You had been sneaking around with Dr James Wilson for about 6 months now. You hadn't had the discussion about being exclusive yet but you knew you were both too busy to see anyone else, you could sometimes barely make time for each other. Wilson would make you melt. He made your heart surrender to him, you were his. You hoped he was yours. You had been good friends before this happened but six months ago you made a move at a work party and now here you are. You were so happy with Wilson. You hadn't been out with him much, it was mostly a physical relationship. You wanted more but you hadn't gotten to the point to ask him just yet. You didn't want to lose what you had with him just for the chance at something else. Until the time to have that talk would come you would just have to swallow your true feelings and continue on the way that you were. You didn't want to pressure him into anything, you know that he's been married a few times before and is currently finalising his latest divorce so you don't think he would be ready for anything just yet.

You were standing in the hallway near the patients room just talking to Chase about the patient and anything else that came up. You were only 2 years younger than Chase and you had met at a medical conference a few years ago. You got on fairly easily with him. He was quite funny and sweet. He was one of your best friends at the hospital.
'Chase.' You smack his arm. 'You can't say that. She's the kids mum.'
'So?' He rubs his arm.
'She's a patient.'
'No her son is.'
'Either way, her son is in your care. You shouldn't flirt with her.'
'She's hot though.'
'And?! You' you poke his chest. 'Shouldn't make a move until the child is discharged at the soonest'
Chase shakes his head at you. 'Sure sure. Whatever.'
You shake your head and look down the hallway to see Wilson standing at the other side speaking to House while staring at you. You give him a warm smile and continue chatting with Chase.

'Wilson. Wilson.' He snaps in Wilson's face. 'Hello? Back to reality please. I need advice.'
Wilson snaps his head round to House. 'Oh this is the part where I give you advice and you pretend to listen to it. I love this part.' He shakes his head.
'What on earth are you staring at?' House follows his eyeline. His eyebrows raise and he smirks when he sees you standing at the other end of the hallway. 'Oh.'
'Oh what?'
'Her?'
'Who?'
'You know who. Also don't think I haven't notice that.' He points to his tie. 'You have been wearing the same five ties for the last four months. It's Thursday so it should be that paisley thing. You bought that yourself. You wanna look pretty at work.'
Wilson bites him lip. 'No.'
'Wilson's got a girlfriend. I think I know who is is.' He looks back at you.
'She's not my girlfriend.'
'She's something.'
'What? No.'
'You like her. You want to look pretty for her.'
'I just want to look nice, I got bored of the same fives ties.'
'Uh huh. Sure and I'm the Easter bunny.' House shakes his head and walks away.
Wilson continues to stand there and watches you talk with Chase. You smack his arms again and Wilson feels a twinge in his chest. He's a little jealous. He doesn't know why. You're not his girlfriend. You're relationship is, currently, only physical. He shakes it off and walks away.

You see Wilson walk away and end the conversation with Chase to follow him. You want to see him.
'I'll see you later Chase. Do not hit on the mum.' You walk away and turn back to him and point to your eyes with two fingers and point at him with them as if to say you're watching him.
You swiftly walk to Wilson's office. You can see the lamp on in his office and knock lightly on the door.
'Come in.' Wilson calls from his desk.
You slowly open the door and walk into his office shutting the door behind you.
'Hello baby.'
'Hi Y/n.' Wilson says with a half smile.
'Oh. What's wrong?' You walk over to his desk and walk behind it to stand next to his desk chair. He doesn't look up at you.
'Nothing. I'm working.'
'Sure you are. Come on tell me.' You sit on the side of his desk.
Wilson turns his chair to you and looks up at you with his honey brown eyes and a weak smile on his face.
You slowly lift your hand up and cup the side of his face.
'Tell me what's wrong. You look sad.'
'I'm fine.'
'Liar. You're terrible at lying. I like your tie by the way.'
Wilson curses himself in his head, House was right. He was wearing the tie for you. Now that you had said you liked it he was most likely going to wear it more often.
'I'm fine really Y/n.'
You lean forward and kiss his forehead.
'Whatever you say.' You move your hand from his face to his shoulder. You squeeze gently.
'Why are you here?'
'I wanted to see you. I miss you. You left quickly last night, I want to know why.'
'I had to go, we don't stay round.'
'I don't like that rule.' You say and look down. 'I'd like if you stayed. What's the worst that could happen?'
Wilson just shrugs and sighs.
'I saw you and Chase talking.'
'Oh yeah. He was talking about hitting on the mum of a patient. I told him it was a bad idea. He never listens to me though, so he'll most likely come back in a few days and tell me he said something to her. He can be such an idiot sometimes.' You chuckle to yourself.
Wilson doesn't share your amusement. You can feel him tense under your hand as you rub his arm.
'Oh? You're tense. Why?'
'I don't know. I've been stressed lately.' He shrugs again.
'You tensed when I spoke about Chase...' your voice trails off. 'Oh.' You smirk. 'Jealousy is a new colour on you. I haven't seen it before.'
'I'm not jealous. You're not my girlfriend. I have no reason to be jealous. You can speak to whoever you want.'
You now feel a twinge in your chest at his words and his sharp tone.
'Oh. Ok. Never mind. I'll see you later Ok ?' You get up from his desk to leave.
You reach for the door.
Wilson sighs again. 'Wait.'
You turn to look at him, you're sure he can see the pain in your eyes.
'What?'
'Maybe I'm a little jealous.' He whispers. Barely loud enough for you to hear.
You smirk. 'What was that?' You walk over to the front of his desk slowly.
Wilson runs his hand through his hair. 'Maybe I'm a little jealous.' He says slightly louder.
You rest your hands on his desk and lean down so he can see right down your top. 'One more time baby, I still didn't quite catch that.'
'I'm jealous Ok? Happy now?' He hangs his head low and places his head in his hands.
You smile at him and shake your head. You walk to the side of his desk, where you had been before and peel his hands away from his face and lift his head to look at you. Once you have lifted his head you can see the light pink colour his cheeks have turned.
'Why on earth would you be jealous of Chase?'
'I don't know. He's good looking.'
'He's not my type.'
'How? He's textbook gorgeous.'
'I like them older.'
'Isn't he like a year older than you.'
'Two years actually, that is nothing. I like them a lot older. Closer to ten years.' You wink at him.
He nuzzles into your hands slightly.
'Oh.'
'So why are you jealous?'
'I don't know.' He says quietly.
'You have no reason to be jealous. I like older men, with brown hair and honey brown eyes. With wide smiles and who get jealous sometimes.' You smirk at him.
'Oh.' He smiles at you and blushes even more.
'Who does that sound like?'
'Me.' He whispers again, even quieter than before.
'Come on baby, we both know you can be louder than that.' You wink.
Wilson face almost goes crimson. 'Sounds like me.'
'It does doesn't it? So what does that mean.'
'You like me.' He bites his lip.
'Yeah I do.' You lean down and leave a soft kiss on his lips. When you pull back you watch Wilson's eyes flutter open.
He's smiling his biggest and goofiest smile at you.
You lean in for another kiss but before you can kiss him you hear a knock on the glass door. You both look up to see House standing on the balcony to Wilson's office. He opens the door.
'I knew it.' House says as he points at Wilson with a knowing look on his face. 'She is your girlfriend.'
'Maybe she is House. Get out.' Wilson throws a pen at him.
House catches the pen. 'I'm keeping this. Keep it in your pants Wilson. You're at work.' He winks at him and walks out and you can see him hobble back over the divider of the balconies and back to his own office.
You look back to Wilson and chuckle. 'So I'm you're girlfriend am I?'
Wilson looks down and bites his lip. 'Only if you wanna be.' He looks back up at you.
'Of course I do.' You press a loving kiss to his lips. This time it's slower. There's more passion and admiration in this kiss then any of the others before. You pull back and say
'Maybe jealousy is a good colour on you. Like this tie.' You lift it up and fiddle with it.
He nudges your arm and pulls you in for another kiss.
He pulls away from you. 'I bought it for you.'
'What?'
'The tie. I got it to look nice' His voice trails off 'for you.'
'Oh really? Well it's nice. The green works well with your eyes.' You smile at him and run your hand through his hair.
He smiles and blushes at you.
'You have no need to be jealous James. I like you. I only want you.' You rub your thumb along the side of his cheek.
He sighs. 'I like you too.'
'Good.' You lean in and leave a soft kiss on his lips.
