating future challenges, he promptly hired a professional advisory team to help manage the company's operations.
When Aiden arrived, Kade Owens, the advisory team leader, was discussing business with Jeremy.
Seeing Aiden enter, Kade tactfully wrapped up the discussion, stood up, and said, "Mr. Tucker, I need to step out for a smoke."
Jeremy nodded. Once Kade had left, he turned to Aiden and asked, "What's up?"
"The medicine from the Traditional Medicine Clinic should arrive around 9 p.m. tonight, Sir. Mr. Jart's apprentice will deliver it personally."
"Also, Mr. Jart would like to ask if that calming aromatherapy blend could be included in the clinic's collection."
Jeremy was a little taken aback.
Only the most representative prescriptions make it into Teddy's collection at the Viremont Traditional Medicine Clinic.
'Could Ruth, the one who came up with this prescription, really just be an ordinary village doctor?' Jeremy wondered.
Jeremy replied, "I'll check with her."
He then Jeremy gave Irene a call.
When Jeremy called, Irene had just gotten off work and was standing outside her studio building, waiting for Dorian to pick her up so they could visit Dorian's brother at the hospital.
Irene was a bit taken aback when she saw Jeremy's name pop up on her phone.
This was the first time Jeremy had ever taken the initiative to call her. Irene answered, "Mr. Tucker? What can I do for you?"
Jeremy had originally intended to ask about the prescription.
But when Jeremy opened his mouth, what came out was, "Why don't you call me Jeremy anymore?"
Lately, Irene had been calling him "Mr. Tucker" much more frequently than "Jeremy."
Irene wasn't the least bit worried that Jeremy might see through her little secret. She calmly explained, "I figured, since Dorian and I aren't at the stage of discussing marriage yet, calling you Jeremy wouldn't be appropriate."
'Seems reasonable enough,' Jeremy thought.
Jeremy almost asked about the love charm, but the words stuck in his throat. He wasn't sure why.
"Do you remember that calming aromatherapy blend your grandmother prepared for me? Mr. Jart wants to add it to the collection at the Traditional Medicine Clinic. It could really help many more patients in the future. Of course, she'll be compensated. Could you ask your grandmother if she'd be willing?" Jeremy asked.
Irene replied, "Sure."
"By the way, you..." Jeremy started to say, but the line went dead before he could finish.
Irene hung up on him.
Jeremy set his phone down on the conference table, his expression unreadable.
Irene immediately called Ruth to ask for her opinion.
Ruth was making black chicken soup for Irene.
Hearing this, Ruth wasn't the least bit flattered.
Calmly tossing a few dates into the pot, Ruth said, "Of course I agree. It makes me happy to help more people."
"Alright then."
After sending Jeremy a quick confirmation on WhatsApp, Irene looked up to see a sleek black Maybach approaching her.
The moment the car stopped, Dorian stepped out, bending forward with a large bouquet of black roses cradled in his arms.
Dorian handed the roses to Irene, then tenderly kissed her forehead. "Sweetheart, I'm sorry you had to go through that at the hospital today."
Behind her smile, Irene's gaze was frigid.
