Whitney was mortified, covering her exposed thigh: "You bastard, GET OUT!"
"Like hell!" Harrison pressed down on her, kissing her lips: "You're MY woman. I absolutely won't let you see other men, let alone bring him home!"
She fought desperately to escape his advances, making too much noise and waking the baby in the crib.
The little guy kicked his legs, crying heartbreakingly.
"Camden!"
Whitney's expression changed dramatically as she bent her knees and kicked Harrison hard.
As the man loosened his grip in pain, she grabbed the baby from the crib and ran out: "Xavier, help me!"
Xavier emerged from the first-floor guest room, shielding her while glaring at the pursuing Harrison: "Are you DONE? Breaking into homes at night to harass my woman?"
"Get the hell out or I'm calling your mother to come get you personally!"
Harrison clenched his fists and reluctantly left.
At the door, he stopped and looked back at Whitney: "Whit, I absolutely won't let you be with him. Over my dead body!"
After Harrison left, she got the child back to sleep and said seriously: "Xavier, Harrison won't give up until he gets what he wants. How about we get engaged first? With public scrutiny, even if he harasses me, he won't dare go too far."
"Okay, I'm willing to be your shield for however long." Xavier looked at her with heartbreak: "You've finally gotten your health back—I don't want him wearing you down so you can't sleep again."
The next day, Whitney woke up to find she and Harrison had made trending news.
He'd generously donated three buildings to their alma mater in her name.
He also announced on Twitter that he was turning her mother's old house into a lily garden.
Facing reporters' cameras, Harrison's face glowed with joy: "My wife and son aren't dead—they're alive!"
"I want to do everything I can to save our marriage. Please help me, everyone. My plan is to win her back in 100 days so we can have a family reunion for Christmas!"
She laughed coldly and put down her phone.
Where did he get the confidence to think she'd change her mind?
For things she'd discarded, she never felt nostalgic and never picked them up again!
"Whitney, breakfast." Xavier set steamed eggs on the table, looking hesitant: "Harrison just posted your photo publicly and netizens are speculating you're the dead Whitney Collins. How do you plan to handle this?"
"Whitney Collins is dead. I'm Dawn Collins."
Whitney took his hand and posted a photo, posting on Twitter: "Mr. Sterling has the wrong person. I'm not his wife Whitney Collins. I'm Dawn Collins, and this is my fiancé Xavier Shaw."
Instantly, Xavier reposted with: "Please show respect, Mr. Sterling. Stop harassing my fiancée Dawn Collins."
The next second, Harrison reposted Xavier's post with a comment: "Ha! If you keep claiming Dawn Collins isn't my wife, then why does her son look exactly like me as a kid?"
Then Harrison posted a report on Twitter: "Hey Xavier, here's my paternity test with Camden. What've you got to say now?"
Whitney was shocked and furious: "Xavier, when... when did he steal Camden's hair for testing?"
Xavier got up to check the crib, his voice heavy: "That sneaky bastard took the kid's hat last night while we were distracted. Now your identity's blown."
"Even if my identity's exposed, it doesn't change my decision to refuse remarriage!" Whitney typed rapidly: "Harrison Sterling, I'm definitely marrying Xavier. You can die alone!"
