Jeremy was drenched in sweat, his teeth sinking into his lower lip as he forced out a pained whisper, "Remember, she has to be willing."
"Alright." Aiden answered. Then he cursed inwardly, 'Damn! How could someone as distinguish as Mr. Tucker just lose his virtue to some random woman?'
If he was going to experience that kind of thing, it should at least be with someone like Miss Jackson.
'Miss Jackson?' A sudden jolt shot through Aiden.
He stole a furtive glance at Jeremy.
As Jeremy's most trusted aide, Aiden knew him better than anyone—and he could clearly see that Jeremy's feelings for Irene went far beyond those of an elder toward someone younger.
Aiden thought back to that incongruous lip stain on the tea shelf at Serenity Residence, and the talisman Jeremy kept tucked in his wallet.
Aiden gritted his teeth, made a bold decision on his own, and quickly shot a message to Irene.
A short drive away, at Melody's exclusive club.
Irene had just stepped out of the taxi when she spotted Melody waiting for her at the entrance.
Melody immediately spotted Irene's new designer bag and grinned, "Wow, I love your bag!"
Hearing this, Irene casually shoved the bag into Melody's arms, flashed a playful grin, and said, "Like it? Here, take a whiff. This is what a 300 thousand dollar designer bag smells like."
"You little rascal! Nothing good ever comes out of your mouth!"
Melody pretended to be totally dazzled, running her hands over the black designer bag like she'd never seen anything so fancy, and teased Irene, "So, did you buy this yourself, or was it a gift from Dorian?"
"From that bastard Dorian."
Melody's expression turned more serious as she warned Irene, "Dorian really cares about you. If he finds out you're hanging out with those boy toys, you two might fall out."
Irene wasn't worried. She shrugged and said, "I'm just chatting with some younger guys—nothing physical, just good conversation."
Melody said, "Fair enough..."
She led Irene all the way up to the third floor. They navigated a dim and winding corridor before stopping at a tightly shut VIP suite at the very end.
Pointing at the door, Melody grinned and said, "Inside are a bunch of young college studs—strictly all talk, no action. Every one of them is a real charmer with sweet words."
"Take your pick. We've got guys of all shapes and sizes," Melody said with a mischievous wink, her grin turning downright playful.
It was Irene's first time doing something like this, and she couldn't help feeling a little awkward.
Melody pushed open the VIP suite door, pulled Irene inside, and clapped her hands to command the studs' attention.
"Boys, time to get to work! This is my bestie. Gorgeous, right? Whoever can make her smile tonight gets three thousand dollars from me!"
Hearing this, the boy all sprang to their feet, each striking his most charming pose and grinning as they greeted Irene, "Good evening, beautiful!"
Irene stared at the lineup of young studs, each flaunting perfectly defined six-pack abs. Her heart pounded like boiling water.
The heat inside her just kept rising.
'Damn!' Irene thought, 'Was my past life really this dull and celibate?'
Once she kicked Dorian to the curb and got her freedom back, she was definitely going to start treating herself right.
Melody grinned as she nudged Irene toward the couch. "Have fun, darling. Duty calls!"
The moment Melody left, the pack of young studs swarmed in, surrounding Irene from all sides.
Irene was like fresh meat at a wolf party. Every one of those hungry dogs wanted a piece of her.
One of the young men grinned at her and said, "Beautiful, you look just like a Hollywood star!"
"Seriously, you can't be older than us. You look fresher than a college freshman!"
Irene gradually lost herself in the young studs' honeyed words.
Irene was in heaven, completely forgetting about everything else.
"What's got you down, honey? Tell us, and we'll be your mood boosters!"
Hearing that, Irene pulled a thick wad of cash from her bag and tossed it onto the coffee table. "Alright, boys, help me roast someone. The filthier your insults, the happier I'll be."
Irene waved a stack of bills. "Thirty dollars for every insult. Make it count!"
